DAY ONE JOURNAL for 16.8km run

Tuesday, August 21, 2012

I should thank Spark People to help me come this far. I've lost 10 kgs with spark people, and working for 6kgs left. Obviously I'm gonna maintain this for life and keep on sparking.

Currently I'm training myself for Adidas King of the Road 16,8km run on October 31st. I'm gonna post a blog everyday to share my progress, struggle and woohoo time. Hopefully the blogs will motivate me and others to keep on going.

What I did today:
7.5km walk/run for 71mnts outside at night plus 20mnts slow walk for cooling down.
I still couldn't run all the way till the end. What I did was following the music from the ipod. One song I run then I walked to the next song, then back to run again. I kept continuing this till the cooling down part.

I tried to run this far before and I felt okay; but today, my legs and hands were shaking after I reached home. I don't really know why but I know I'm gonna be fine lol.
I will post the updates tomorrow, cheers

u gotta have fun!

You are your motivation!

Friday, June 15, 2012

Guys, let me share with you about this. So far I always try to loose weight with a wrong way and wrong motivation for the worst. Usually I try to become slim for: guys (oh please yes I did this a lot), looks good on a part/ event.

Guess what, every time the motivation is gone, for example is break up or the party is over then I ate more than ever. I have problem with emotional eating, yes sweets 'are' my healer (please God help me to get rid off this habit). Again I repeat this over and over.

I'm tired of this, now I keep telling myself, you are your one and only motivation. Do this for yourself! Ffiuhh, if you have the same experience, look yourself in the mirror and say, you can do this, you r your motivation!

  You are definitely not alone!
I am an emotional eater and my healer is carbs! which is a complete and utter disaster.
but, here's what I do:
- Do not associate losing weight or exercising with guys. how? while on the treadmill and you are feeling tired but your goal is 2 hours for instance, just keep saying this is for myself. or when you are too lazy to get up and do some ab workouts or whatever, just think how much exercising boosts your spirit. for me, exercising makes me feel soo energetic through out the day that's why I always do it in the morning but when I am too lazy to do it, I just think of how much energetic and centered I am after a daily 1 hour exercise in the morning.

- When I feel like I need to have a piece of pie or cheesecake or some pasta after a long day at school (I am university student :)), I get myself in the kitchen and make that food from scratch BUT I don't eat it, I give it to some friends or neighbors as a kind gesture. Because for me, cooking takes out the energy inside of me to enjoy beautiful food so instead of eating it, I smell it or make it. (not sure of this works on everyone though, I have a passion towards cooking that's why it helps me) if you would like to learn cooking or baking, try they have a series of videos including recipes that are very helpful.

-If you are a sweet tooth and you don't really need to loose a lot of weight, You can a have a slice of cheesecake or 1 cupcake or 1 cookie every now and then but MAKE SURE it's very reduced quantities. so that you can have a little bit of everything and still enjoy a healthy body thus a healthy mind ;)

- Concerning motivation, you can try meditation and channel your thoughts towards this "I deserve a healthy body and a healthy life" because emotional eaters tend to think negative thoughts about themselves and that they don't deserve having a healthy body. so always reassure yourself that you deserve a healthy body.

P.S: these tips really work for me :) so I thought they might help you as well ;) best of luck!

Me, Myself and I

Saturday, June 02, 2012

It may be the title of Beyonce's hit but that is the only answer that I could find about weight loss, myself. Nowadays, there are so many ways to loose weight. Because of the lifestyle and habit, many people become overweight and that makes weight loss become business and industry.

There are gym, slimming center, diet pills, liposuction, and so many other ways offered to us in order to loose weight. I maybe still 20 yo but believe me, I'm struggling with weight my whole life and I tried almost every ways to loose weight. I joined gym, got a personal trainer, joined slimming centre twice, joined so many aerobic classes, and tried many diet pills. I'm not saying they are wrong or not working. It worked for me but became useless because I didn't fight the only problem, myself!

Every time I reached my goal weight the I loosen up or quit and got back to my old habit. I relied to much to my trainer and too lazy to exercise by my own. That's why i love this site so much, this site allows me to train myself to eat and exercise in the correct way and depend in my own strength. Believe me, the problem and answer in your weight lost in yourself.

Keep fighting!

Say No to Give Up

Saturday, May 26, 2012

Body shape influence the confident for some of us and absolutely myself. I lost my confidence when I gained weight, the problem here is I love food so much and guess what?! I release my stress by food.

I always give up in the middle of the diet process. I joined gym before, got my ideal weight then stop and gained more. I tried diet capsule, lost some kgs and put back more than before. I buoyed weight loss program in the aesthetic clinic but still keep my food and don't loose any.

Now I realize if there's no such thing as diet. What I should do is changing my life style for now and forever. I'm 64kgs now (I used to be 48) and I have a long way to go. I don't want to give up until I reach my goal that's why I want to write my journey in this blog to remind me to stay strong.

Never give up!
