It's Friday again and it is surprising how fast the week goes when you are one work day short. Last night DH and I worked through 2 5 gallon pails of wild plums. We pitted them and I cooked them down and ran the product through a sieve. Over 16 quarts of juice to be cooked
into jam or jelly sometime in the cold winter months. Some were as large as my thumb but
most were a lot smaller so it took a little time to pit them.
David has his first home football game of the year. It is my night to take the ambulance out
to the game and be ready for anything. At least I get a good view of the field! He says he gets
to start on the kickoff play. After that, who knows?
I had two ambulance runs this week. One was a heart attack that was brewing. The other
was exposure to toxic fumes. The person was using a product to loosen adhesive from a
wood floor. Both windows in the room were open but no breeze from outside and no fan
inside to stir the air. Patient came home that evening and states "I'm not doing that again".
The spouse agrees!
I have gotten back on track after the fair. Staying in all my guidelines, getting plenty of exercise and sleep and drinking my water. I have been spending time working in the
basement and rearranging fruit jars and canned food so I can find what I am looking for at
any given time. It's got to get done sometime.
Have a great weekend-more tomorrow!
