When a lot of us were checking out ore "Real Age" I signed up for newsletters and some have been interesting. Today one came where you can go to the link I will add in a minute and find out how many calories it takes to maintain whatever weight you are at now. Then you can redo it and put in weight you are aiming for. That will be amount of calories you need at that weight.So if you aim for that amount you will lose.To maintain at 274 I need 2395 calories and to maintain at 180 I need 1862. So if I am under 1800 I should lose. I do know that if I average under 2000 I lose a small amount. So if I could average under the 1800 now i would lose better. I just thought it was interesting.
Oh on the real age quiz I did horrible.It said my real age was 82. I will take it again in a few weeks and see what it says.

Ok My Food Demon whooped me soundly last night. I did good until 11 pm. Today is a new day
I have my exercises all done and even sat outside and read my book. Not a lot of sun today.Very cloudy and it even rained a little. But it is 70 degrees so that is nice.
Ok nothing else new. Bill's birthday is tomorrow so I have to figure out something to surprise him. I may have to even leave the house tomorrow.

Whew - - - - I am pooped.
I started my day off after doing just a little sparking with my exercises. I did some extra today. My new goal is to do extra as many times as I can. Then took my shower and got dressed and it was noon time. So I started doing some salad prep work for the coming days. I still had veggies that need gotten ready for varies things. But I have added new and more stuff to my lunch salad. Not a lot but more different things. So I bagged a bunch of stuff up so it is easy to take some out . I hope the carrots slices don't turn dark. Anyway. I have a bag for small pieces of broccoli,cauliflower,carrots,shredded cabbage. I have 2 different kinds of lettuce cut up in bite sizes. I have a green pepper cleaned and ready to cut a slice off. Celery is divided up and wrapped in foil. So I am all set up for salad making. I have made a huge salad the last two days and I have plenty for lunch and to snack on in afternoon. I find I eat less that way during the day.
I read somewhere that if you ate the same thing for breakfast and lunch you would lose weight better as it is all planned etc.That works for me most of the time as weekend days I do that. Breakfast is always a fruit. and lunch is soup and salad. I don't get tired of it and I can have a lot for a few calories.
After lunch I took my book and went outside to pool deck and sat in sunshine for 20 minutes.Sorry but it was beautiful.No snow.Just sunshine and light breeze and 60deg.A perfect day.
Next it was soup making time and bag other veggies up. Bill came home when I was making soup and I hope I didn't miss anything when I was counting calories. I ended up with 36 cups of soup. Which is about 18 bags as I put 2 cups per bag. The calories were on 68 a bag but I rounded it up to 75 for good measure. I put 6 in fridge and rest in freezer.
While the soup was cooling we went for a ride.We drove out to Howard Park to see the new causeway.They shut the beach down for a year to repair bridges etc.They did a nice job at the two bridges and built fishing over hangs.
They we ate out for supper. I planned for it so I am still in good shape. I had to guesstimate so I went on high side. My total breakfast and lunch was only about 350 and the only snacking I did was my leftover salad.
Then we stopped at grocery store so"Bill" could run in. I had him pick me up a bag of frozen cauliflower to add to my soup when I eat it.I was pleasantly surprised to see that 1 cup is only 25 calories.
So I am all set for soup and salads all week. He will get me more cucumbers and tomatoes later in week.
I am pulling away slowly but surely.Beat him last night and should today too.But never know til night is over.
I did enjoy watching Apollo race last night. I really wanted him to win the gold but he was a good sport about getting bronze. Quite the gentleman. I think I enjoy the winter Olympics better than summer.
And speaking of Olympics. Bill went down to Bradenton early this morning( Too early for me to make the trip) to bowl in a tournament to qualify to bowl in Senior Olympics in the fall. Not only did he qualify but he got a Bronze medal. And he didn't bowl his best but he said everyone was having trouble.

I am very happy with my weigh in today. I lost 3.5#. I have been in the same 5 # or so range for months now. This is a new low for me. The last time I weighed this was 10 years ago. When I left TOPS I got rid of everything except for my weight books. Just so I could see how I was doing. So the weighing and exercise paid off today.Now to keep it going.
I have increased my total exercises to over an hour each day.My goal is only 10 minutes so if I have a day when I don't feel well I can still feel like I did ok. I am doing between 20 minutes to 1 hr 20 minutes. All depends on how I feel and if I have a rare day away from home.
Oh I started with Spark at 320.6 and I weighed 274.5 today. I was thinking I was never going to see 275.
I also beat my food demon last night. It is looking good for today.
On my zookinesis tape for weight loss he has some tips and suggestions for weight loss. One was to add a bigger variety of stuff in my daily 2 salads that I eat. So I did. I was looking for an additional lettuce and a lady shopper helped me out as I was about to get one that wasn't good for salads. So I have 3 diff lettuces. I also added a little broccoli and cauliflower and green pepper to the mix.
Bill helped me and I got the two small orchids that Rebekah gave me potted today. I also got out my tulip bulbs from last year and they were already starting to sprout. I also put them in pots. If they do good I want to get them in the ground somewhere and not have to fool with them. I also redid just a couple of plants. I have one large orchid that I got a few years ago and I saw it has 4 big stalks coming. It is a different kind from my ones I usually show you. So I feel like I actually got something accomplished. There is more work that needs done on patio. I wish I could just do it myself but I have to wait til someone will help me. I hate being so helpless about things I could do myself before My heart turned against me. But I just do what I can.
The weather is awesome. Sunny and warm. This is the way Florida is suppose to be. I hope you are all having a good day. I am tired so I think I am going to go take a short nap.
I did really good yesterday and was at low end of range. We ate out for lunch today but plan on keeping calories down for supper so I should be ok.

It has been a good day so far. I didn't get up til late so I am trying to play catch up. We are having grilled veggies and steamed green beans for supper and I don't have them ready like I usually do. So I have more prep time to do tonight.

I got all my exercises done.I have been doing more since I got my new zookinesis tape. I do all of it plus my others so I am doing over an hour every day. Plus I do light weights 3 times a week.
I am so convinced of the health benefits of zookinesis I just joined another team just so I could pass on the info on it. But I have always believed that many oriental forms of exercise are great. I love tai chi and this is a form of it. I think I posted this before but in case I didn't here is link to Bob Kleins web site.

Bill is using his total gym every night but only for 10 minutes. Really not fair.He works out for 10 minutes and gives up regular soda and loses. Men are so lucky when it comes to weight loss. Oh well. It is what it is.
I did make an appointment for yearly with gynecologist. I am a little late but getting my ICD changed out caused me to get behind. I mainly need the mammogram as I did have to get a 2nd opinion last year. They don't do the pap smears every year now for older women.Especially if there has never been a problem. But I have always kept up with yearlys even when I was as poor as you can be. It does save lives. There is no reason not to get the checks.If you have to go to a free clinic you go.
Ok My green beans and other veggies are waiting for me to get them ready to cook.
