Well I pretty much took it easy today.Angel and Brianna came for the weekly cleaning and Angel did a lot of extra stuff as house will be full on the 27th.This back room doesn't get done much so she spiffed it up some.We will have around 35+ in this small house.
My Christmas cactus had more blooms today and should be full soon. Will post another pic when it blooms all out.
Bill's Christmas present came today. He is waiting til after Christmas to put it up.I called him and told him his coat rack had come. For those of you that didn't know I got him the total gym set that Chuck Norris advertizes.
I can't think of anything to talk about.Oh Angels friends baby that she takes care of on Wednesday nights finally made friends with me.It could have been the yellow rice I was giving her. She actually sat between my legs in recliner with me playing with a medicine bottle I gave her to play with. When her mother called Angel told her she was sitting in my lap. She normally won't sit in anyones lap.Her mother told Angel that Haven was probably too scared to move.I said Whatever works. LOL
I am not on speaking terms with Havens mother for reasons too long to explain. But baby is here every week and it has taken her a long time to come near me. She is a sweet baby just very spoiled.
Well I am still doing ok with eating. Not real great but better every day.

Coat Rack - now that is funny. Glad the girls were able to help you get ready for the 27th. I can not even imagine that many people at one time.

We are going to Brunch on the 25th at Lula Belles in Hannibal and then our family gathering will be on Saturday at my Dad's and Sisters in Hannibal.

I can't wait to see the photos of the blooming cactus. I have three orchids that have new buds on them.

Take care and have a Terrific Thursday.

I forgot to tell you that Landon is darling. And that hairy face would be scary if your weren't used to it. They are so precious at that age...and if they are your grandchildren, at any age.
You are indeed a brave woman to have 35 at your house! Please tell me you aren't doing all the cooking!
We will just have the 6 of us, LaRee(dd) her husband and two boys(men really!). And Ted and I. That will be enough, I just can't seem to get in the spirit this year.
Glad you have help with the house work. That is a big job taken off your shoulders.
Don't have a Christmas Cactus this year. Mine died in the spring (my fault) and I didn't replace it. However, my Euphorbia has 6 clusters of blooms. Has done wonderful since I brought it in the house. Though it did bloom all summer outside.
Bed time. Hope you have a good one.

You are definitely having a houseful. I sure hope you have more help than just you and Bill. We are going to be very small this year. Things are in turmoil with kids and won't be here...its a long story. Kind of sad but we will fill our time with giving and volunteering.

35 people! I don't think I could get 35 people in my house. I'm watching for the picture of the cactus. What fun it must be to watch the blooms grow every day. Oh, by the way, I was in Walgreens yesterday and guess what I found -- a gingerbread house kit! I noticed it as I was walking past an aisle. I'm in that Walgreens two or three times a week to pick up one thing or another. I'd never noticed before. Thanks for telling me about the kits.

35 people over? WOW!! I'm thankful to have a quiet Christmas this year. Jason and the kids are going to his parents house Christmas Eve evening and then to his mom's house Sunday the 27th for another family get together. Other than that, it's just us. I'm looking forward to it. Christmas came up so fast!

At least the little one wasn't screaming this time! Why wouldn't she love you??? You're the best!

Last night was not too good.Left leg hurt so bad I had to put an ice pack on it during the night. But slept late.Knee is still hurting.Bill has a bum foot so we are both a mess emoticon
We got several things done after supper. Now we are both resting.Trying to get this done before NCIS comes on.
Angel and Brianna are going to do some extra stuff tomorrow for our family party.
Bill picked up some Christmas cards for next year.He found them on sale. We have our Christmas stuff almost done as far as gifts. Will make a short trip to Walmart for some odds and ends.
I am doing better with eating. Not as good as I would like but much better. I wanted to be much lower on weight when I see heart doc on Thursday but it didn't happen.
Here are a couple pictures of our youngest grandson Landon.

Just going to be a quick blog as Bill and I have some wrapping to do. We planned to get all the married kids & spouses $20 and unmarried Kids $30. Bill thought it would be fun to give them rolled quarters. So we are wrapping wrapped quarters tonight.
I am doing much better with my eating and even sleeping slightly better
Here is the little tree I got last week with the red ornaments Bill picked up for me.I have to attached them with ribbon or something as if you look at it some fall off emoticon

And here is one of my Christmas cactus just starting ti bloom. I took half of this and repotted it back in the spring. It is still huge.
By next week it will be full of blooms.

Ok dear friends I have to go.Thanks for all your support. You keep me from giving up.

Hey Eleni, that is a lovely tree.. The Christmas cactus is beautiful.. I have one and it's blooming now too.. I just love the way the petals look.. Mine is the same color as yours..

The quarters are a great idea for presents.. Lets them buy what they want or need.. I wouldn't have been that creative.. much better than a gift card, especially since it's something they can unwrap..

Hope you're having a good week..

Sure is cold here in Texas..
Hugs, Pat

I love it! Your house turned out great! I haven't done the house yet with the kids. We've been so busy. I was ready this weekend but my son wasn't home. He would've been upset if we did it without him. It has to get done this week or weekend.

Busy Saturday

Saturday, December 12, 2009

Whew I had a very busy day for me. I got so much done today. Much more than usual. I had a hugh mess in utility room that needed straighten out and stored and I got it all done.Amazing what you can do while sitting on a stool.
Then I got laundry done and even cleared off laundry table.Thats a biggie.
Then I made a hugh pot of soup. I ended up with 36 cups of soup. Even got my mess cleaned up and I make a big mess when I fix the soup. Plus got a few other things done.My hiney is dragging. I really hate to dirty kitchen to make supper.
I stayed in my calorie range yesterday and am looking to do it again today.
I did have a gain of 3# which is good since 2 days ago I weighted 14 more #.Thats how much fluid I was dealing with. And part of 3# left is also fluid. Just something I have to deal with.I also have to be sure and take extra potassium when I lose that much fluid that quick.
Our weather has turned and it has warmed up enough that I had to turn the AC on. emoticon
Here are a couple of pics that Bill took.He did a good job this time and got some good ones.
I think these two are doing the hanky panky
