Frustration

Monday, May 13, 2013

Okay here it goes. Haven't blogged in a while on weight loss. In all honesty, I'm usually so busy with my garden blog, my garden, our camping, our LIVES that I have almost no time to actually devote to SP.
But now, I just feel I have to reach out to others cause I am STUCK.
I am stuck in the 158-160 see-saw.
Today I am 160.2 pounds. Tomorrow (I am estimating) I will be 159.5. By Thursday I will be 158.2.
By next Monday I will be at 161.1
That is my week every week.
ITS GROUND HOG DAY! But yet its not the same day over and over, its the same week over and over.

My biggest feeling on this? On the days when I am truly watching what I am eating, I'm logging it down, I'm exercising. I am not actually eating enough!
So then I don't really lose. At all.
Then switch to a day when I'm more relaxed and sometimes on those days I will break down and have a soda pop, or some chips. OR BOTH.
And I will lose a lb.
Go figure. The junk food diet.
LOL

I have been STUCK at 160 since this past winter and I cannot seem to get off this see-saw.
Unfortunately, gym workouts have not been as frequent but everyday type of workouts have become sporadic. Last Thursday I biked for 7.5 miles and loved every single second of it but finding time to do that everyday is slim to nil.
Same for 30 minutes at the gym here.
I cancelled my other, more expensive gym membership since we're getting ready to move.
Trying to save a bit of $$$.
So I guess, I am trying to vent some because I am frustrated.
I can't seem to get past 157.6!
I'm stuck.
Lately, especially I have actually REALLY been watching my food intake. Monitoring, monitoring monitoring.
And yet, even on the days when I eat really great, I hit my calorie range (1300-1500)
My calorie burn per my Body Media band is showing 2200 calories burned (which is the average when I'm at work)
I can't seem to drop the weight. GAAAHHH!

I had this happen to me many years ago. After about six months, I was able to lose the remaining 30 lbs. It's been a while, but I think I "boot camped" it for about a week, which seemed to help me break loose. Then I went back to my regular eating/exercising regime. Good luck!

I can understand your frustration but think it's pretty impressive that you maintained in that range all winter and didn't gain even with all the eating holidays. It sounds like you will have to mix things up to lose weight. Change your exercise, do some carb or calorie cycling. Good luck.

It does wisedup! Kind of gives me a bit more feedback. Mostly I use it to see how I'm sleeping but also many MANY times I think I'm working super hard and yet when I plug it in it turns out that I barely worked at all. LOL

Thanks for the comment on my post...I see we feel the same. There is a balance and it seems to change per season as well. Now just to find it.
Does the Bodymedia work for you?

well, keep at it and keep in touch!

We have a couple apple trees. I love apples and it's my goal to eat one a day.
