I was put to the test...... I passed!!

Wednesday, February 08, 2012

Today was day 3 in the gym and everything was stopping me from going!!! emoticon

I have to wake up at 7:15 in order to get everything done on time to leave out as soon as my daughters bus arrives at 8:45 to arrive to the gym by 9:00, to walk for an hour so I can get to work by 11. Whew, that sounds busy!! emoticon

I have to get my daughter dressed and fed. Although she is almost 18 she is physically and mentally impaired so I have to get her ready like I would a 2 yr old. And as you know, feeding and dressing a 2 yr old can be challenging. She didnt want to change her undies, so she kept playing. She wanted to dance around instead of getting dressed. Then while I was feeding her she kept laughing. Gotta love em!! Not to mention I pushed snooze a cpl times so I was running behind schedule!!. I couldn't find my ear piece and I had to fix my lunch, so I didn't leave out of the house until 5 till 9. I was so upset I thought about turning around.

Once I got to the gym, even though I didn't think I would be able to walk my full hour, I get in the locker room and realized I left my headphones in my car. How could I walk for an hour with no music!!!!!! Well, I took my towel and covered the screen and I started. I keep looking at the clock and saying "ok less than an hour to go", " ok, less that 40 mins". I said I don't want to be fat and 40!! Then a gentlemen got on the treadmill next to me and he started playing music from his phone. I was like, "Thanks I needed that!!" Turns out he forgot his headphones also. Well, that only lasted for 15 mins, but after he left I did the same thing. I only needed it for 20 mins. When I took my towel down I only had 13mins and 27 secs to go!!!! I did it!! I passed my test, I found a way to continue even though every thing was going wrong!!

Have a great day everyone!!

emoticon Good for you! You stuck to your plan, even when the going was tough! Now, when you have challenges, you can always look back at this day and tell yourself, "I did it then -- I can do it now!"

Keep up the good work! emoticon

40 and Fat??? I don't think so!!!!

Tuesday, February 07, 2012

I Was sitting here thinking my up coming milestone, I will be 40 in almost 2 months. I refuse to let my weight keep going up and up!! I didn't want to get up and go walking this morning, but I just said to myself, " you don't want to be fat and 40." I am so excited about making this change! Another incentive I have is that I am going on a cruise the week of Thanksgiving and I want to wear a swimsuit. I know I will not be ready for a 2 piece, but at least I will feel comfortable with one!! emoticon

I changed my tracker

Thursday, February 02, 2012

Soooo.. because I wanted a little motivation, I changed my tracker to fitness minutes. I have to admit I haven't put forth any effort towards fitness. I have a gym membership that I pay for annually and I never use. Maybe is I have to look at my tracker, I will become motivated to get my butt into the gym!! Lets see how this will work!! emoticon

One day at a time... That's the ticket!!

Sunday, January 08, 2012

So today I didn't have the stir fried veggies like I said I was going to have, but I did do something different. I made spaghetti (using ground turkey) and I ate half of what I usually eat and instead of having two pieces of bread, I had one. Like I promised myself, baby steps!!

I am also planning to go to the gym for the first time in a long time!! I am preparing my lunch and gym bag so I am not rushing to do it in the morning. I am actually really excited. I even scheduled myself to go into work an hour later so I have time.

Have a wonderful day tomorrow everyone!!! emoticon
