Since spring arrived early, I have contemplated cleaning the front
porch as it collects leaves and dirt through the winter months.
Today was the day. I moved things that should have been stored
in the shed last fall, plus put away the winter snow removal
tools. I gathered up the odds and ends and pitched most of it
into the garbage. The biggest part of the job was sweeping the
carpeting and getting the dirt into the garbage can. The wind
was trying to make a fool of me but I succeeded. It sure looks
much nicer now.
Inside I carried DS's graduation cards and gifts upstairs,
along with his 2 trombones, backpacks and dress shoes.
Since he has left for Performing Arts camp, I have the rest
of the week to rearrange the living room so it gets back
to it's intended use LOL. For so long it was a recovery
room and that is behind us as well. His voice is back to
normal, he sleeps better and is full of energy. He was
so excited to leave today that he forgot his sleeping bag.
Good thing he has friends who will borrow him one for
GS's birthday party was fun with lots of good food and
of course, birthday cake and ice cream. He had fun
with his cousins and playmates who were there.
Today we had a retirement party for our head usher.
After 55 years of caring for the flowers, lawn, and
shoveling snow, his doctor told him he needs to start
taking it easy. He is a very spry 96 years old. He
was moved to tears by the party and the gifts. You
would have to look long and hard to find another
wonderful man like him.
Time to get some supper in the oven so thanks for
stopping by and have a great night. HUGS!
