202.6 lbs. my highest weight EVER!!!

I weighed myself this morning. I should have done it as soon as I woke up, but I waited until I ate breakfast. So I know that the number was slightly higher than what it would be without food in my system. But what I saw on the scale was a number I always dreaded seeing.

One of the reasons I joined SP over a year ago was because I weighed over 190 pounds, and I just had to do something about that number before it hit 200 pounds.

Well... no need to worry about that anymore...
Sept. 21st, I'm up to 202.6 lbs, the HIGHEST I've ever been in my life!!! Again, I know a couple of pounds are because I just finished eating. So with that in mind, that would still put me around 200 pounds!

Something's gotta change! I know that these medication adjustments have my body retaining fluid & going through changes, but this is not cool!

Well, let's see what happens this week?!

You know te numbers in my weight when added together (202.6) equals a perfect 10! What a great place to start! And today the 21st when added together equals 3, the number of the Trinity! Whom better to start anew with!
Yes I'm feelin better already! Thank you Lord!!!

Vitamin D Deficiency & Armour Thyroid 30 Days To A Change...

So yesterday my Oncologist called and I find out that my Vit D is like a 20, so I'm Vitamin D deficient! Good thing she did those labs along with my thyroid levels! I was experiencing so many different symptoms that she thought it might be vitamin D.

So yesterday I started surfing the web to find out more about dangers of and solutions for... And today I went to Lazy Acres and bought 2 months worth. My doctor wants me to take 4,000 units and the bottle contains 120 2,000 unit gel capsules.

I'm excited about taking the pills. I'm hoping that it will help my weight loss, hair loss, muscle aches, and breaking of cuticles & skin around my nails, just to name a few problems.

AMOUR THYROID for my hypothyroidism, well I'm back on it as of today. i'm excited it was the first thyroid med I had taken and worked pretty well. So , once again, HOPEFULLY I'll do my part & then with God's direction, these (and the other) medical setbacks will get better and be eliminated or find their right place in my body!

Okay, just wanted to put this out there, in case someone has had an experience (or knows of someone) with these two medical issues (Vitamin D deficiency or a Low Thyroid).

    hi (i stumbled across your page while searching low vitamin d )i i just found out i was low vitamin d ,thyroid and my iron stores. im hopeful that getting it all in balance will help the frustration ive experienced in trying to lose these extra pounds.

    Thanks for sharing. God is good, I know you'll be back to yourself soon. I have a close co worker who had vitamin D deficiency. She's also been taking her pills and doing well. And she loves the sun, so she's been soaking up a few minutes daily to get the natural vitamin D too.

My mam and sister had low thyroid and ended up on Thyroxine, it's hereditary so I take tests every far so good.

Fall Into Fitness 12 Week Challenge **ReVisited**

FitTV Team's "Fall Into FIT-ness" 12 week Challenge 9/7-11/30, 2008
- Loose 7 lbs ! So I should be @ 184lbs by Nov. 30th
- 2 FitTV Exercises/wk !
* CLEAN a bit every day !
* DO Bedtime Prayers consciously!

I'll try to track myself here & then also post on the team site briefly, since not too many are taking part in the challenge.
Starting weight 191 lbs. 0-1 FiTV Shows a week. Cleaning every blue moon. Rarely say prayers on my knees before bed, although I might talk to (pray to) the Lord in bed, it's not a concsious let me pray tonight decision!

Week 1: 9/7-9/13
Went pretty good. I gained weight though, I cleaned the sink (dishes) and cleaned the shelf under my frog's house a bit. And prayed 2xs concsiously. Taped FitTV but did no workouts.

Week 2: 9/14-9/20
Today I'm @ 197lbs, it's Wed. I plan to do FitTV workout today. No deliberate bedtime prayer. Some cleaning so far. I've been eating a lot of sweets lately. Also I've not eaten on purpose, just whenever & that's the healthy stuff. I'm now 13 lbs away from this challenge goal. Boy do I have work to do. Hopefully starting the Well Fit 10 Week Program next Tues. will help me loose. It didn't before, but I'm optimistic this time around!

Week 3: 9/21-9/27

Week 4: 9/28-10/4

Week 5: 10/5-10/11

Week 6: 10/12-10/18

Week: 7: 10/19-10/25

Week 8: 10/26-11/1

Week 9: 11/2-11/8

Week 10: 11/9-11/15

Getting Up, To Fall Off & Stay Off

I've been gaining & I'm almost back to where I started, not good. Okay, so frustrations come and go but one thing that remains is the desire to be about God's will for my life! Which means that I'm never down too long!

I'm entering a new phase in life, I just know it. And these pounds MUST fall off & stay off!!! This fall I've got to get down at least 15 pounds before 2009 comes around! I'm starting with at least 7 by Thanksgiving. being 175 to start off the new year would be GRAND. Loosing some body fat & toning some muscle would be even better!!!

Well the lyrics written below are a great inspiration for me (just recently). So I thought I'd share them with you! Hope you enjoy!

    Pounds are so easily gained but so hard to take off. Just stick with it... Don't let down. Come to the Surviving Cancer team page. It's quite active now. You might just find the spark to keep you going....without going backwards. Of course... We can do "all things through Christ". That sometimes doesn't make it easier because it's till us who has to be motivated to "Take of the weight and keep it off". Now I'm just rambling on.... I trust you are FEELING ok these days.

Refilling My Vessel As Summer Ends

Okay, so frustrations come and go but one thing that remains is the desire to be about God's will for my life! Which means that I'm never down too long!

But I tell ya, this weight loss journey is so not what I expected. But I've met wonderful encouraging people here, that definitely helps. I have made many changes but I’m not moving forward, as fast, as I would like (but so is life sometimes). And truth be told, everything happens for a reason so...

Well, today is August 25, 2008 and as summer comes to an end, I need a push into healthier & consistent eating habits. My recent health problems make it more difficult when it comes to exercising. I seem to try too hard at times (sometimes trying to fit in with everyone else) I overdo it and push my progress back.

So this week I am trying to find another way, a better way, to care for my vessel. This requires some alone time with God, drinking water and keeping a clear head (to name a few things).

I hope that you find your journey to be a growing experience as well! Well, I best get going, time get some water for this vessel!!!

    This walk we take in life period is our journey & we do this weight loss thing to prolong our walk in this life! We also need to learn to enjoy life without feeling like we over did it?! We do our best everyday and that's the best we can do.
