The Last Day in October 2008, what to do for November...

Today is the last day in October, Halloween for most and a birthday for my sister-in-law.
For me it's the day before a new month to try to do better!

I didn't finish the MC but I hope to do it again in the future. Maybe the first quarter of 2009. No , it wasn't because my lemons went just didn't work out this time. And yes I do think it's a good way to cleanse the body. I do believe that I'll do the Salt Water Flush from time to time even w/o the Master Cleanser.

So today while everyone is out trick-o-treating I will be home coming up with a workable plan to start exercising again, eating balanced meals, and just feel better abot me. I do think that if I focus on that the weight might come off and stay off. Even with the meds not making it too easy.

    Sorry it didn't work out this time, but I'm glad you're not beating yourself up about it. Here's one thing I learned from when I finally lost a lot of weight awhile back doing LA Weight Loss. If YOU really want to lose, you won't let anything stop you. Just remember that no matter what method you choose to lose, if you really set your mind to DO IT, you will be able to. Just make sure you choose something you can stick with. If you know you are gonna cheat, build that into your diet. Yesterday I just read a blog about a gal on here who has lost over 100 lbs! She allows herself a Hershey's miniature or one small square of chocolate each day. But that is all. Isn't that awesome? And she's already down over 100 lbs.!!! Neither of us has anywhere near as much to lose as her - and maybe it makes it a little harder for us because of that - but we can do it if we really want to. (Yes, I'm using this to encourage myself, too. I hope that's okay!) Let's Do It!!!

So this is a left side view picture also from Day 1. I know some people don't post pictures, for different reasons. But I'll say that it is very motivating and an eye opener! May I encourage you to do pictures of yourself, even if you don't show your face. It will be rewarding when you get in better least that's what I think it will do for me!

Okay, so it's Thursday and I'm on Day 3 of the Masters Cleanser. I'm not doing too bad, I am a little tired, but I also have some energy, if that makes sense. I have had some head & stomach aches, but I had that before I started.
After Bible Study I left my car there and got a ride home, because I was feeling light headed and a bit dizzy.

I know I should watch the snacking because I'm suppose to be doing it strictly like the book...but....I'm blogging to be honest.

So how's what I did that wasn't the book:
* I had 4 kiddie size starburst (if I had a mint I would have sucked on that)
* 1 orbit chewing gum (hey I can't have my breath smelling)
* 6 pecans late night ( I just ate about 7 this morning too.)

* I didn't do the lax tea at night, but I did have a cup of homemade Jamaican Hibiscus Tea

So as I start Day 3 I did the SWF and had about 3 cups of Lemonade. I have enough, 32oz left, to last me for a little bit, but I need to make another 128oz worth. I have everything out on the counter, so I'll get up in a bit to make it.

I still haven't done my measurements, but I am happy that the numbers are getting lower. My goal weight is to get to 185-170lbs in 14 Days.
This morning I thought that I might want to try to do 21 days (weight goal 178-157), but we'll see. This would put me closer to where I was after I got out of the hospital. Oh and my body fat % is getting lower which is also great!!!!! emoticon

You're doing great! Just keep on doing all the good stuff you're doing. Get yourself some mints of that'll keep you from being tempted by the starbursts... and that would help your breath, too! You know what to do, and you're doing it almost 100%! And you're losing, too!!! YEA!!!!

As for adding an extra week, that'll be up to you - and how you're feeling. By the time you make it through two weeks, one more will probably seem like nothing!

Rosalyn Does...(MC) Detox Day 1/14 Down

Okay so that picture is the back of me. I'm wearing a size 12 bikini bottom (on purpose) & my White Puerto Rico Tank (it's rolled up, but my niece picked it out and it's a bit on the small size even for a large). I picked these two pieces so that when I loose the weight I can wear the same thing and truly see how well it looks!
I haven't figured out how to do a split screen yet. But when I do I'll post a side by side of a front, back & side view.

It's Wednesday, October 22, 2008 the beginning of Day 2. This blog is a Day 1 Review:
So Day 1 of 14 is done. I actually slipped up and ate two things that I'm not even suppose to eat when I break the detox! Around 5pm I had 1/2 cup of pecans & a peanut butter and grape jelly sandwich on Hawaiian Bread.

Needles to say I was soon after motivated to not do that again, because I got the worst stomach ache emoticon I didn't even go to choir rehearsal.

I thought of stopping and start on my 1st planned start date, Oct. 25th...but I didn't I just finished the 64oz of drink and the nigh time tea before I went to bed.

A couple of great moments for the day... I went to my Well-Fit class and worked the strength training chart (I was a lil sore) & when my BF ordered a pizza I told him I couldn't have any so he just got his toppings on it. He had forgot that I was detoxifying. I didn't eat any pizza and was able t be in the same rom as he ate!

So I'm starting Day 2 and I'm taking a lil longer to drink the SWF (Salt Water Flush) this morning. Oh, I also had a few more eliminations yesterday, & 1 so far this morning.

I'm really impressed you didn't eat the pizza! Congrats on already losing some weight, too! Awesome! (But no more "snacks", okay? It sounds like you already learned your lesson on that one - eek!)

Today I start the Maters Cleanser (the Lemonade Diet). Well, I actually started last night prepping with the Cinnamon Spice Super Dieter's Tea (6oz)

Okay so why am I doing the MC for detoxification and weight loss? Since leaving the hospital this Jan., I have gained and retained over 35 lbs of fat & fluid (lyphedema, a Cardiology issue). The meds I take are to keep the fluid down, my blood pressure down (never had high BP before going into the hospital), immune system stuff and to regulate my thyroid. Anyway, there are just a much of medical issues.

I start this detox as a positive way to clean my system out & I hope to bring my weight down to a workable place of hope again.

I plan to detox for 14 days. I am starting off with dizziness, headaches, stomach aches, chest pains & difficulty breathing, swelling in my limbs (it's gone down, but it's still up a bit from the weekend), stiffness & pain in my limbs, dry skin & mouth, some hair loss... So we'll see how well they clear up. I'll continue to take my meds.

Body % - 46.0
Water % - 39.0

I took the Cinnamon Spice Super Dieter's Tea as a prep laxative last night (6oz.) And this morning I began with the Salt Water Internal Bath by drinking a full quart of luke-warm H2O w/ 2 level teaspoons of uniodized sea salt...oh my did I do 2 table spoons???

I will try to write at least once a day & post pictures. Just came back from doing lab work this morning. Do you know I could barely get anything into that little cup! And after drinking all of that water. Also they say that "several eliminations will likely occur ... but I havn't had but 1 (my stomach does keep bubbling though).

Well, we'll see how it goes. Time to make my batch of detox lemonade! See ya soon!

Moving my Body @ The Gym!

I'm actually at the gym right now. I finished my Well-Fit portion, now my head hurts & my lower back is killing me. I think I might order something from the cafe and then get in the jacuzzi. I want to stay around because there's a "Hip Brazil Brazillian" dance class @ 4pm emoticon &
I want to try it out, since it's only once a month! I don't know if I'll hang but I'll try.

I also have choir tonight @ 630pm so I should take it easy!
Well, okay! Take care all! As the weekend starts tomorrow!!!!! emoticon

Okay so I'm back home and choir was nice. I actually felt a little headache a few times during rehersal, but I'm home now!

After strength training (60 minutes), I got on the PC (7 minutes) and then ate a side salad and 1/2 of turkey wrap. And then it was time for class.
I did the Brazillian dance class (70 minutes). It was fun & over the top, but I couldn't take a break. Well, I did stop a few times for H2O & adjust the moves, but not nearly as much as I should have. I got in the jacuzzi afterward and showered just in time to be on time for rehersal.

Now I'm watching my nitetime shows: Grey's Anatomy, Project Runway, Ugly Betty & Glam God... well I'm only on Grey's Anatomy so far. I might be sleep and have to watch the others tomorrow after my Cardio doctor's appt in the morning.

Okay, I'm moving on and look forward to another blessed day!

I am a Grey's Anatomy fan too; I have to tape it though since I work Thursday nights; still have to watch last weeks episode.
