Rambling

Thursday, June 25, 2009

Well I am in a rambling mood today.
I just saw something that made me be thankful for my life even with all the crap that is going on now. After getting my hair cut I was on my way to pick up Bill for a late lunch. We have a lot of panhandlers that stake out certain red lights. I never give them anything because I seldom have any cash and most are not legit.Well one got me today. It was one woman pushing another woman in a wheelchair. The woman in the wheelchair had no legs from just above the knee. Remember it is brutally hot here. There was no way I couldn't give them something.Only all I had was $7.They were so gracious when I gave it to them. Then after we had lunch I went back that way and gave them $20. I didn't care if they were legit or not. They had to be in need to be out in that awful sun. Bill is always telling me if we ever won the lottery he would have to watch me or I would give it all away. But I don't have to get out on side of road and beg for help.
I have to go get a chest x-ray tomorrow because of wheezing. I know what it is. It is fluid.Nothing new there.
I went out to check the spanish dagger plant and it just isn't going to have blooms.Just squiggly looking stuff. But here is my last pic of it with it's guard
Another bright side is I did see a few birds out back today so maybe they will all return.
Ok It is nap time.I have to pick Bill up after work.Did I mention that his car died yesterday so we have to find another cheap one.

You're such a sweetie! I'm sure the women were appreciative. I don't see too many homeless people around here. When I went to Washington, DC when I was about 14 I was shocked to see them all over. When the kids have food drives at school I always go out and buy lots of food because I know it's going to people who aren't as fortunate as us.

Interesting bloom on that plant. I'm a little disappointed that it didn't get flowers. I've been looking forward to seeing flowers. Oh well. The birds are pretty. You live in such a beautiful place!

Good luck car shopping. With the economy I'm sure you can find a deal.

That is. You just could not pass these two people. I do not know is that good or it is bad. Sometimes I do give to people like that. More often I do not.

In my country it was custom to give to people food or candies to kids in memory of loved ones. I do not know why do we have this custom, but I do have dreams sometimes that my friends or relatives ask me for gift. So I do it. But in situation like that I am very concern every time is that right? Is it really person in need and there is no another way or it is just plays around our kindness and sensitivity? I do not know.

What I do know for sure that it is not for them it is for me. I need it, I need to give.
I think that why you do give them the $. Bill is right, he understands, he better to watch you. He understand that you need to give. He is very good man.

Hope he will find a car. It is difficult now. My boy is looking and cannot find one. Because recession people do not sell.
Best. Nice blog. Thank you

That was really nice of you to give them the $

The dagger plants looks like a pine tree in the distances if you don't scoll pass the last few branches. And what a bonus today with the bird standing there. We have birds that look something like this but they are a dirty gray.

Hope they can get the fluid under control and good luck on the car hunt.

Have a great weekend coming up. Oh. and I did have a nice time at the game this afternoon. It started at noon and was over about 2:30. So I got to work on my tan a little. I tan easy and it winters over well too. So I always have a tan all year long. Another game tomorrow so hope there is another nice breeze like there was today.

Bye for now

I would have given them the money too, Eleni. God saw what you did for them and he will bless you.

Take care and have a great day tomorrow.

Loved the photos as usual. Hugs, Sunny

I saw this little guy yesterday. He is just a baby. I thought he was going to eat my okra but didn't.Just wondered around.
I just lost a whole folder of pictures. Some are on a back up but some weren't.I have no idea what happened.
It is super hot here. Lots of warnings about the heat on TV.

I'd freak if I saw a lizard like that in my yard!! I tell my husband if it doesn't have fur I don't like it. I get the heeby geebys.

I've lost photos before. I actually lost all my vacation photos one year. Just recently I lost a ton of pictures I took at my son's ball game. I was just being stupid that day.

I can only imagine how hit it is by you. It's 90 or so here. It's so thick outside I can't breathe. My son and husband are at ball practice right now. I stayed home because I have a horrible sore throat and I haven't been drinking. I'd drop like a fly out there.

Stay cool and drink plenty of fluids, that goes for Bill as well!!

Wow - sorry you lost your photos. Hopefully they will show up.

Much cooler day here today and no forcast for storms.

Keep watching for the birds. Maybe it would help to hang a couple of
feeders in the tree.

Love you photo today. You are a great photographer. What kind of a
camera do you use?

Take care of yourself and Bill.

Hugs, Sunny

BTW - my twin sister joined spark today and I helped her set up her page.
It is Shar401. Can you stop by her page and say hi to her? I would appreciate it.

So sorry you lost your pics, I do so enjoy your garden photos....it is also super hot here in South Texas! I'm staying indoors as much as possible , tho I do my walking at 6:30 am when it is still a little cool out.
For the past 2 days I have seen ladybugs in my van when I leave for work. I have been leaving the windows open a bit. Great way to start my day, with a ladybug on my steering wheel!

I think that little critter would be more interested in finding a few tiny bugs on your okra, but he's not a vegetarian. I do hope your birds return. I have a robin who visits my fence daily and I believe has a nest in the tree behind me.

The okra is so cute!! That's a cool picture of the bug. Is that a dragon fly? It almost looks plastic.

It just looks hot by you. Today was at least 90! I wouldn't know it though in the office. It was so cold in there today I had to put on my fleece jacket. Insane!

Need to get this done as day is slipping by. Sorry I have been such a poop head as Bill calls it.I will try to do better. You are some smart gals to pick up on it real quick.
The tree people are suppose to be here for sure today.I figure if I lay down for a nap they will show up.LOL
Had to go give my son a ride to pick his car up at repair shop.It was good to see him doing much better. He looked better and sounded better. I also got a good laugh at my grandsons hair cut.I am always teasing him about hair bows but can't do that now. Here is Ben Jr with summer cut. He was so cute I couldn't help but smile.
Once I got Ben we went to Angels as I had a care package for her.You Mom's all know what that is.Dug out some frozen soup and other things easy to fix.Her boyfriend is there to help over the weekend. I teased him about taking her for a weekend with kids on river and now she can't walk.He wasn't to sure if I was teasing or not.Let him wonder.LOL
Angel looks tired and like she has lost some weight but she will make it.She is tough like her Mom.
I couldn't believe how big the sunflower plant is that I gave her.I will show you a front and back view of it.It started out as a couple of cuttings maybe 1 foot high
Here is front
And this is back view of same plant or tree that it has become These things grow like crazy. This is what sunflower looks like
Bill is in Orlando but will be home around 4 or so.
Nothing new going on. Same as usual. It does seem to be hotter sooner this year. The heat is unbearable.
Have a great weekend. emoticon emoticon

WOW, that sunflower bush is huge!! Do you just trim it down?

My Alex wanted to get a hair cut like your grandson's. I'm not so sure it's going to happen. We'll see how much of a fit he pitches!

Our weather has been cooler than normal for this time of year. We had the horrible storms that came through on Friday and it brought HOT weather. Yesterday was my daughter's party and it was 90 degrees outside and the humidity was 62%. It was nasty! Thank goodness for air conditioning!

I hope you're feeling better and Angel gets back on her feet soon!

WOW! I did not know how sunflower looks like. In my dictionary it is different flower, it is flower we use to get oil. The bush is huge. What are going to do with it next Summer.

I like the hear cut. It is really cute. When my sons were boys I sent them to hear cut. They just got from Summer camp and their hear were long. When they got back I saw young boy and did not see older one. Where is your brother? Then I saw older boy. Bold. No hear at all. Just bold. When he left home his curly hear touched his back. Now he was bold.

Kids are cute.Your boy is very sweet. This hear cut is good for him. I love it.

The sunflower bush looks great. It is a perennial - right?

Good to hear that Angel has some help.

Your grandson looks great in that new cut. It must be the thing. When I was in ER yesterday with our Grandson, I saw another boy with a mohawk cut.

Take care and enjoy your day. It is quiet around here today after the severe weather we had yesterday. Most of the damage occurred across the river in Illinois. I was in Quincy this morning and there are downed trees everywhere.
