I didn't wait till Monday, I started today!!!

Saturday, July 07, 2012

I always say on Monday I am going to do this and that and my Monday doesn't seem to come!! I have been a part of SP for a very long time and have seen success stories and I want to be one of them!!!

Today I made an effort to get on the right track, I logged all of my food!! I didn't wait on that Magical Monday!!! LOL I woke up with the attitude of let's start today. I am so tired of being tired!! I have even taken my meds like was supposed to. (That's a whole other blog) The saying "Why put off for tomorrow what you can do today" popped into my head.

I have been watching a co worker, the person who introduced me to SP several years ago, go from a size 20 to a size 6 in the last 7 months or so and I am so jealous!!! I know I shouldn't be because I can do it too, but I want it now!

I can't wait to see what the next 30 days brings, I have to do this!!!

I know I am all over the place in this blog, just some random feelings I am having!!! Have a great day everyone!!!

I can empathize with you in so many ways! I too am a "I'll start Monday person" and I will tell you for years now I have dreaded Mondays. I also look at women all around me who are losing weight, and it makes me so upset with myself for not caring for myself enough to do th same.

I just started SP 2 weeks ago, and though my progress has been slow, I am more motivated than ever and feel that I have all the tools I need to succeed this time. The hardest thing is to just stick with it, be patient and accept that I am doing this for the long haul, and celebrate the small victories and good choices every day like tracking my food or taking a walk.
Best wishes to you on your journey! And hopefully 7 months from now, we'll be the ones shwing off our new bodies! emoticon

I'm guilty of that, too--thinking I'll start on some day in the future. That's great that you just went ahead and started today!

A great day....It feels good!!!

Sunday, March 04, 2012

Today was a great day for me. Normally my Saturday's are spent in the house in the bed sleeping as long as I possibly can!! My washing machine went out earlier in the week and I was not able to get it repaired because I spend 50 hours a week working. I called to try and get it fixed and I was told I couldn't get it fixed until Monday. I was a little upset because I knew that meant going to the laundry mat. Hmmmm not my idea of fun with my daughter!!! I got myself moving and I cleaned my kitchen , including floors and walls!! I never do it all together!!! I cleaned the walls leading up the stairs and the landing. I kept saying where is Vanessa , and what have you done with her. I never have this much energy on a Saturday!!!

I put on my big girl panties and headed out with 5 loads of cloths and a child who wasn't in a good mood, not a good combination!!! I haven't been to a laundry mat in over 10 years, I didn't even know how to use some of the machines, sad huh!! After everything was said and done I was happy because it only took me a couple of hours to was, dry, and fold 5 loads of cloths, not I have all day to myself and it only cost me $8.50 (free drying). I may try this again!!!

When I got home I vacuumed, cleaned the bathroom, fed my daughter, gave her a bath and I still have a little energy to come and visit my spark friends!!! emoticon

I love working out and having energy!!!!!

OMG I know I hate when the machine goes out as well but it is easier/faster when you are at the laundromat! Good luck getting it fixed.. I am in need of a new one-- hoping this one holds out longer!

Vanessa, great job in getting all of your cleaning and laundry done! Losing weight will give you energy for many things including cleaning and exercise!

You had quite of lot of energy to do all that!!! I walked 5 miles today with my friend and came home with a lot of energy. I should have cleaned my house but unfortunately I too work alot, some of which is done at home so I tackled some of that so I will have time to get in another long walk tomorrow!! Hope you get your washer fixed!!

Zumba is SO much fun! I feel like I look crazy when I do it but I love the felling after where my shirt is twice the size because of sweat (ew, I know, but come on, good workout status!!) Embrace the burn! Waking up and not being able to move makes me feel so accomplished!

I'm Learning to Love My Hair!!!

Saturday, February 25, 2012

Ok, I am starting on this new journey to love my hair. I use to hate that my hair was curly and wanted it straightened all the time. I have decided to embrace my natural hair! emoticon I am trying new products so if you have any suggestions, just let me know. I am adding some photos of my journey!!!

Just wanted to show you the texture.

From one curly locks to another, learn to love it for sure. It's what makes us unique. There is a brand called Ouida that makes shampoos, conditioners and treatments specifically for people with curly hair. She's a curly head herself. They are available readily in the US.

Making healthy choices......I am staring to get this!!

Friday, February 10, 2012

I know I have an addiction to food and I am trying real hard to beat this!!

Today when I left the dentist I had to make it to work. I didn't bring a lunch so I knew I had to grab something. I was thinking of all of the places I could go near my job and I got discouraged. I didn't want anything heavy, just something to stop the hunger. I stopped at Burger King. Normally I would grab a chicken crisp sandwich meal or a fish meal, not to mention large size. Today I actually walked in and got a grilled chicken salad with light honey balsamic dressing. I was so proud of myself. I even tried something new, the dressing. I am such a picky eater(believe it or not), so I surprised myself when I said a different dressing than ranch!!!

I am wishing everyone a happy weekend!!! emoticon
