Let Go of The Past

Friday, March 19, 2010

No regrets. As we become more aware, we begin to realize that there’s a purpose to everything that happens. This builds our trust, and supports us in being willing to be more open and daring to really experience life as it unfolds.

If we pay attention to what’s happening in each moment, we will discover that life continually brings us opportunities to heal our past wounds. When a painful memory surfaces, we can take the time to feel it fully, give compassion to ourselves and any others and allow the energy to release. As we deal with the past in this way IN THE PRESENT, we free ourselves to more fully connect with life.

PRIORITIES....

Thursday, March 18, 2010

When we clearly set an intention, our conscious and subconscious minds mobilize to help us meet that intention. At the start of each day, thoroughly review what commitments you have made to others for the day, and decide what commitment(s) you will make for yourself.

What can you do today that will move you one step closer to your personal goals? Own your power to choose to meet your own needs. After all, we are much better able to help others when our own needs are met. And at the end of the day, when you've honoured your commitment to yourself, acknowledge your success.

Great blog. I love this line, "Own your power to choose to meet your own needs." It simultaneously recognizes the power within us and compels us to take care of ourselves.

Happiness....

The moments of happiness we enjoy take us by surprise. It is not that we seize them, but that they seize us.”

40 DAYS COOKIE FREE....

Tuesday, March 16, 2010

I am proud because I did NOT eat any cookies for 40 days!!!!

I love cookies and they are addictive for me....so I worked really hard at increasing my will power. I could and have eaten them every day at one time.

I didn't have a set amount of days that I wouldn't eat cookies. I just wanted to see how long I could do it. And I did it for 40 days straight. I resisted all the temptations around me. It was not easy, but I did it.

Since then I have allowed myself to have cookies twice I ate the correct portion and did not over indulge, but now I am back on my cookie free streak.

I now know and realize that I can have a cookie every now and again without eating more than I should.

This is a real challenge for especially when I have to see them in the house and at work daily.

Recently, I have not purchased any cookies and have been overlooking and ignoring them even when they are screaming my name...lol.......

I am in control of my eating and that's a really good feeling.

Today I will not have any cookies for they are not on my eating plan for the week. Next month I am going to make a half a batch of "Clean Oatmeal Cookies".

You are good! I am trying to exercise my self control & find that with food it can rule over me? I can do it some times but some times it gets the better of me. I think that's why I haven't reach my goal but I am definitely working on fasting 1 day per week for the rest of the year. To get my mind & body under control. lol

God bless & thanks for sharing!

I can really relate to this blog!

I cannot eat cookies. I had one a few months back and the urge for another was so strong I had to get them out of the house immediately.

It took days for me to forget them.

WTG my friend!

Yeah, I know all about cookies. For me, it's only soft-batch chocolate chip cookies. Thank God, I have not touched them at all in 2010. emoticon

Keep up your streak, Queen.
