On top of Dad still being in the hospital, our internet was down and our provider could not figure out why, so a tech is being sent out today. That meant I could not get my articles posted, and they advised me to take my laptop somewhere where I could connect and do my work...SERIOUSLY that's why I pay for INTERNET SERVICE! God is testing my will and patience I'm pretty sure and I'm TRYING so hard to be better at both. I was very nice and accepting. Thanks to DH , he saved the day by bringing me a aircard from work and now I can connect and get my writing out there..WOOHOO!
So I've officially been Paleo for 4 days and the results ((((DRUM ROLL)))......
2.6 down this week!
I know that my results could have been better had I been able to exercise more. I barely have 200 minutes in this week due to Dad's dilemna, but I am very pleased with myself for not caving in under stress. I TRULY feel that the HEALTHY carbs such as my whole wheat bread, my whole grain crackers, oatmeal etc....reacted as they talk about. This may not happen with EVERYONE but for MY BODY, the reaction the scientific studies show are what occurs within me. I have no cravings for sugar at this point, I feel better, and my tummy is wayyyyy less bloated. The way beans and gluten products are digested by the body, it leaves the digestive system bloated and it takes 14 days for all compounds to be processed out of the body..did I believe that before I started this...I was on the fence. Do I believe that now with MY BODY, yes I do. The bloating I experienced is testament to what HEALTHY GRAINS did to my system.
Meal 1: Coconut milk, blueberries, papaya/mango/strawberries, flax, whole egg smoothie, handful of cashews, black coffee
Meal 2: Paleo chicken salad on top of a whole tomato, 2 cups of green tea
Meal 3: Chicken Soup from CE's most recent magazine...I just left off the parmesan cheese to keep it totally paleo
Meal 4: 2 cuties and a handful of cashews, 2 cups of green tea
Workout: 150 pushups, done between writing, waiting for dr's to call, and waiting for the internet people..not GREAT but it was something.....
Today will be a better day for us all. Dad may be going home. Hopefully his new meds will regulate his heart and my life can get back to a fairly normal routine. I miss it!
I read this yesterday in my positive thoughts book I read each day, and I REALLY strive for this: "we affirm one another through encouragement, praise, and building each other up. This gives us a great sense of worth." My goal: to make each person feel and KNOW how important they are to me in my life!
