I've been sleeping 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. but wanting (NEEDing) to change so when I started to fall asleep while playing FarmVille I closed up and went to bed.

Lights out at 2 a.m., alarm set for 9:30 a.m.

Dang it! Awake at 4:30 a.m. and unable to fall back asleep.

Great, now I've had a nap!

AM meds? check.
Test BS? check.
Breakfast, eaten and logged? check.
Exercise? check
Test BS? check
recovery drink? check

huh, not even 8 a.m. I've got to do laundry (workout clothes) and am meeting Daughter for a workout tonight but other than that I don't have anything I must do today.

Oh! Better call Mom.

We had a busy day today. Lunch and dinner out AND the movies. I also finished a book I started today.

I woke up way too early with a growly tummy. I made a good food choice, read then went back to bed. Because we weren't sure about the lines/crowd at the movies we bought our tickets early then went to lunch. Once again I made good food choices, well as well as you can at the mall food court. The movie was just long enough that we went out to eat instead of driving home and fixing something. I might have splurged a bit here. The Veggie Barley soup had so much corn in it that I had a small cup of clam chowder instead. The Banana Nut muffin top was a "healthy choice" with Grape-Nuts instead of walnuts. sigh, so was the cranberry-orange muffin.

So not as healthy as I could have been but great in comparison to last time I was there.

Which brings me to tonight...IF I had ironed a shirt and gone to bed soon after testing and having a snack I wouldn't have had the bowl of pasta. Whole wheat pasta but still.

sigh.

I'm learning but it will take a while!

Oh, See's Candy has a great sugar-free chocolate bar. Didn't look at the fat...usually do that but I needed something after the lunch. (Chinese food without rice or noodles!)

    You know. All this food isn't necessarily that great if you eat enought of what is right for you. You can then more easily block out all of these temptations. Good luck to you. Glenn

it is official.

I am a Diabetic

Not just a warning to eat better and exercise but a check your blood sugar twice and day and here is some medication

All my "want to" goals are now "have to" goals and I've got to learn better time management. Well, maybe if I read less I could get more done and that is a goal but....

    I think you hit the nail on the head for a look of book bloggers. I know I gained most of my weight after I started book blogging, because my reading totals each year quadrupled and I spent so much less time up on my feet! I did have to cut way back on my reading to help myself...

and it shows that I'm less active than I thought! Yikes emoticon

I got it to help record my sleep but have discovered something fun. It will record levels of activity and I hit 30 minutes of "very active"! This is huge for someone who is happy to get fairly active instead of lightly active! I'm pretty sure I know how I did it too. Now to recreate it!

whew, made it to the gym today

I didn't make it Monday and was afraid I'd miss today too, I left the house at 9:30 p.m. but I made it!

I have no idea what stage I'm on or what I'm supposed to do. Thought it was better to do something then go look it up and maybe get distracted then miss going!

Ended up doing 2 miles. Ran lots of 2 minutes stretches then what I got to the 20 minute mark...I took off my shoes. I RAN. Not very fast, still working on caressing the ground instead of striking, working on form but there were no heel strikes. O.M.G. I ran for ten minutes straight!

I'm still a little confused about the whole thing, I mean really, I ran? For 10 minutes? Are you sure? WOW!

Tomorrow is Volleyball, I'll try it again on Thursday emoticon

    The difference was FABULOUS! I felt light and after struggling to go 3 minutes, 10 was an eye opener! Really excited to continue barefooting (socks in the gym), working up to 30 minutes and getting outside.

    Did it make a huge difference, the shoes being off? That did once for me, too, but I'm not allowed to anymore after the stress fracture...
