Today was quiet.
I actually felt a little better today. Even got laundry done so Bill doesn't have to do it.
We had stuffed turkey burgers and baked cauliflower and a few cubed potatoes. I stuffed the inside of burger with a little cheese and spinach.
Had an unexpected visitor tonight. Rebekah and Felicia stopped by with Abigail.
What a little stinker she is.She is so funny. She does a fake cough and laughs when someone else laughs. Can't believe she is almost 1 year old.
I did a few arm exercises today.Plan to do a few every day. better than nothing. Not back to counting calories again but am working on cutting back on amount I eat. I have gone from 1 1/2 bowls of soup to 1 bowl at lunch. Did less than the bowl today but wasn't enough so will stick with one bowl.
Tried to take a nap but neighbor was in her driveway yelling her big mouth off. I was not a happy camper.
That's about it.
OH I did work on my blogs. I started making a hard copy of my blogs to put in a book.Haven't worked on it in months. I always have trouble when i go to print it out so I can do both sides of paper. I am going to do a few each day.
Ok I am trying to watch NCIS
Hope you had a good day.

Glad to hear you had a good day Eleni!
I've found that smaller portions at meal times can work just as well as counting the calories, we know that way that we are eating less thus less calories!

I watched NCIS too, good program and I try not to miss it.

Have a nice day today!

Glad to hear you had a better day, other than your loud mouth neighbor. Some people are so insensitive.

I've been hesitant to try turkey burgers but stuffed with cheese maybe. I could eat cooked cauliflower every day. I tried hummus today and thought it was good.

  Hi Eleni.....
I am always happy to read that you have had a better day. I hope for more of them for you. Your stuffed Turkey Sandwich sounded so good that I am going to get the ingredients tomorrow when I go to the grocery store. I love Spinach and Cheese.
Little ones like Abigail are like rays of sunshine. Elizabeth makes me laugh at least once and more often more than once whenever I am with her. She has such a positive, upbeat personality. I hope that never changes.
If the noise happens often with your neighbor, it might be worth it to explain to her that you need to nap and can't when that happens. She just "Might" understand. One can always hope.
Have a good evening........wonder who will go home tonight on DWTS????

For different reasons I have decided to not do the virtual lapband thing. I will do another hypnosis session maybe to see if I can get better control on over eating.
We had sweet potatoes with our supper tonight.A nice change.
No drama with kids.Hope I don't regret saying that.
Bill and I got the plants repotted that I ordered and new hibiscus he bought. He grumbles about plants but I think he has bought more than me.
left to right
some cleone seeds,3 coneflowers,a butterfly bush and then Bill's hibiscus

The orchid I have been showing you is now completely bloomed. The little one has started to bloom and is going to have small blooms

My plumaria are starting to get leaves back.Only one has ever bloomed.I am hoping they all do this year.

I do love my big yellow hibiscus. Bill got a new color which is also a big bloom

And ofcourse some butterflies.

Watching DWTS. Still don't have one favorite. Mr sexy is in the enquirer just in his undies. Lets just say he fills them out.

I thought Gladys Knight might go home but I was glad to see it was Drew. He needs to lose the hat and he can't really dance.
Glad you decided no on the virtual surgery. But not sure why you are still going to try hypnosis again if it hasn't worked before. I tried it once for something when I was young and it didn't work. They called it "mind control" and that sounds scary to me now. LOL

  Hi Eleni.........
Our temps are going down to 30 tonight after having highs in the 70s and storm warnings yesterday. Our weather is so up and down, that I have decided NOT to plant my large boxes on the deck and my individual pots until mid to late May. That should be late enough to be safe.........we shall see.
The Enquirer huh.........I will have to check that out. He just finished his Latin Dance and earned a score of 29. I love Donald Driver but I still think the 2 to beat are the Latin Heart Throb and Kathryn from Wales. It should be interesting.
Have a good week.

I spent most of the day taking naps yesterday and didn't realize til late that I hadn't blogged.
Bill just called and he is on way home from bowling. He did better today than yesterday. He was bowling in some kind of charity games.
I cut up a piece of beef I had into chunks and baked it in my iron dutch oven pan with some veggies yesterday and it must have been good.Bill got 2 helpings which he rarely does. I had a little left over that I added to some left over soup from yesterday. Made a great soup for lunch.
Here is pic of Bill's daughter Heather at a car show

This plant wasn't suppose to keep blooming but keeps putting out a flower

This is my yellow penta and it is just starting to bloom again. It is a tiny flower that butterflies love.

I like this as it is suppose to attract humming birds. Will see

This is from seeds Patricia gave me.They are small but still blooming.

It is a beautiful day outside.Sun is bright and butterflies keep going by window. Hopefully soon I will get some new kinds. No humming birds but have fingers crossed.
Hope your weekend is going good.
It is getting time for me to take a nap.

I saw a humming bird today...need to get the feeders out.
We had high winds last night and it broke over a plant that I have been intending to get a picture of to send you. Maybe you'll know what it is. It just came up, it's about 4 feet tall and covered with little clusters of yellow flowers.
I think of mustard when I look at it, but don't know where I would have gotten it! emoticon

Nice pictures again. Bill is my hero - the best score I ever had was 221, and that was after I practiced for several months. Typically when we started a new season I would start out around 125 or 130, and get up into the 160's or 170's by the end of the season. Then start over again next year.

  Hi Eleni.......
I am glad to hear that Bill did better bowling today than yesterday. If he is anything like my Dad was, it was good for all of us when he bowled well. It really lifted his spirits. Bill has a lovely daughter. Does she live close by?

Your flowers look great. My tulips made it through the cold snap of last week but they could be challenged by our weather this afternoon. We have a severe storm watch out for our area with high winds and a chance of tornadoes. I love an all day rain with no wind and thunder and lightening.......just the rain. We really need it as the entire state is very dry.

We were supposed to go out for supper tonight with friends for a birthday celebration, but Ken is congested and has a sore throat, so we had to pass.

Enjoy the remainder of your weekend.

I'm hoping you enjoy today better than yesterday. You are such a good cook and it's great that Bill Appreciates that about you. Your garden is so beautiful and like you after days of rain the sun is out. I feel and do so much better when it's sunny as in cold weather I tend to overeat and don't feel like exercising as "Arthur" isn't my friend. Keep thinking positive and just know you are very loved by your DH, family and your Spark friend.

I made it to the grocery store today. I wasn't planning on going. My hair appointment got cancelled so since I was dressed I went out. We got my blood work done and since I am going to be a bowling widow this weekend I decided to go to grocery store.
I got several views on the virtual lapband. Interesting.
We are watching "Unconditional Love" with Kathy Bates and Rupert Everette.
It has been a quiet day as usual.
I did get some pictures of a monarch butterfly today

  Hi Eleni........
I will have to read your blog on the Virtual Lapband. I don't know how I missed it yesterday.
I spent almost the entire day finishing the curtains I started last week. I kept getting interrupted by various happenings. Today I decided that I was going to sew until the project was finished and I did. They look pretty good if I do say so myself and it's a good feeling to have them done.
I am glad to hear that you got out today. I know it always makes me feel better to see others and be out and about.
Have a good weekend. What are you reading right now? I am finishing The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and will then watch the movie.

The Virtual gastric band (VGB)

Thursday, April 12, 2012

I have been given an opportunity to try this by my hypnotist friend. I agreed if my heart doc would approve plus he has to talk to doctor that my friend works with. I am not totally sure my friend really understands my diagnosis.
Have any of you heard of this???

The Virtual gastric band (VGB) is a procedure of hypnotherapy developed to train the brain to sense that the stomach has been reduced. The sensation is similar to the actual surgical procedure where a band is placed around the top portion of the stomach creating a small pouch. This results in feeling fuller with less food consumed and significant weight reduction is achieved. The procedure is natural, safe and non-invasive
Why choose the Virtual Gastric Band procedure over the Gastric Band procedure?
The Virtual Gastric band is 100% safe
No surgery required
No recovery time (time missed from work)
No scars or complications
It works! (In trials in the UK 95% of subjects reported success with NO adverse side effects)
Increased energy with VGB

  Hi Eleni.........
I had never heard of the Virtual Band........just the surgical kind. If there are no dangers involved, it would definitely be worth a try. I would be interested to see how much it costs and how often you would have to go back for re-enforcement. Let me know what you find out. I would also be interested to see what YOUR Dr. thinks of it.

I suspect not. Hypnosist and this is a type of hypnosis has very poor results for long term weight loss. I wish you well on your journey and hope that you are successful long term. But if not, I think you should research the real weight loss surgery.

this was on in Australia on A Current Affair last year, very interesting. They followed up a while after with the results, by memory it worked on most of the people. They actually went back for a follow up and they tightened the bands a bit tighter.
So if you tpye it in on the web you may be able to find it.
As I said looked really good and interesting.
