Donít Look Back
As you travel through life, there are always those times
When decisions just have to be made;
When the choices are hard and solutions seem scarce,
And the rain seems to soak your parade.
There are some situations where all you can do
Is to simply let go and move on,
Gather courage together and choose a direction
That carries you toward a new dawn.
So pack up your troubles and take a step forward-
The process of change can be tough,
But think about all the excitement ahead,
If you can be stalwart enough.
There could be adventures you never imagined
Just waiting around the next bend -
And wishes and dreams just about to come true
In ways you canít yet comprehend.
Perhaps youíll find friendships that spring from new interests
As you challenge your status quo,
And you learn there are so many options in life
And so many ways you can grow.
Perhaps youíll go places you never expected
And see things youíve never seen -
Or travel to fabulous far-away worlds
And wonderful spots in between.
Perhaps youíll find warmth and affection and caring -
A ďsomebody specialĒ whoís there
To help you stay centered and listen with interest
To stories and feelings you share.
Perhaps youíll find comfort in knowing your friends
Are supportive of all that you do -
And believe that whatever decisions you make,
Theyíll be the right choices for you.
So keep putting one foot in front of the other,
And taking your life day by day.
Thereís a brighter tomorrow thatís just down the road,
Donít look back, youíre not going that way.

People who try to do something and fail are infinitely better than those
who try to do nothing and succeed. Experiencing failure is inevitable on your journey to be successful. Every defeat is merely an installment to victory.
Youíll find that the number of times you succeed is in direct proportion to the number of times you fail and keep trying. You wonít be judged by the number of times you fail, but by the number of times you succeed.
Failure is nothing but education, nothing but the first step to something better.
You canít be a winner and be afraid to lose
Donít be afraid of what life has to offer you. When you believe that life is worth living, your belief will help create the fact. The barrier between you and success
is not something that exists in the real world. Itís simply composed of doubts about your ability. Your only limits to your realization of tomorrow will be your doubts of today.
Success is a state of mind. If you want to be successful, start thinking of yourself as being successful.
What you believe yourself to be, you are.
You canít be beaten at anything, until you quit in your own mind.
There is no failure except in your not trying. There is no defeat except from within. You have no really insurmountable barrier except your own inherent weakness of purpose. The odds are with you if you keep on trying.
Consider yourself on a very long journey. Sustain your personal vision of success until you achieve it. In the end, you can only fail if you donít try.
Winning isnít everything, but wanting to is. Success is a road thatís paved with perseverance.

Use what you've got!
As we set and reach for new goals, it can be easy to overlook the fact that we often have everything we need to get what we want -- if only we will maximize our opportunities and resources. For example, in business, companies can become so consumed with attracting new customers that they fail to grow their business with the customers they already have. In the process, they can lose their existing clients in an effort to gain new ones. In personal relationships, you can become so focused on what a loved one is 'missing' that you forget to cherish all that they have to offer. In a job search, you can become so focused on internet searches and want ads, that you forget to do the one thing that leads to most jobs -- talk about what you want to the people you already know.
Next time you find yourself busy looking for solutions, don't forget the many resources that exist in your life right now. Whether you are looking for a job, growing a business, or strengthening a relationship, it is critical to maximize the potential of each opportunity and resource that you are blessed with. Consider these ideas:
1. Pick an opportunity. Any opportunity.
Make of list of opportunities that exist for you, but you have yet to take advantage of. Which ones fall in line with your purpose, desires and goals? Is it time to move forward on one of these opportunities? If so, make a plan, set a deadline, and go for it! Often, life feels stagnant not because you don't have anything to do, but because you have not made a decision to do something new. Keep yourself constantly challenged by exploring the opportunities that will cause you to stretch beyond your comfort zone.
2. Expect fear, but don't let it stop you.
Once you decide to move forward on a goal, it is normal to feel a sense of fear. Expect to feel the fear, but keep moving forward. When you do what you need to do in spite of fear, the feeling of fear subsides. You build your 'courage muscles' when you take advantage of opportunities despite a fear of failure, uncertainty or the unknown.
3. Stop dreaming and start doing.
The difference between those who spend their lives dreaming and those who spend their lives achieving their dreams, is that one has learned to stop dreaming and start doing. Focusing too much on what the future will bring can keep you from doing the things that will bring your desired future into existence. By maximizing your present moments on the journey rather than dreaming about the destination, your daily life becomes richer and more enjoyable. You also arrive at your destination much more quickly. What is it time to stop dreaming about?
What step do you need to take today?
Take time this week to focus on what you have before you -- the relationships, talents, opportunities, resources and life itself. Focus on using what you have, and you'll be delighted to see how quickly you create the life you want.

As you make room for God to do a new thing in your life, you must have the courage to do a "new thing" for yourself. Growth requires pressing, consistency, dedication, purpose and courage. Don't wait until you are sick and tired of being sick, tired, broke, lonely, stuck, abused, invisible, frustrated and desperate.
It's time to do a new thing!
If you have been quiet... it's time to speak up.
If you have been isolated and shy... it's time get out, socialize, network and meet new people.
If you have been a spender... it's time to be a saver.
If you have been discouraged... it's time to get up and be grateful.
If you have been a receiver, it's time to be a giver.
If you've been procrastinating... it's time to take action.
If you've been angry and holding a grudge, it's time to let go.
If you have never ventured beyond your local area... it's time to travel.
If you think it's too late for you...it's time to change your thinking and self-worth.
If you have been stuck on stupid... it's time to walk in wisdom and integrity.
If you have always been the giver... it's time learn how to r eceive.
If you seek escape and comfort in the wrong places and things...it's time to learn how to
cope in healthy and smarter ways.
If you receive invitations to gossip or argue...it's time to decline the invitation.
If you are always wearing your superwo(man) cape... it's time to delegate.
If you worry too much... it's time to start trusting God.
If you are always late and unorganized... it's time to start being punctual and reliable.
If you have been prideful, closed and defensive... it's time to be teachable.
If you are afraid to learn how to drive, use the computer, learn a new language, go salsa dancing, start your own business, tell the grown children to move out, go on an audition or interview or find a new church home that really feeds your spirit, teaches the word of God and blesses the community...it's time to do a new thing!
God wants to do a "new thing" in your life...but first you have to rid yourself of clutter, fear, limited thinking, poor choices and clinging to what is familiar, safe and comfortable. Ready...set...G R O W !
