Food Recall for your beloved Pet

Wednesday, March 09, 2011

Thought I would share this for those of us who give their dog daily treats. Normally pet food recalls are not reported by the US Food Safety, but if a human handles these, they can get Salmonella. Pass this on to other animal lovers you know :)

    Hi MUSCLEMOM_2;

Thank you, because I have 2 dogs and they get treats but not pig ears. A few years ago we had the scare in wet dog food with a lot of the companies. I no longer buy wet dog food, I make my own. I buy dry and pray because I would hate to loose either of my dogs. They are my friend and keep me going since my husband died.

Stay focused on maintaining your healthy living. God bless you always. Learn from Spark people and pass it on to others.

    I just gave my dog a pig ear yeaterday. 1st time in years, it wasn't in any wrapper, just out of the bin from our Agway. Praise God we all seem fine. Thank you

Fooducate: A free Iphone App

Sunday, March 06, 2011

I read about a new Iphone application that folks who want to make healthier food choices NEED to add to their Iphones. Fooducate is a FREE application that reads a food label and grades the food. This app gives details of hidden bad stuff such as trans fats, high fructose corn syrup, and preservatives that can be detrimental to our health. Great download.

I wrote an Examiner article with details if interested in reading more on Fooducate:

Fitness minutes resolution

Sunday, February 13, 2011

This year, one of my goals is to end the year with 20,000 fitness minutes. As of my strength training session today, I'm at 10% of my goal. emoticon Isn't it wonderful to see all of your daily efforts adding up to achieve something you set out to do?!
