It's Just Day 1, But That's Where It All Begins!!!

WEll it's a new day and although it's what many call "hump day" It's Day 1 for me and my new regime.
I've had breakfast, took my morning meds & now I'm about to take a shower before heading off to get some medical tests done. Depending on how I feel afterward & what time they finish, I just might make my way to the Cancer Center for the QiGong class. I've never taken it there before but it may be just what I need!

Speaking of needs, I really need to get some H2O in the house. The filter I got at Whole Foods won't work with my water spout in the kitchen...but maybe the one in the bathroom...hmmmmmm?????It might be good for my skin too! emoticon
Oh well, I'll probably take it back and just buy bottled water...

Well, all the best to everyone with their goals for the week. Again, I'm excited about this new plan that I have going. I believe I can do it...just stay the course. It's just emoticon but that's where it all begins!

    Great! emoticon It's good to reassess. Sounds like a relaxing class. Never tried though. Did you end up going?

Water filters can save money in the long-run. Sorry to hear this one didn't work out. I would like to get one. Bottled water is so expensive!

But gotta stay hydrated.

Kujichagulia!!! I'm Preparing for Spark's January Jumpstart Challenge 2012

Hey everyone & Happy Kwanzaa Day 2. Kujichagulia which means self-determination in English. And today, guess what I actually woke up DETERMINED! And I wasn't even thinking about which principle it was today. But it fits.
Well, I'm excited about starting the January Jumpstart Challenge on the 1st. I just signed up on the SparkTeam page (you should too if you can, as you may win some neat prizes)!

So, hopefully this will be the year that I keep up for the ENTIRE 31 days! lol I think I've signed up for SP's January Challenges for a few years straight emoticon
Yet I have never made it consistently past the 1st week!

I've signed up for the January Jumpstart Challenge too! We can help keep each other motivated! In order to qualify for prizes/contest you have to have 200 fitness minutes per week! So I'm going to try to stick to that as well!

I'm starting January 1!

I don't really do much for celebrating Kwanzaa but I do acknowlege it.
Back at the University we would do celebrations on campus, & I participated when I could. But I've never done anything on my own.

My Mom's Birthday Today Marks DAY 1 Of My Newest Goal :o)

Today's my mother's birthday & I'm so blessed to have such a WONDERFUL mommy!
It is also the homegoing celebration of one of my 1st cousins. She passed away on Tuesday at age 59 & so today my mom spent the day in mourning with family & friends but I hope that she's counting it all joy, a gift to celebrate her niece's life, so she can also enjoy this day that marks her birth!

As for me, as I morn I also count it all joy and have marked my mom's Birthday today, December 17, 2011, as DAY 1 emoticon of my newest goal, which will end on my Birthday, July 26, 2012...that'll be 7 months from now!

Of course we all want to be healthier, maybe lose weight, eat better, and be stronger in our bodies and souls...well, at least that's what I want! In reality some of you may just want to maintain what you've accomplished, gain healthy weight, or finish other life goals!

So today, I've exercised to one of my dvd's (not the whole thing but I'm happy with what I've done)! I ate breakfast! Had a snack! Ate a sensable Lunch! Been drinking tons of H20! Took my medicine! Went outside!
HEY I'm just keeping it simple and being thrilled with what I have accomplished as I go along!

Well, although I'mstill working on exactly what I hope to see in July of next year...I do want to get down to a good weight, which I recorded on SP & I want to be able to exercise pain free with flexability. But again, I'm keeping it simple. So I deleted the long list of SparkGoals and will focus on 1 or 2 at a time. Details to follow!

    Oh, as a LEO, you certainly are a person who wants to make an inpression when you enter a room, as you want to be the center of attention, so being "in shape" and looking your best is vital to you, but you do have the determination and drive to get what you want.
LEO has a 'big heart' when it comes to wanting to care for others, but she also has to watch for Heart Disease and Back issues. For those reasons you don't want to be fat. The "Lioness" is the hunter and she takes charge, but if you notice, as Lioness is always full of muscles and she's lean. She has to be fast and able to run. She always wants to win.

I'm sorry about your cousin who is 59. That is much to young to die, but since this is the only life we get, we have to make the most of each day. I know between now and July 26th, you will use each day. emoticon

Wow it's been a LONg time since I've blogged! Not that I don't like it, it's just been such a CrAzieR few months! That I don't even want to write about it...and if you've read any of my past blogs, I usually don't mind sharing.

I Really am Pumping up on My Workouts and Staying within My Calorie limits.     #1) Logging in my nutrition and exercise on time! Those weeks where I kept track and didn't wait 2-3 days to "catch up" proved to be the best weight-loss weeks for me!

#2) Pull up my first ever sweet potatoes before the frost----healthy pies and souffles, here I come!
