Wednesday. Didn't forget today

Wednesday, July 22, 2009

I don't know why I forgot to blog yesterday.Maybe because I kept waiting for inspiration and it never came.
It is a beautiful sunny day. Nothing much going on.I am a little droopy but that's not new.
Will share a few plant pictures.
Here is my pepper plant finally getting some small peppers. It is full of them.I will have a lot of they continue to grow
This is my pot of sunflowers and desert roses rooting. The stick looking things are the sunflowers. You will be amased how soon those sticks will have leaves on them
I guess that's it for today. It is a very quiet day.I will try to get another video blog done soon.Have a great day.

Sample of mexican sunflower. It will grow into a tree if you don't trim it back once a year
And can get out of hand if you let it go like Angel did. This is the side of Angels house. The rest of this is around the corner and is at least twice this size if not more.

I've been wanting to do a video blog but haven't done it. Laziness I guess. Hopefully I'll get to one soon.

I love green peppers. YUM!! The sticks (sunflowers) look like bamboo. I had no idea they grew from a stick. I learn so much from you!!

Monday

Monday, July 20, 2009

Well I was hoping that something interesting would happen but it's not happening.
Unless you call my oldest daughter calling and crying and all upset for me to calm down. But I did calm her down and gave as good advice as I had to give.Whether she does it or not is up to her. I guess I do have a talent for remaining clam no matter how I am feeling when they come for Momma to do miracles. Which I can't but as I always say. It's my job as long as I have a breath left. She as clam when she hung up.How long it lasts I don't know.
I did get some Mexican sunflowers in soil to root along with some desert roses. The sunflowers are easy but not sure about desert rose.
The stupid pool cleaner turned over on it's side and was spraying chlorine water all over my good plants. I was not a happy camper. I watered all plants tons to try to clear out the soil.I will know if it works in a few days.Bill is picking up a new cleaner today on way home.
I do have several tiny peppers on my pepper plant and it looks like about 10 okra that will make it on okra plant. So that made me feel better.
Ok Bill will soon be home. Have a great evening

That sounds so familiar. Mamas are miracle workers. I know I thought mine was and I try to do that with my girls. You are the miracle worker for your girls.

Sure hope your plants survive. You certainly have beautiful ones.

it is very good your girls talk with mother. It is different with boys. I wish I do have girl to talk to. My elder son talks with us, but younger one does not.

I hope your plants will be OK.

Like you I will always be here for my girls and my grandchildren. They are my greatest accomplishment in a very full life. A woman told me once this story about her teenage sons... her and hubby went away one night and came home to find a motorcycle in pieces in her kitchen! The incident left a horrible grease stain on her kitchen floor, she was never able to get out. Many years later for christmas her sons decided to put a new floor in. She told me when it was all done and she had that shiney new foor, She wanted the grease stained one back. I have never forgotten that story.

Don't forget to do something nice for yourself!!

I miss having a mom to go to for miracles. It's tough not having my mom to go to talk. I'm glad you and have such a good relationship with your girls. I hope everything works out for your daughter.

I hope your plants are OK too! That's awful!!!

Sunday, July 19, 2009

As some of you that follow my blogs know I have been watching this plant for many weeks. The last time I decided it was not going to do any blooming. Here it is on 6-18 and I thought this was it
Bill suggested we go look today.I only went to make him happy as I was expecting the long stalk to be fallen down.Surprise on me. It is going to have some big blooms after all. This is today.
So it looks like I will be continuing to watch this thing. I have been watching it since the end of May.
Hope you have all had a great weekend

Just got back from grocery store and found something new. It has gotten hard to find something g new in my store. But today I found a brown pepper. First one I have ever seen. It doesn't taste as good as a yellow pepper but better than green.
I know you are tired of the blue jays but I think they are so kewl. I don't know what this guy has in his mouth or why he is all fluffed up for.
Ok nothing new,The black clouds have rolled in and we are about to have a bad storm.Wind has picked up,it is dark and it is thundering,Looks nasty and creepy out there.

Nice picture of the blue jay! I never get tired of your photos.

We don't see the blue jays very often here. Lots of white wing doves, though. They have moved into town and there seems to be more dove than pigeons for the last few years. I love to wake to their cooing.

Never saw brown pepper! Looks good. I love to put Veg in different colors. Different colors have different vitamins and minerals.
Love your bird. You have very interesting birds. I love to see them.
Today DH&I were in photo walk in BBG. I got a few good shots of insets. I wish I got bird but I think I have to go to Bronx Zoo.
Happy weekend. NS

I've never seen a brown pepper but will surely check for one. My DD goes to Whole Foods some and I asked her to check there. Thanks for letting us know.

I never tire of seeing your birdies.

Thanks for the info on the brown pepper! Never ever heard of them or have seen them. The blue jay is probably holding another birds treasure. You're very nice to love them....in our yard they bother all my little birds in their bird houses!

They're pretty. I admit. But they're bullies to my little sparrows, wrens and finches!
