Got up very late again today. Not because I had so much sleep but because it took that long to get some sleep. Oh well It is what it is.
I did awful with my eating yesterday. It wasn't that I ate bad or unhealthy food. I just plain ate too much.
Did make a new dish that I thought of during the night before .That is what I do sometimes when not sleeping.Ideas for meals come to me.
I chopped up cabbage, added onion, sliced thin strips of carrots, chicken broth, tomato sauce.some frozen snap peas and some other frozen veggie. Then tossed in 2 pork chops and let is cook down til everything was done. When it was half way ready I decided to add some potato chunks as hubby loves potatoes. Since I did not put potatoes in at beginning I took pan off and boiled potatoes some first in a separate pan. Then added to main pan and continued to simmer til most of liquid cooked down and everything is done. Then took few leftovers later in night and added a can of chicken broth and had a soup snack. Biggest calories came from meat and potatoes. But can be made without both of them And could use canned tomatoes in place of tomato sauce.

We got our taxes mailed out today. For the first time in many many years we are getting a little back. That may never happen again.LOL

It looks beautiful outside today.Suppose to get warm.Reminded hubby when he called a few minutes ago he needs to get started on pool steps. He is going to move them and redo them so it is easier for me to go into pool.I was too sick to use pool last year but will use it this year. I also have to called and get solar panels reconnected. We had a roof leak under one and removed it.Will leave that panel off so need new piping done. I can't go in water as cool as some people can so panels let me use pool more and earlier. I am always saying if I win the lottery I will have a house with an indoor pool that I can use anytime I want. One of those fancy ones like you see in the movies. We can all dream. emoticon

Yes my dear we can all dream!! I'm like you, I like pool water like bath water. We go to Wisconsin Dells every year and stay at the waterpark hotels. They always boast about how warm their pools are. 80 degrees is NOT warm to me!

You need to make a cookbook!!

I started this day off late.I did not get up til 11.But I was op for several hours during the middle of the night. I got up earlier just to potty and take some medicine.I was tired and had no where to go and nothing important to do so I went back to bed. My sweetiie even brought me a subway sandwich for lunch or rather breakfast/lunch. So I haven't done anything but shower and get dressed.Oh I did throw a load of clothes in washer and take something out of freezer for supper.
I almost made my goal of not eating after 10 last night. I was up at 3am and ate 10 olives. Not much but it still counts. Sometimes I get so sick of saying it but this is a new day. It just seems so hopeless sometimes even tho I know it isn't. SO many of you are proof it can be done and I won't give up even if I do want to at times.
Our grand daughter Brianna that you often hear me talk about will be 16 on Friday. We think of her as our baby as she has spent more time with us than any of other grandchildren. She is getting so grown up and prettier every day. It seems just like yesterday that I was 16. The years go by so fast.

I'm dying to know what kind of olives you ate...10 olives isn't bad. Better than eating Cadbury Creme Eggs!!!

Wish Brianna a Happy Birthday!!

Your doing it.

The good news is I did not eat after 10 last night. That is only 2 days in last 2 weeks. But it is a start.
I packaged up all the jelly beans and into the freezer they went for when I just have to have something sweet. If I put them in the little freezer I won't get into them as bad.I also bagged up the pretzels too. Easier to keep track of calories that way.
Bill enjoyed his surprise. He took the leftover cake to work today to get it out of house. He brought home 2 brownies last night and I wrapped and froze mine.Out of sight out of mine.
I made some cauliflower soup with leftover cauliflower from last night. The only reason I can see for buying the yellow is that it would make a pretty platter if you were having company. They even had a purple one but I am not going to get one.
Ok I need to do some sparking

I wonder if the different colors have different nutrients...
Good for you on making your eating goals and for getting the "bad stuff" out of the house or out of sight!

Way to go with the night time eating! I'm proud of you.

Purple too? You have such exotic foods in Florida! I'm jealous!!!

OOO, I love jelly beans, especially the black ones. I know I'll be eating some of those soon. They can't be too high in calories.

Globe Puzzle put together with awful pic of me with bad haircut and no make-up.LOL
Next is the yellow and white cauliflower before and after cooking.Color stayed and both tasted the same.Yellow just cost a lot more.

And here is Bill's cake and bears
He was surprised and pleased
I gave the leftover meat loaf to kid that was doing some yard work for us tonight. He loves my cooking.

Tell Bill I said "Happy Birthday!!!" emoticon emoticon That cake looks so yummy!!!

Interesting about the cauliflower. That's a bummer. Why would one pay more just for the color? Now we all know, thank you! I can't wait to see what you try next! emoticon

I planned on watching the Oscars but I didn't and I don't know why. I don't even know what I did after we got home from dinner...I guess I was busy digesting that yummy dinner! The loaded cheese fries were yummy but most of the cheese stayed on the plate. It melted in one big glop and kept falling off the fries. The leftovers are still in the fridge calling my name.

I am late coming here and just have a few minutes.
I watched the oscars last night and it was the best one ever.It was so entertaining. So much better than any past hosts.
I made it to grocery store by myself and got stuff to surprise Bill but also got stuff for me I shouldn't have.I will go over my calories today for sure. Trip tired me out.
Ok I need to go get the meatloaf ready.
I am not reminding any kids this time. They are all grown and they should know it is Bills birthday. I know all his kids will remember but so far only my son has called Bill.
