Saturday I canned 9 quarts of juice and then we decided to see
what goodies that garden had to harvest. We spent quite a bit
of time and took most of it to church on Sunday. We had extra
peppers, eggplant, cucumbers, red and yellow tomatoes,
broccoli, beets and cantaloupe. DS is gone to a county fair
to judge rabbits so I will be on my own. There is a chislic feed
tonight but it is just the chislic, crackers and either pop or beer.
I think I will stay home and eat my salad and some other veggies
that are on hand. If I get started with saltine crackers, that
could just do me in. I choose to eat a little healthier and I do
need to scour the garden and do the farm chores. Good excuse,
I am finding homes for all the extra produce and the members
of the congregation are so appreciative of our efforts so it makes
it all worthwhile. I just wish all my SP friends were a little closer.
I do love to share.
Thanks for stopping by. Share the love, dear friends, and do a
little something special for those in your community. A pat on
the back of a struggling SPer would fit the bill, too. The benefits
are so rewarding on their own. HUGS to all! Have a terrific Tuesday!
are worth it.
