Hubby in hospital

Thursday, June 11, 2009

Just a note to let you know I will catch up with everyone later today.I had to take Bill to the hospital early yesterday and luckily it was dehydration.Which is very serious in itself. Also a big problem here in Forida. But heart doc kept him overnight just to be sure.I am waiting for call to go get him now.I was there til 8 last night and was too tired to even go near computer. But he is fine.Once he got some fluids he was much better. Too feisty. He is a horrible patient. But all is well.I am just tired but comes with territory. Now I can go back to just worrying about Angel.Later

I am so glad to hear that he is doing fine. Take care of him, and force those liquids down him. Those 8 glasses a day are what he needs. Take care of yourself as well.

I'm glad he's better and able to come home! I got a snicker when you called him feisty. You two are two peas in a pod. emoticon

I hope he takes care of himself and drinks plenty of fluids.

Blooming Tuesday

Tuesday, June 09, 2009

Went outside to see what I could find and didn't find much. Here is my last desert rose that is blooming for first time.It looks like it is another red one but won't know for sure for a couple of days.So far I have 2 bright fuscia,2 solid red,1 white with pink edges
Here is a small rose bud and new leaves. My roses are doing better than they ever have.I only have 3 and several weeks ago they were almost dead. Bill was taking care of them for me.Now they are fuller and lots of new leaves
And here is a fat visitor
I did better with my eating yesterday but far from where I need to be.But it is a start. Hopefully each day I can do better.
Soon I will get back to my chair exercises and back in pool in a week or so. I did find out I have to wait 2 months before I can get the mammogram and ultra sound I was suppose to get this month.
It is a beautiful sunny day outside. Unfortunately because of heart I can't be out in heat much.I may go sit on deck for 5 minutes later just for the sunlight.

Just got back from getting the staples out and from having lunch with my favorite man.
I can now take a full shower which is great. The area does have a lot of tissue swelling that will take a couple of months to go all the way down. The ICD will show some as it did with the other one but not this much.
Angel finally went and got her leg checked and she has torn something in her knee. They don't think she will need any surgery but she has to wear a brace and stay of it. They are staying where they are for another day and then will have someone help to get her truck home.Brianna is just a new learner at driving so she can't do it.I told her if someone helped get them a little closer Bill and I would come and he could drive her truck. I have a no respect for her boyfriend as he is taking good care of her.Even took it well when I told them they were both dumb sh-ts for waiting to get it checked. But she should be ok if she stays off it.
Had a nice lunch with hubby. We always enjoy being together no matter what we are doing.
I am trying to get back to watching what I eat and track calories etc.I have just not really been trying much lately. But hopefully my attitude adjustment I gave myself will help.Losing weight is 100% attitude. Most of us know exactly what we need to do to lose but if our head is not right we can not succeed. So I am working on getting myself back on track.
I don't have a new pic for today so I will look for something interesting I have.
This is me with my oldest daughter Joy.

Good to hear that Angel had her knee checked out. Better to take care of it while she can rather than continue to injure it and have to have surgery.

Your daughter, Joy is very lovely. She looks like you.

This is a very pretty picture of you & your oldest! Glad you are able to take a shower - it was getting stinky in here (lol).
You know I am joking with you.
Writing down each food really does help. However, I still have to get on web and input food. It is hard to know what to fix, etc. I am a very picky eater.
So, how are you feeling this week?? I pray you are doing better.

You have plenty of attitude so I know you can do this!!! emoticon I need an attitude adjustment myself! I made a new recipe for dinner and it was so icky I spit it out of my mouth. Cookies sound good for dinner. I need to go shopping so there's not much to choose from that's healthy.

Angel really did a number on her leg huh? She's lucky she doesn't have to have surgery for now. I hope she can stay off it like she's supposed to.

I can't think of anything to write about but know some people worry when I don't. I have been just sitting on my butt watching TV,reading and eating. Mmmmm Thats what I do everyday. I did get a call from Angel letting me now she banged her leg up bad trying to get out off a boat onto a dock. They went up to north Florida to go on a river there. Now she is stressing out about how to get her truck home.I told her "again" her first priority is to get leg checked. She should have gone last night or first thing this morning. She didn't want to spoil the weekend for the rest of them so she has been in the room by herself all day while everyone plays. Stupid Stupid.
Just saw the hawk fly into and then out of bamboo tree.Looked like a good sized one.
I go tomorrow and get staples out. Ok Now I will see what kind of picture I can come up with for today. It will have to be an old one this time
I may have put this one on before. Yep that is me.

Sorry to hear about Angel. Hope you have a great day. We are leaving soon to head home to Missouri.

Dang, you're a wild child!!! I'm terrified of heights so I won't do anything like that. It took everything I had to go on roller coasters. I'm so afraid of heights I have problems going on water slides. I have problems breathing, I shake, and get sweaty. I'm a big baby!! emoticon

I hope Angel is OK. Depending on how bad it is, I would've done the same thing. I fractured my ankle leaving the house when Alex was a baby. I knew something was wrong because I could hardly put any weight on it. I worked all day and could barely drive home but I made it. When I took off my shoe and Jason saw it he made me go to the clinic. I'm sure I made it worse by not going right away but I'm like that.

I hope all goes well tomorrow with the staple removal. It sounds so painful!

Today was my big outing day. Grocery day. emoticon But It got me out of house and we had lunch together first. We couldn't help but joke about my ICD.I looked like I had one perky boob and one hanging boob. The swelling will take awhile to go down.I hope it does as the device is not suppose to be this big.
I am always amazed at how much we spend on groceries. Also am thankful that we are able to also. Out of curiosity I decided to see how much I spent on fruit and veggies. It was $49.85 just in produce department. We did buy meat this week as a lot of 2 for 1's. I have groceries put up and meat is wrapped and in freezer.Veggies are all taken care of too.
After we rested a few minutes Bill helped me and we put Miracle grow on all the plants. I am amazed at how fast the little strawberry plants are sprouting green.
One of my plants that Springhill replaced already has a small flower on it.It is a drawf plant so flowers are small. It is called a Rudbeckia Toto and is only suppose to get 9 to12 inches tall with 4 inch blooms.
I can also see a few tiny tiny yellow peppers on pepper plant. I just read in paper that I should have started my tomato plants sooner because of Florida heat. But it also said I can plant some in Sept and they will do good. We will try to baby these and plant earlier next year.We are both learning. I did live in NC where we had a large garden that I did a lot of canning from but the ex hubby did the gardening. I just put it up for storage.
Well can't think of anything else. I was down 1# but the way my fluid is all over the place no sure where I am.I know I am way up but how much is real gain and how much is fluid is hard to say.At least it has stopped going up. Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.

I've thought about breaking down my grocery bill to see how much I spend where but am afraid to. I don't think I really want to know. The last 2 shopping outings I haven't bought as much produce and my grocery bill was anywhere from $30-$50 cheaper. I'd like to plant a garden and have my own to cut down on costs but I don't see that happening any time soon. We have so many rodents I think it could be costly just trying to keep them out.

I hope your tomato plants survive. They're the best when so fresh!! YUM!! My mouth is watering just thinking of them.

I hope your garden does well. There is nothing better than having fresh veggies and fruits from your own garden. It usually beats the price of the stores as well.

It sounds like you are feeling better; I hope that is the case at least. Take care of you! Down one pound is great.

Grocery shopping is a source of frustration for me. I too spend a lot of money in the produce section. Within a couple of weeks we should be able to get more local stuff from farmer's markets here which are better. But, I am also glad that I can afford to buy what we want from the grocery store. With so many people out of work and having hard times, we really have something to be thankful for!

Thinking of you,
