Well my daughter is no longer mad at me. I didn't think it would last long. I told her we had to agree to disagree. That it was our job to worry about her and she couldn't fire us. Her mental state is fragile.
Just heard from my son's wife in Ohio.It is 20 degrees there.None of them are use to it. Here is Tyler. Time for pacifier to go

Now for a good Bill & Roxy story.Haven't had one in awhile.
You know how some dogs-mostly male will kick the grass with their hind legs after doing their thing. Well Roxie forgets she is a lady and sometimes lets her macho self out.
Bill is very lazy about taking her for walks but he should do better when he quits work. But he takes her once a week. Well. He took her this morning. She seems to poop a lot when she walks so he had his baggies. She was on her 3rd time and this time was a little on soft side. Why Bill was dumb enough to be standing behind her I don't know. You know what is coming. This time she decided to do the hind leg shuffle . Bill had poop from his waist to his shoes. He ended their walk and came home.He was good sport and laughed about it. I almost hurt myself laughing when he told me about it. I bet he never stands behind her again. emoticon

  Hi Eleni........
I actually laughed out loud reading your story about Roxy and Bill. With two dogs, we are constantly using our "Pooper Scooper." One day a couple of weeks ago, Ken managed to miss one of the "Land Mines" and while hurrying to get out to his truck he slipped on it and landed on his backside right in the pile. All I could hear was him using expletives all the way back to the house. He had to change and ended up late for his appointment! I couldn't help it..........I laughed so hard!!!!! Which made him even more upset........
I am glad to hear about Angel..........our kids CAN'T stay mad at us.........what would they do without us?????
Take care.

What A Day

Wednesday, November 14, 2012

Somedays I wish my only children were 4 legged. It sucks being a mother sometimes because you just can't win.But I refused to let it upset me. It always amazes me when some of my children ruin their lives by their choices and they think I did it.
When I got married at 16 my mother told me.You have made your bed so lay in it. Thats how I feel about some of my kids who are not kids but grown.I have never blamed" MY" stupidity on others.
Enough said.
I made springs rolls again tonight. The filling was great but think wrapper would have been better if they were fresh and not some I had frozen. Bill likes fried ones better but I thought these were good and will make them for myself again.

Bill and I enjoy the new quiz show Lets Ask America and I don't usually watch quiz shows.
Ok I haven't done any of my emails so need to catch up.Or I may just wait til tomorrow. emoticon

  Hi Eleni.........
Your Spring Rolls can come up to our dinner table any time!!!

As for kids not growing up and being and I should get together and write a book and become rich authors who retire in Europe where our kids will never visit..........or something like that!!!!!

Ken and I often say that we should have stuck with raising Westies instead of kids!!! We might be sane now.........

Later.......> emoticon

You can learn how to make better spring rolls for next time. Nothing like practicing makes perfect.

Eleni! I am about ready to jump right into the computer and grab some of your delicious meal!
Sometimes when adult children realize they've made a mess of their lives, instead of working at turning it around, they play the "blame game!" Thankfully none of mine have done either but I'll tell you, I wouldn't listen to any 'blame' anyhow! We mothers did our best and that's that!
Have a good day today Eleni, I'm behind and am working on catching up to blogs. Love reading them!

Brianna came today to do some cleaning for me.She is such a good girl. Wish her mother treated her better.
I gave her the throw she wanted. It is nothing fancy but she loves anything I give her and appreciates it.
I rarely make pasta but did tonight. Tried a new secret ingredient I saw on a show. The new fire fighter show.

My little orchid and plant Bill got.

Hard to believe that in only a few weeks Bill will be retired completely emoticon

Honor our Veterans

Sunday, November 11, 2012

I am very proud of my brother who did 2 tours of Vietnam and was a career Army.He retired as a Command Sgt Major. And to his son who was crucial during the 9-11 attack.Who retired as a Colonel. And Bill was on a ship during the Cuban Crisis as a builder 2nd class as a Seabee on the US Lake Champain. My oldest son William was in Army and son Ben was in Navy.
Our Vets are reason we all were able to vote and live in the best country in the world.

For smiles

My daddy was a retired Marine--WW II, Korean Conflict, Bay of Pigs (Cuban Conflict). Brother was in the Navy. Two of mama's 3 brothers were in the Army during WW II. Ashley was in the National Guard in the 70's and 80's. Yes, I am very thankful for all veterans and their sacrifices that we are free and able to vote.
