Church and Sunday School proactive-although DD did most of the practicing with the other teacher. DH is still down with the flu and seemed to get better during the day but went downhill from there.
I ran around doing errands and chores and tried to be ready for The Christmas program.
The neighbor was very insistent about me coming over to trim the hooves of his goats-
yesterday, of all days. The kids were all coming for an early supper and I was out in the
barn for 45 minutes. I could say I was a little unhappy but that would be putting it mildly.
But the work got done, supper went off without a hitch, made it to church on time to set
up lunch and start the hot apple cider.
The program went very well. Even GS was pretty well behaved. The lunch went well
although only a few people stayed. We had enough goodies for so many more. The
extras were put into the refrigerator for Wednesday night's service.
The rest of the evening was passed watching the Survivor Finale. It was so great to see
SD's Holly come in fourth. We were pleased she made it that close to the end.
Today is another day of scrambling to stay ahead. I feel like I am in slow motion but
that may change when I get closer to caught up.
Put your motion in high gear today. The holidays are fast approaching and the opportunity
to push things off is very inviting. Be one of the 5% who have gotten it right and kept it there.
You can do it!
Hugs to all who stopped by, read and left a comment. You are an awesome group of friends.
went out the window. DH has the stomach flu so he's taking it very easy.
Today was the annual Appreciation Day when all the businessowners help serve a ham
sandwich, baked beans and chips lunch as a thank you to all the customers. I worked
from 9:45 until noon, then had lunch with DD and family. I had so many errands to
run, chores to do for DH and trying to clean house.
I made chicken noodle soup for supper. He did try to eat but he has gone to bed now.
We'll see what tomorrow brings.
I am wrapping up early and hoping everyone feels better tomorrow. We all need to be
healthy for Christmas.
Thanks for reading and commenting. Enjoy your Sunday-HUGS!
Everything seems to wait for 5 pm on Friday. All the little things add up and then bang, it all needs to be done. I was scrambling around trying to tie up loose ends so I could have the
weekend free. There is a conspiracy afoot LOL! But, thankfully, all is well and I can rest
easy tonight. Tomorrow may be another story.
I have a very special person who joined the EMT crew last month. He moved in from
another state and needed to be certified here. But since all his paperwork is in place,
he has been more than willing to take the calls. The first call, we went together so he
could get a feel for how we work. Last night, he answered almost on top of me and
took the call. I was merely backup. So I took the opportunity and let him get into the
job. Our driver said they would take as many calls as they could and they hit it off just
right. One less thing for me to worry about this busy Christmas season.
He is a really awesome guy, very laid back and a breath of fresh air. I know we will
get along just fine.
I hope your Friday was as great as mine. Focus on your goals and do the best you can.
Hugs and have a great weekend. Comments always apprecited and thanks for stopping
We went to GS's preschool Christmas program and the children were all adorable, high-spirited and full of energy! I admire the teacher in charge because she had her hands full
with 20 little ones.
All in all, a very good day!
Have a fantastic Friday and thanks for reading and commenting. HUGS!
