As far as Mondays go, this was pretty normal. The day started out cool and breezy, then warmed up and here came the wind. Lots of dirt was blowing around.
This afternoon the hatchery delivered baby chicks for my cousin. Her son is in the hospital
undergoing tests so she asked me to pick them up until she has time to get them. They are residing in a box in my basement until tomorrow and I'll move them out to the barn. It will
take a little work as the older ones are accustomed to having the whole place to themselves.
FFA banquet went well. I made good choices. There was a lemon cheesecake dessert that was heavenly and had a lot of lemon in it. I went over my calorie range a little but will be back on track tomorrow.
As for yesterday, we enjoyed talking about the recital on the way home. The whol production was taped and copies will go to the parents later. All cell phones had to be turned off and cameras left tucked away for the performance.
Alas, some of the tasks left go earlier in the day needed to be addressed. DS had mowed all
afternoon and had two pickup loads of grass to dispose of, then homework until almost 11.
3 more weeks of school. He'll "survive but just barely, Mom"!
Thanks for reading and commenting. Tuesday will be here before we know it. Get enough sleep so you are ready for the day and have the energy to live life to the fullest. The world is waiting!
