Well I am home from vacation. Sad to have left such a beautiful, stress-free place and glad to be home with my little fur faces and back to watching my weight. I did not do too bad on this vacation, only gained a few pounds, probably because I was so active walking, swimming, etc.
Can you imagine if you were on vacation all the time? Wow, what a change that would be from one's normal lifestyle eating all that rich fantastic food prepared for you loaded with all of those fats and calories. Drinking those sweet concoctions laying by the pool all day long. Sitting at the slot machines, yet drinking again. WOW, talk about some weight gain. I think it would be virtually impossible to lose weight living a life like that.
So, even though it is sad being off vacation, home is where the heart is and I am glad to be home, that is until next vacation, which we are thinking about already (cruise to Alaska, New York is a possibility).Who knows where we will go, but for right now we are staying put, I am going to get this weight off and hopefully be at goal weight before the next vacation. I am determined to once and for all get this weight off and keep it off.

Finally, my vacation is here. Heading to tropical Bahamas for a fun-filled week. I am so, so excited for a little R&R. We have made reservations for Mesa Grill (which Bobby Flay owns) if there are any foodies out there. We are staying at the Atlantis Resort. Can you believe they have 17 different restaurants at the resort, not to mention, clubs, fitness center, massage, shopping, bars, lots of pools and casino. WOW, get exhausted just thinking about it. What a great time we are going to have. Lost plenty of weight for the trip to compensate for all the great food and drink I will be imbibing in. Will fill everyone in when I return next week. Have a fun-filled week and weekend everyone, I know I will.

Eating turkey does not cause you to feel sleepy after your Thanksgiving dinner. Carbohydrates in your Thanksgiving dinner are the likely cause of your sleepiness.
• The ballroom dance the "turkey trot" was named for the short, jerky steps that turkeys take.
• Turkey breeding has caused turkey breasts to grow so large that the turkeys fall over.
A mature turkey has about 3,500 feathers.
• Wild turkeys can run up to 25 mph and fly short distances at up to 55mph.
• 90% of American homes eat turkey on Thanksgiving.
• For their first meal on the moon, astronauts Neil Armstrong and Edwin Aldrin ate roast turkey in foil packets.
• Gobbling turkeys can be heard a mile away on a quiet day.
• Forty-five million turkeys are eaten each Thanksgiving.
• Turkeys can drown if they look up when it is raining.
• The heaviest turkey ever raised was 86 pounds.

Well yet another soggy dreary day. I stayed in my jammies all day and did absolutely nothing but relax. I think this is the first time ever that I have done this and it felt sooooo good. My husband is usually the slacker in the house. Caught up on my way behind tivos and now off to take a nice really hot shower, get back in my jammies and catch up some more tivos. I will definitely be ready for the new work week tomorrow. Had leftovers for dinner so no fuss there. Hopefully we will all wake up to a beautiful sunny day tomorrow.
