Brianna Came to Visit

Tuesday, February 21, 2012

As most of you know my daughter Angel and grand daughter Brianna try to help with some of housework.Since Angel broke her ribs I won't let her come as she is trying to work and heal at same time.Brianna has been working a lot but tried to come some. But because of work and sore throat she hasn't been here in awhile. ( No one is allowed to come here if they have any kind of cold) She did a bunch of odds and ends stuff. Some things her mother usually does like mop kitchen. She tries to help when ever she can. None of the others have time or offer.Except for my DIL and she is always offering but she has too much on her plate .But at least she offers.
I have a beef roast in oven and it smells so good. I cooked the whole thing as half wasn't enough. So I told Bill tomorrow night was roast beef sandwiches.I am still doing good with keeping my fluid lower. It as made a noticeable difference. I think tomorrow I will take a little less diuretics and see if swelling stays are a few blooms outside my window. I actually went outside and took them instead of thru window.

This one is on same bush

This one has seen better days

This I thought was dead but now has 2 flowers

These are from the seeds my buddy pat sent me that I still haven't thinned out. They are still growing
And this guy was way on other side of neighbors yard fussing at me

Haven's mother sent me a cute little bucket with 3 Minnie Mouse cookies. She wants me to forgive her for something she did many years ago and I just don't know if I can. No lectures on forgiving people. She is only person I have felt this way about.Trust me.I have done more than my share of forgiving people.
Ok Hope you had a good day.

That bird is kinda wicked looking.
No lectures on forgiveness. You are the only one who knows the situation. It is a very hard thing to do but also very freeing. emoticon

Brianna is a sweetie!! I hope Angel is feeling better. She needs to try to rest and give her ribs a chance to heal. I know, easier said than done.

Too bad I don't live closer. I would've been at your doorstep for dinner. emoticon I stayed late at work, ate 3 small cookies on the way home, and helped my son with a science project. It took us 2 hours tonight because we couldn't get it to work. I'm not eating dinner at 8:30 at night. Oh well. I had a big lunch so my big belly will be fine.

I can't bring myself to forgive my monster-in-law. I won't get started on her either...

Have a great night!! BIG HUGS!!

  Hi Eleni.........
I can smell your beef roast all the way up here in Wisconsin. I LOVE a good beef roast. It reminds me of my grandmother and Sunday dinners at her house.

As close as you are to Brianna, it must have been difficult to be away from her for so long. You are wise to avoid exposure to cold and flu though. I must have missed the blog or blogs where you explained who Haven is. I am lost.

Your roses are beautiful.......perfect! I am curious as to whether or not your Cleome will bloom when your Spring/Summer seasons come. I have seen them bloom when they haven't been thinned, but I have never seem them grow for this long without blooming. It might be that they need the shorter growing season. You will have to let me know if and when blooms appear.

Take care. Tomorrow I have to get my hair is way over-due.

Did a lot of resting today. Am still doing great with fluid and eating is better too.
Made a batch of my special seasoning blend that I use on everything. It will last a long time. Altho i use it every day.
I used my new bread crumbs. I flatten some chicken pieces.Put a little cream cheese, cheddar cheese and little Parmesan. Then rolled it up and closed with toothpicks. Then coated in bread crumbs and baked. It was very good. The bread crumbs keep the meat nice and moist.
The weather is awesome. Florida is a good place to be in winter time.
I saw this on facebook and i liked this as it is so true.

Have a good night my friends.

Not forgiving is stinky, but sometimes, it's unavoidable.

Completely understand and have a few of my own unforgivable people that I hope never to see or speak to again.

I remember loving FL so much this time of year. My brother that lives here and his wife just went to see Mom and I wish I could have made it - we would have all been together at the same time. The rose on the other picture was such a beautiful color!

The chicken sounds delicious. Someday soon I'll have time to cook. At least today is Pancake (Shrove) Tuesday. It's not hard to make pancakes. LOL and hubby says we'll go to church tomorrow morning for Ash Wed, so tomorrow's meal should be pretty simple as well.

OOOO, the chicken recipe sounds good and easy too. I'm all about easy these days with the overtime I'm working.

The weather is pretty decent here too, however they're talking about a little snow tomorrow. I'm OK with that since we've only had about 17.5" of snow this season.

Have a great night!

Your doing very well with the water. Sounds like you have the food under control as well. Great job.
I wish our weather would warm up so my flowers would bloom. I have heather blooming and bulbs that I planted last fall popping up every where. Just waiting for the sun to shine again. Very gray and damp here.
Enjoy your night. Sandy

Pity Party is Over

Sunday, February 19, 2012

Had myself a private pity party today. But after I had a nap and a small fountain drink it is over with.
Nothing going on again today. I had been looking forward to going to grocery store but just wasn't up to it. As usual Bill got a few things wrong but I have to take what he gets.
He is going to grill me a small steak for supper.Sounds good.
Still doing good with not drinking so much fluid and eating isn't too bad either.
Well he has put stuff in fridge but need to wrap a few things so they will last longer and wash the tomatoes.Hope you are enjoying your weekend. It is 77 degrees outside and windy. Was more windy this morning as chimes were going constantly. Birds have been singing a lot the last few days too.
Well I will leave you with these 3 cartoons I took off of facebook.

  Hi Eleni........
I think that having a Pity Party now and then helps to relieve tension!!!!!! I also believe in a good cry when needed. I always feel so much better. I don't look better.........some people can cry so delicately........not me! My eyes are red and swollen and it's not pretty, but I feel better so it doesn't matter.
emoticon on less fluids. That isn't always easy.
We have snow in our forecast for tomorrow, so your 77 degrees sounds very good to me.
Tyke has the same look on his face as the owl when I hose him off after a bath......not his favorite activity!
Take care.

Not Much Going On

Saturday, February 18, 2012

Haven't done much today. Woke up early and couldn't get back to sleep. Finally got a short nap and feel better.
I did the best yet on my fluid intake yesterday. Never thought I could do it but I have. Before I was constantly drinking diet soda or water. Also still doing good with eating.
Actually I can't think of anything else to say. I am just resting and watching TV.
Hope you are having a good day. emoticon emoticon

Raining and Dreary Outside

Friday, February 17, 2012

It has turned into a very dreary day.
I finally made some fresh bread crumbs from bread in freezer. It takes some time as I cut bread into chunks and put it food chopper and then put it on cookies sheet.I then put seasoning on it and into oven it goes. When it is brown on top I take it out and mix it around and back it goes. Then I take it out one more time and back in.
Then it is back in food processor for final chop. I put it in a big baggie and wait for it to completely cool..Then I mix in some Parmesan cheese. Then I divided it into 3 quart bags and labels then with date and 1,2,3. Took some time and of course I made a big mess but it will last me forever.
Still doing good with water and food. I told Bill I would treat him to take out from a restaurant tonight. He chose Olive Garden. I picked mine by nutrition values and with one bread stick it came to 710. The salt is unbelievable . Got as low as I could. I wanted to try their new soup but calories were on high side and salt extremely high.
I will still do good on my calories as breakfast and lunch together was only around 400.
Ok Here are a couple of pics of my roses all bloomed out and big momma still has a few blooms.

Ok That's it for now

I love the salad at Olive Garden that's why I can't go. That with breadsticks is doom. I usually just use the rolling pin on my old bread after I leave it on the counter overnight to crunch. I don't get that elaborate. Sounds Happy inside the house emoticon

  Hi Eleni..........
Sounds like quite the process re: the bread crumbs, but I bet they are really good. I have yet to find purchased ones that have much taste!
Your roses are full! And, I can't believe that Big Momma is still producing blooms. Two of her shoots are still alive. I hope they make it through the winter. I volunteer with a woman who is going to bring me a powder that she swears by to help the plants to bloom profusely. We shall see........
emoticon job re: your keeping your calorie count and water consumption down. Good for YOU!
Have a great weekend.

Wow...what a process on the breadcrumbs...but homemade is delish! What do you use them in? I sometimes make homemade croutons for our salads, that is a treat. The one's that come in the box taste like cardboard. The blooms are gorgeous...I LOVE roses...just love em..but as you know orchids are MY flower since that's the last gift Josher gave me on Mother's Day. So sad about Whitney Houston...another beautiful soul stolen away from us because of very sad, she was such a phenom!

We go out with the Friday night group tonight, didn't see them last week so tonight should be fun!
