Happy Christmas eve

Saturday, December 24, 2011

Have spent the day hanging out with Bill today.You all know that is my favorite thing to do. He bugged me for days to tell him something I wanted for Christmas. Since I have gotten bad about being in my night gowns as they are comfortable I told him to get me some granny house dresses. He gave them to me today and this is only one that fit.Other2 are on tight side. So I have official become the old fat granny that wears house dresses all the time. But I will never wear them out in public like a lot of women around here do.
I never thought the day would come to this. I use to be more macho than most men.
Did have another red admiral butterfly today. Had Bill move the plants over to butterfly garden so I can get better picture if it returns Angels new boyfriend (who seems too good to be true) has a motorcycle and they rode in a toys for tops ride. At least he wears a helmut

Bill is grilling us a steak tonight and Angel is bringing us a turkey dinner tomorrow.Hope you are all enjoying this weekend

    Hey Eleni, Merry Belated Christmas.. and Happy New Year... I decided not to wait for the 1st of the year to come back to SP and start tracking, my DH got me a new food scale for Christmas.. the old one works but has a crack down the middle of the plate [probably put something to hot on it]; anyway, how have you been? Are the white hawks still up and running? I'm not sure if I've got the time to post but would like to check, see how everyone's doing?

I like your house dress, I wear loose fit all the time around the house... hate answering the door, but can't stand anything binding around my waste. emoticon

Anyway, it's good to see you ...hope you had a lovely Christmas? Take care of yourself! Lynn

    Hi Ms. Eleni,
How are you doing now that the holidays are over? I'll be looking for your New Year predictions for you and yours. We have a scare going on with my youngest brother's boy. His name is Cameron, he's 17. He has a heart arythmeia which has gotten more serious. He's played football for 10 years with no issues but now it's a problem. He's having a test in the hospital tomorrow called an EP where doctors are going in to look at what is going on with his heart. If it's 1 issue, they will do something called an ablasion and if it's multiple issues causing the problem, they will put a defibulator in. We of course are hoping for the less issue but we shall see what happens. I will let you know when I know more, have you heard of anyone this young having a defibulator? Love you and Happy New Year to you and Bill

love,
Margaret emoticon emoticon emoticon

    You look pretty in the Grammy dress, but I agree with you... great for in the house, a little too casual for the outside world! My Mom also wears them whenever she can but won't be caught dead outside. Glad Angel has a new boyfriend who wears a helmet. I always wonder about the death wish of those who ride without. Hope your Christmas day was a good one, ours was totally uneventful. The important thing is that we are all still alive and love each other.

Uneventful day but here is my favorite Christmas poem

Friday, December 23, 2011

Since I had 6 children it didn't take long for this to be memorized. It is still a sweet poem

The Night Before Christmas
By Clement Clarke Moore

Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse;
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there;
The children were nestled all snug in their beds, While visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads;
And mamma in her 'kerchief, and I in my cap, Had just settled down for a long winter's nap,
When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter, I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash, Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.
The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow Gave the lustre of mid-day to objects below,
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear, But a miniature sleigh, and eight tiny reindeer,
With a little old driver, so lively and quick, I knew in a moment it must be St. Nick.
More rapid than eagles his coursers they came, And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name;
"Now, DASHER! now, DANCER! now, PRANCER and VIXEN! On, COMET! on CUPID! on, DONNER and BLITZEN!
To the top of the porch! to the top of the wall! Now dash away! dash away! dash away all!"
As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly, When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky,
So up to the house-top the coursers they flew, With the sleigh full of toys, and St. Nicholas too.
And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof The prancing and pawing of each little hoof.
As I drew in my hand, and was turning around, Down the chimney St. Nicholas came with a bound.
He was dressed all in fur, from his head to his foot, And his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and soot;
A bundle of toys he had flung on his back, And he looked like a peddler just opening his pack.
His eyes -- how they twinkled! his dimples how merry! His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry!
His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow, And the beard of his chin was as white as the snow;
The stump of a pipe he held tight in his teeth, And the smoke it encircled his head like a wreath;
He had a broad face and a little round belly, That shook, when he laughed like a bowlful of jelly.
He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf, And I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself;
A wink of his eye and a twist of his head, Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread;
He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work, And filled all the stockings; then turned with a jerk,
And laying his finger aside of his nose, And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose;
He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle, And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.
But I heard him exclaim, ere he drove out of sight,
"HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO ALL, AND TO ALL A GOOD-NIGHT!"

Better Day

Thursday, December 22, 2011

It is always a better day when Bill is home. I mentioned I would like an egg McMuffin when he came home from his morning appointment. I haven't had one in years.It just sounded so good. Well my sweetie left and brought it and a cup of coffee before his appointment never drink coffee and was thinking I should have told him to bring me one. He read my mind LOL He takes such good care of me.
Brianna came and did her thing.She helped me with my meds. My brain has been not working so great.I made 4 weeks of my water pill bags with wrong med in it. I had her take all the wrong ones out and put right one in. Hopefully I have them all right now.
I was so far behind I could never respond to all of you.But I went back and re read all the comments.Thank you for kind words,encouragement and caring.It means so much to me.
Here are more pics. First is the flowers Bill brought me yesterday

And my cactus is loaded with buds
And some more of garden gifts
My oldest son William that gave me his Kindle and who I call Charles manson

And these are his 3 boys who are all over 6' The one in back looks shorter than he is

Angels new boyfriend

Ok I am sure your little ones are getting excited

    Hi Ms. Eleni,
I get alittle blue around this time because I still miss my mother, my father too but she was my rock. I got a card in the mail yesterday from my mother-in-law from my ex-husband. She and I were always close well anyway she sent me a daughter card and wrote on it that she could never fill my mother's shoes but she thinks she wouldn't mind. I burst out crying because I'm not the daughter anymore for her and it just stinks. I'm ok now but it really sucks that those special people are just not here anymore. You'e special to me even though we're miles apart, take care and enjoy your family.

love,
Margaret emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
