GS and Daycare Concert

We attended the concert for the daycare center. The children
were all dressed up and sang their hearts out. After the program,
we were treated to cookies, juice and coffee. I picked up what I
thought was a bonbon and discovered......a chocolate covered
cherry. I thought twice about spitting it out with all those little
eyes watching me LOL!
I am planning to set up the new computer tomorrow if I find my
click drive. I know it is here somewhere but I have seemed to
have misplaced it.
Well, as long as I have my mind, I guess I'll be okay.
I have to close off to make DS some waffles. He had late night
practice and he is hungry. Was that a growl?

Elementary School Concert

We watched our GD in her concert and it was just great. She
sang every song and knew all the words. The whole group
sounded so good. The B Band played and they sounded great
for their ages. The promise of many excellent concerts to come.
There was a basket raffle after the concert. Area businesses
put together baskets and people bought tickets to deposit in
the buckets for the basket they wanted to win. The owner
of the feed store and I put together a basket worth over $50
and they pulled my ticket out. I told them to draw another
ticket. That was my only winning number but that is how it
goes. The money is being raised to send our band to play
in Washington, DC in June. DS will be a part of that group
and it will be the last chance for him to participate in high
school band. Everyone is getting excited to reach their
goal to pay for the trip. Right now, it sounds like they are
very close to meeting their goal.
Are you getting close to meeting a goal? It can be any
goal you choose. What will your reward be? If it is a trip
to Washington, DC, you might see our band LOL!.

Cutting it short tonight

Monday, December 19, 2011

It was a very long day. Church, then practice for the children's
program, quick coffee break, get organized for lunch and the
trip to see out-of-town GC in their Christmas program in their
church. Hurry home to make pizza and sandwiches for the family
members who will attend Christmas program in our church
tonight. The little ones did just fine and DS sang a solo but
also sang with the younger kids for support. Nice lunch after
the program but I do need to get to bed soon as DS has early
morning BB practice. I'll blog more tomorrow. HUGS!

The Appreciation Day meal was a big success.
I dib quite a bit of shopping this afternoon and I am glad I went.
Ambulance run this evening just as supper was ready. I can
always eat when I get home.
GC spent about 4 hours here and they played so nicely.
One of my girlfriends stopped by for a long talk.
DH and I are trying to decide who wants to go to bed first.

Getting a jump on the weekend!

I am currently doing as much laundry as I can tonight as I am
anticipating all I want to get done. Four loads should be washed
and dried by bedtime. I am cleaning off the stove top as it has
been neglected. For now, I am letting the cleanser soak and
see if that will make the job go easier.
DH is gone to a meeting and I can pretty much move about
freely. DS is gone to his girlfriend's this weekend. DS2 has
gone to Colorado with friends to check out the skiing. Both
will return on Sunday.
Tomorrow is Ham and Bean Day at the gym. I am in charge
of making coffee and serving juice. It is always a busy day.
The weather will be mild for December so I hope the
crowds all show. After lunch, I hope to go shopping. I
just want to get that done and behind me. Christmas is
coming so fast this year. LOL! I say that every year!
