I can hardly believe that I have beat the Food Demon for 2 weeks. It is getting harder. The new supply of tomatoes that hubby brought home saved me again. Plus saving half my salad from supper.I still need to decrease how much I eat at night. I know I will never be able to not eat at night but I can eat less. I have to really plan and count everything but it is worth it.Scale seems slow for how good I am doing but it may still show a good drop by Sat. I will be happy with a steady 1 or 2 pounds each week.
I am still working on getting some exercise going but have been on lazy side so far.Except for lifting the weights that sit by my recliner.I do use them off and on during the day.
I am getting a few butterfies every day.Another new one stopped by this morning. I didn't get camera ready fast enough. I know this guy was new as he looked a little larger and was a very pale light yellow.
I have 2 small tomatoes on one of my plants. But I also have leaf miner everywhere.Bill sprayed for it but we get rain every afternoon now.I went out and cut off as many leaves as I could.This will most likely be last time for me to try veggies.I will stick with flower plants which I have better luck.
I am on the more tired than usual side today.May take an early nap today
Ok I am hungry so I am going to go have my soup and 1/2 flatbread tuna sandwich.
The pocket size scale came today. Bill says he will not eat out with me. But he will.He always grumbles a little and then does whatever I want. But if you travel a lot and need to weigh your food but don't want to pack your kitchen scale this might work for you. It is 3"X4.5"X 7/8'. It is a little bit bigger than the palm of my hand.
The lid serves as a tray. I don't know if I will use it or not but that was the plan when I ordered it.
Hubby came by for lunch and brought subway sandwich.The sandwich was fine but he also brought me a small bag of baked chips. I am going to have to tell him no more chips unless I ask. It was 140 cal for chips and I could have had 2 cups of my soup for 110 cals.
I was in my calorie range again.I am still amazed I have been doing so good. It does take a lot of planning and thinking ahead.
i have to work better at the exercise. That is still lacking.
I am now getting a few butterflies every day.Instead of flying past the window they now stop at the plants.For now it is just 1 at a time. It will be kewl when I get more at a time.
I guess that is it for now. I think I need to move some barbells out here next to computer.In fact I think I will do that. Have a great day
I have to work on going to bed earlier.It was almost 2am before I went to bed. I hate going to bed because I know I am going to have pain off and on all night. I am always hurting but this is worse.My arm or arms will go dumb and then they hurt so bad until I get numbness out but sitting up or getting up. I got my best sleep from 8am to 10 pm this morning.Bill insists it is my side of bed and he could be right.Maybe we will look at new beds this weekend.
Yesterday was a good day.I canít believe I beat the Food Demon again.
I was in the middle of my range and I would rather be closer to low side but I was still way within my range. I have never done this good. But I am working at it. And I couldnít do it without all the help I get from you guys.
I have come up with a plan that I hope will work for me.
1.Stay under my high side of calorie range
2. Weigh or measure and count calories for every single thing I eat.
And to achieve the above I will do the following in addition to counting all calories.
1. I will go back to using my chop sticks
2. I will use a baby spoon for stuff like yogurt
3. I will count to 20 between each bite.
4. Take a minimum of 20 minutes to eat a meal.
5. I will do some kind of exercise each day even if it is just a small amount.
6. I will continue to look for foods high in volume and low in calories.
Got any more ideas for me??

I went into the pool and swam 10 laps. I couldnít believe I went in with the temp so low in pool. 82 is real low for me. I guess because the outside air was 90. I was very surprised to see a tiny tomato on one of the new tomato bushes. Maybe we have learned from our 1st try. I am not sure if I will attempt veggies again.We may end up getting more butterfly plants and sit them outside my window.
The 1000 points I got were for Goodie points which can be used to buy goodies but donít show up as spark points.And as shocking as it was to be I got it again today. SO I will be sending out a bunch of goodies
My large Orchid is full of blooms.Here are a few pictures of just some of buds that will bloom. There are probably 10 bud limbs on this plant. I never dreamed it would get so large.

Finally.I have been trying and trying to get this started. Every time I tried I would have to log in and then I was un logged.UGH.
I was so excited when I spun the wheel today and won 1000 points.When I saw it on the wheel my first thought was I never win those big ones.But I did.But it isn't showing I won it so I sent a message to techs. SO spark has been very ornery this morning.
I did well yesterday. I was struggling last night to keep from going over and it was close but I won. Don't want it to be that tight a race today.
Yesterday was good.Bill did play a game with me.We have had this game since 1985
And I won as usual .On rare occasions he will win but I win most of the time.He thought he had me when I had to skip a turn and get 5 new tiles.I never do that.But I came back at the end and beat him.
Well I am going to try to get some kind of exercises done today.Have gotten out of habit of doing them except for hand weights.I keep hand weights by my chair and I do use them randomly during the day.

This was 2 cups of my homemade soup and a roast beef wrap made with 1/2 piece of flatbread or wrap bread. The extra tomato and a small piece of cucumber I just sliced up on the side. I used 1/2 teaspoon of mustard on bread. In addition I got my chop sticks out.I have not been using them like I was but I will from now on.I also made the meal last 20 minutes. I would take a bite and then counted to 20 before I would take another bite.But I stretched it out to the 20 minutes. I also made an effort to chew each bite longer. So that was one challenge I met and won. And this is war.Me against the food demon and I want to win.So I have to work and plan or I will not succeed. We are having pizza tonight so I am planning on it by keeping calories as low as I can during the day without going hungry. I have plenty of tomatoes & cucumbers for later if I need them.
Bill was suppose to bowl in a tournament today but when he got there it was cancelled.Not enough people showed up. So he just played a few games with someone that was there.
My purple butterfly plant is blooming like crazy.It is full of flowers every morning but they blow off by afternoon
