PRIORITIES....

Thursday, March 18, 2010

When we clearly set an intention, our conscious and subconscious minds mobilize to help us meet that intention. At the start of each day, thoroughly review what commitments you have made to others for the day, and decide what commitment(s) you will make for yourself.

What can you do today that will move you one step closer to your personal goals? Own your power to choose to meet your own needs. After all, we are much better able to help others when our own needs are met. And at the end of the day, when you've honoured your commitment to yourself, acknowledge your success.

Great blog. I love this line, "Own your power to choose to meet your own needs." It simultaneously recognizes the power within us and compels us to take care of ourselves.

Happiness....

Wednesday, March 17, 2010

The moments of happiness we enjoy take us by surprise. It is not that we seize them, but that they seize us.

40 DAYS COOKIE FREE....

Tuesday, March 16, 2010

I am proud because I did NOT eat any cookies for 40 days!!!!

I love cookies and they are addictive for me....so I worked really hard at increasing my will power. I could and have eaten them every day at one time.

I didn't have a set amount of days that I wouldn't eat cookies. I just wanted to see how long I could do it. And I did it for 40 days straight. I resisted all the temptations around me. It was not easy, but I did it.

Since then I have allowed myself to have cookies twice I ate the correct portion and did not over indulge, but now I am back on my cookie free streak.

I now know and realize that I can have a cookie every now and again without eating more than I should.

This is a real challenge for especially when I have to see them in the house and at work daily.

Recently, I have not purchased any cookies and have been overlooking and ignoring them even when they are screaming my name...lol.......

I am in control of my eating and that's a really good feeling.

Today I will not have any cookies for they are not on my eating plan for the week. Next month I am going to make a half a batch of "Clean Oatmeal Cookies".

You are good! I am trying to exercise my self control & find that with food it can rule over me? I can do it some times but some times it gets the better of me. I think that's why I haven't reach my goal but I am definitely working on fasting 1 day per week for the rest of the year. To get my mind & body under control. lol

God bless & thanks for sharing!

I can really relate to this blog!

I cannot eat cookies. I had one a few months back and the urge for another was so strong I had to get them out of the house immediately.

It took days for me to forget them.

WTG my friend!

Yeah, I know all about cookies. For me, it's only soft-batch chocolate chip cookies. Thank God, I have not touched them at all in 2010. emoticon

Keep up your streak, Queen.

The Fine Print....

Monday, March 15, 2010

I must confess....

I am guilty of NOT always reading the fine print even when I should. This time it was not actually "fine" print, but I posted before I read it. This will teach me to slow down.

I am blogging this for some that may have missed this just as I almost did. Just a little FYI for those of us that do enjoy blogging and passing along a good message that's written by someone else.

This is the print under the "Post Blog Entry" on SP

"* Post only in your own words: You are not allowed to post articles, pictures or other copyrighted material in its entirety unless you have obtained written permission from the relevant copyright owner(s). If you do want to post copyrighted material, please post only a few sentences for the reader's information and reference, and include a link to the rest of the content on the original site.""

For me this means I will be doing a bit more writing, which is fine.

Have a great day SP.....

Great goals. I don't know if you necessarily have to reset your ticker though. A 1 lb increase on the scale may not necessarily equate with weight gain . I've blogged and posted before about some of the changes our bodies can go through based on things like muscle breakdown and repair, monthly cycle, stress, fluid, etc. That's why I just leave my ticker where it is until I see a decrease if I know I'm following my plan.

Applaud yourself for staying committed. This is month 3 of the year and we've proven that we are not fair-weather Sparkers. We are changing our lives.
