Well, this morning when I got up at 5am, I really did not want to get out of bed. I was feeling like I had rocks in my pants weighing me down. I did, however, get out of bed and got moving. As I was walking to the dark, in complete dark mind you, BRRRRRR!!!! a quick loud noise scares the eeebie jeebies out of me. I probably jumped ten feet in the air, and might of messed my pants (lol, jk). Well, that bit of arm hair raising, crap my pants scare, was all I needed to jumpstart adrenaline and get my blood pumpin' and I was off to the races. I ended up belting out 3.5 miles in a little under 30 minutes with ease. I had a great day on the track and have to get to bed because 5 am. will come early tmr.,! Hope you all had a terrific tuesday ;)

That phrase sums up my morning. So, I have been in a bit of a rut with exercise. I have been literally dragging myself out of bed in the morning to go. So, this morning I am up at the crack o' dawn (5:10 a.m.) and I am looking for a sports bra- the bathroom, the bedroom, oh I found one in the basement. Then lets try to find socks that fit... well, my ten year olds socks will have to do. Okay, now my one shoe is missing the insert, where did it go? I think I remember the 22 month old pulling it out of my shoe yesterday. Well, I guess I will be running without the insert. Ipod, Ipod oo where for art thou.... 10 minutes later under the couch I find it! I am out the door, it is now 5:45. I begin to jog, crackle, crackle, crackle.... the headphones are not working. Oh, the insanity! Well, I made it through a 3 mile run with a rough start, but with four kids at home just waiting to arise I am guessing this will be the easiest part of my day!

Well, it is a new week and almost a new month. I was getting a little bummed at my slow progress yesterday, I couldn't drag myself out of bed to go for my run. I then pulled myself up by my bootstraps and reminded myself slow and steady wins the race. I have lost two pounds in the last four weeks, and that is two pounds less than I weigh now. I had to give myself a mini pep talk to keep it up and it WILL pay off. So, this morning I was up early for my run again, ate my healthy breakfast, and have my big bottle of water ready to drink. This will be a good day/week!! Hope all of you have a great week also :)

Wahhhh!!! 3am morning wake up from my three month old. I slumber downstairs to make a bottle and look at the temperature on the thermometer, 87 degrees!?! at 3AM? craziness. In the back of my head I'm thinkin' this will be a hot run this morning. So, the baby is fed and I get back to sleep. Two hours later, the alarm clock goes off and when I look out there is rain, lighning, and thunder (oh my!) Guess the morning run will have to be put on hold. When it is 8AM the temperature has already dropped to 76, I'm telling you Erie Weather is Wild!
Has anyone ever heard of Jillian Michaels, "Making the Cut"? I had bought the book before I got pregnant with my third in hopes of toning up all my wobbly parts. After having two babies in 18 months, I have even more wobbly parts, lol. I was thinking about doing the book, it is a 30 eating/exercise plan. I don't think I will try the eating portion of it because the food is not kid friendly. Plus, alot of the food is pricey, if you were planning on feeding six people. I will stick to fruits and veggies and lean meat and whole wheat. I am a little nervous about doing the other part because it looks pretty intense, I'm thinking I might start it once I get to those last 10 pesky pounds I want to lose. When I start it I will let you all know what I think and my progress.
Well... the weekend is almost here and I can't wait! Have a Thrilling Thursday!

So, my hubby called me before he got home from work and had the great idea for all of us to go to Eaton Reservoir for a walk around the lake. I thought, hmmm.., that sounds like a good idea to get some extra fitness minutes for the day. We also decided to buy some subs and eat them out at the lake. Well, it took me about 30 minutes to pack up all the "essentials" for the trip (i.e.. diapers, wipes, strollers, baby carriers, extra clothes, fishing poles, etc.) and we were on our way.
Once we get there, unpacking and getting everyone situated took another 30 minutes, but we were on our way. Then it started, the baby did not want to stay in the carrier and the 22 month old did not want to stay in the jogging stroller. So, we flip flopped and my 10 year old sat in the stroller with the baby while my husband pushed it and I walked with the 22 month old. The 22 month old was determined to jump in the lake, so I tried to get him to sit on my shoulders. Next thing I knew, his shoe is MISSING! So, my husband took him and the 8 year old was pushing the 10 year old and the baby while I ran .25 of a mile back looking for the shoe and run .25 mile back to meet back up with them. Okay, so now we are ready.... then the 22 month old pees through his diaper onto my husband. So, pit stop and diaper change back to the walk. We get the 22 month old in the stroller and we are on our way and I am carrying the baby wrapped in a blanket. She starts getting heavy so I switch with my husband and take the stroller with the 22 month old. He figures out how to manipulate his way out of the straps in the stroller and is trying to jump out of the stroller. So, I ended up carrying him the rest of the 2 miles around the lake. Phew.... it only took us 2.5 hours to walk 3 miles. Do you think I burned any calories?
After our debacle, I ended up getting a GREAT night sleep and woke up bright and early this morning and went for a 3.25 mile run. It felt so good because it was nice and cool. It took me 28 minutes to run 3.25 miles this morning what took me 2.5 hours last night, lol.
