Fitness Challenge, HELP!!!

emoticon This Sunday, instead of being at church I'm Sipping on Tea Since I'm under the weather emoticon
Yet I am laying here thinking about what my next FITNESS CHALLENGE should be.
emoticonWork on becoming a Fitness Instructor like Pilates, Active Adults, Nia, or an ethnic one like Masala Bhangra, Belly Dance, etc.? That way I can cheer others on!
emoticon emoticon Maybe I should take the year to train for a fitness competition for body building or bikini comp.? This challenge might actually take more than a year to fit into! emoticon
emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon OR, Sign up for a marathon, like a really big popular one!?
emoticon emoticon emoticon Or how about I sign up to compete in a dance off of some kind? I do like those "Shall We Dance" films!
emoticon emoticon Perhaps I will find an environmental goal, like to climb or walk a historical monument?
emoticon emoticon Maybe train to get a degree of difficulty in a particular sport?

So many directions to go! I think I could use a little help!

So many things are rolling through your head! That's GREAT!!! I suggest SparkGuy's 10 minute or more Fitness Challenge. That sounds doable and FUN because you can incorporate any of those items into it and go for a STREAK!

Whatever you choose to do make it FUN and NOT something you will have to DRAG yourself by the hair to do it! lol emoticon

Hope you are feeling better in Jesus' Name. He wants us WHOLE in EVERY way!

This Lifestyle Change is Taking a Lifetime!

In need of some Monday motivation, my scale numbers are rising AGAIN! I need to hone in on my nutrition even more or something because I've been increasing my body movement, yet the scale is increasing. What do I have to do, go RAW?! Get hypnotherapy?! Eat like my kale loving bunny?! Geez.

I know that I've had life treating illnesses (which I still have prescribed meds for) so to be alive is a blessing that I should be thankful for.

It's definitely seems to be taking a lifetime just trying to get it right! But I shall be patient with myself. And hopefully I won't blow up at folks like this meme shows, oh wait, I probably have done this before LOL I must make sure to not lash out! emoticon So good to have a place like SP where you can talk about living healthier & not have to worry so about your friends not getting it.     That is so true that this site and all the great people on it get it! It is the best to be able to come here and write a blog and know that so many others can relate. But it is also true that it can never be a diet, it must be a lifestyle change and we are in this for life!
Hang in there! It can be frustrating and it is never easy but it is always worth it!

    Keep having faith and remember that the scale is not the only way to measure your successes! Can you move easier? Are you more flexible? Are your clothes getting big on you or fitting you more comfortably? Try asking yourself those questions before you get so disappointed! Hope that helps you feel some better!

    Making these 'lifestyle' changes is a long and tedious process that will guaranteed have its up and downs. All we can do is literally plonk forward the best we can and hope that while we are slowly moving forward, the weight is slowly coming off and our health is slowly getting better.

"Exercise & Bacon, there's Room For Both. Now What Was The 1st Word Again?!"
So it's been quite some time since my last blog, about 10 months actually. Well, I thought it would be good to get back into blogging because it helps me focus. So as I'm trying to figure out what I'd write about I drew a blank. Then the option of not writing and just waiting until a big enough topic came along would only turn into tomorrow. So I decided to share this google image and say something about it.

So, I recently finished a 12 week Livestrong Cancer Survivor's Exercise Program at the YMCA and I loved it! I had a 2X/week program with the Wellness Director and a great small group of wonderful women (men are also welcomed, it was this session that only the ladies signed up). Well, I wasn't feeling too well the week after and didn't exercise and by the end of the second week I found myself enjoying a Nia class. LOVED it! and well...that Saturday and then Wednesday for Qigong were the only workouts that I did. And here we are at Friday. It wouldn't be so bad had I been moving in some way (walking around my neighborhood, stretching, etc.).

So, this image above is such a reflection of how I've been feeling. I've lost of focus, in some ways, as I'm trying to figure out what type of exercise plan I want to tackle next. Because we all need a plan right! And then the above image is literal because today I finished my package of bacon for breakfast. But don't worry, I only ate 2 slices emoticon

It's hard to rearrange your life to fit the nutritional and physical healthy alternatives that you know will change your life.

So do I need and want to lose weight? Yes!

But above that there are some health issues like one that I found out about yesterday (acid reflux & the hoarseness I'm experiencing from it) that have the potential to put a wrench in my work for the Lord. Soooooooooo...I need every bit of His guidance to get me through to an even better place.

Well, that's all!
Looking ahead and at right now! Processing as I rearrange this life of mine.

Dee emoticon Thanks. It's mostly because I have several speaking engagements each month and I don't want to lose my voice entirely. Sometimes it goes out or sounds raspy. So I just want to get the acid reflux under control so that it doesn't continue to affect my voice box is all. I don't sing in the choir anymore which is really fine...sometimes I sing a verse or two during my presentations to add a lil spice! ;)

    All the choices look good! Choose one you feel like doing. I can see you really enjoy dance!!
I really like working out at home! I've been doing the Jessica Smith workouts (free on YouTube) and she posts a weekly class schedule so there is a lot of variety. She is also doing a fall challenge starting Sept 2 I am going to do. She is motivating and it makes it easy because I don't have to decide it's already done for me!
What you have looks great! I think you will be racking up the fitness minutes! emoticon

    Zumba! I have my own playlist I use on YouTube so I want have to keep choosing an I have a big variety and style I can choose from. I enjoy the Zumba videos but haven't did them in a while. I also use Tiffany Rothe whose videos are short some 10 mins others a little shorter. GREAT core dance workout but not like Zumba. I'm going to try and find some Body Gospel! See how it is. ENJOY whatever you do!

    There's also free excise videos offered on most Cable satellites. You can try some of those or you can rent videos from your local library. Also you can ask friends if they have any they are not using and maybe you can swap with them some of yours.
