Nothing New

Haven't done much of anything today.
I am still counting calories and staying in range every day.Scale is not moving. I think that is the worse when you know it should go down and it doesn't.
We have a man coming tomorrow to inspect our roof to see if we can get cheaper insurance rate on house.It will cost me $85. If I can't get rate reduced a lot i will drop it. I own my house so I can drop it. I refuse to pay $2400 insurance on a 40 year old house
Weather is wonderful.
I am at a loss for words. Hope you had a good day. Was glad Max was voted off DWTS

Hi Eleni...... I can only weigh myself once a week, or I get too down on myself if the numbers don't go down as fast as I think they should. I am also basing weight loss on how my clothes fit as an alternate way of measuring. Works for me...... I worry a bit at the thought of you not having ANY insurance on your home.....especially with the threat of hurricanes. Have you shopped around for lesser rates? I have been wondering if Max' antics aren't pre-arranged to go for the shock-value in getting even better ratings for the show. I have come to believe that everything that happens on TV happens for a reason. He may be the "Bad Boy" with the blessing of the "Powers that be" on that show to get the interest peaked as to what will happen next?!? That mean old scale , is always what I used to say to mine , it happens though , I haven't weighed in yet sense I came back last week after a long time away, but I remember getting so frustrated the last time I tried to loose cause after awhile it just stopped moving.. But I was told that was normal that there would be times you could be stuck at the same weight for weeks at a time. that is a lot of money for insurance. We only pay $900 but have $1000 deductible. Our house is 39 years old. I thought Maks was starting to get quite an attitude and Hope was picking up on it too. I am also glad they went. Report Inappropriate Comment

I knew the pease and quiet wouldn't last long.Just got stressfull call from son.
Oh Here are some pictures of my meixcan sunflower.One of my favories.Bill hates it as it grows so fast.

Have done well with calories but right now all I want is to eat.I am going to go get some cut up peppers,cukes and tomatoes.

Hi Eleni........ I knew when I read your status statement that one of the "Kids" must have called you with a problem. I guess it's time to remind them that you are supposed to be "a NO STRESS zone". It will be my turn tomorrow, as I have to contact our youngest son about an ongoing problem. It just doesn't end!!! I love your Mexican Sunflower. I love any flower that blooms that profusely!!! Tomorrow I have my first dentist appointment with a new dentist. I really liked the dentist we have been going to for years, but she doesn't accept Humana Dental Insurance, so we had to change. I hope we like him. Must close and get ready for DWTS. I felt so sorry for JR last night. It's pretty difficult to keep up with that competition when your ankle is injured. Another Short One

Got several odds and ends done today.
I did well with eating yesterday and today is good so far. I printed up a few fat pictures and have them scattered about house. As a reminder of what I want to change.
I am counting every calorie.
Made up the invites for our Christmas party.I will make labels tomorrow and Bill can assemble them. We will do it on Dec 17.
Bill is bowling in Orlando the end of Januaryand I got our rooms. Gina will keep Roxy. She likes it there and gets very spoiled.
Here is Roxy and her boyfriend. So far they seem to like each other.He ignores her a lot.LOL.

Roxy is playing it cool.........let him know you're interested, but remain aloof......she's playing the game like a pro!!! I am really tired tonight. Soup Day Etc

It is 1:45 in the afternoon and I am pooped. I have spent hours in ktichen.
First making up some more fruit / veggie snacks in containers. It was time consuming but I am set for a few days. Just need to do a few cucumbers as they are a very low calorie snack.. Made myself a short calories sheet just for7 things I will use containers for..Still will have to do a lot of weighing etc as I prepare suff.
Next Got my huge pot of soup going.Which meant a lot of cutting and measuring. Bill brought all the cans stuff for me and the pot into kitchen for me..Once I got it all going I took 2 cups uts out for my lunch. While it was cooking I got our supper going.Using my his and her crock pots so I know exactly how many calories are in it. So I am a calories counting fool.
I did good yesterday til the last minute and I sawthe boiled eggs Bill had made. I ate 2 and it thru me over my top range by 75 cal.Which I am happy with. I had him put the rest in back fridge. Out of sight out of mind does work for me most of the time.
Now I am going to print out a fat picture of myself to look at to see if that will motivated. When we don't see ourselves we can deny how big we are. So I am doing good. It takes more than will power to lose.It takes planning and being prepared.
Roxy went to Petco and got all spruced up.So far she likes the new dog next door.

Soup is such a great idea -- filling and comforting, but low in calories. And I love that you can make a big pot and eat it for days. What kind did you make? I'm always looking for recipes... (4 chicken breasts, shredded carrots, new potatoes, Liptons's onion soup) With just me, I'll eat on it until Thursday when I go to Mother's. I didn't go last month since I went to Jonny's in Tenn. Wal-Mart Trip and my day

We first went and got my hair cut.Then went to Chili's for lunch.Split the mini burger meal. I had a terrible time coming up with calories. There web age had nutrition amounts but had 2 for same thing.So I figure it out piece by piece to see which I came closest to. With soup I ended up at 850 but upped it to 900. Will have a light supper of soup.
Then to Wal-Mart and you know I am never good there.I went for 2 things and ended up with several extra. In my defense part was Bill's fault. One I a very glad he found.As we were leaving he said I could have 2 minutes in book section. I said I was ready to go but he started looking so I said I would make one swing thru. He found the newest and last Eragon book.It came out today and is called Inheritence.Here are some pics. First is one Bill thought was funny in store. The others are mean.They show how warm and sunny it was in sunshine. Only good thing about pics is I can really see where I have gained.

I get this to make some muffins and I thought it was cute. Bill talked me into buying it

The book

Here are some new snack pretzels i got. 1/2 cup is 110 cal but they seem more filling. I am showing how many look like on a small paper plate & 1/2 cup


Here are my 2 containers for 1 cup and 1/2 cup. It will save me some time in preparing snack for some things.I will still have to weigh and bag a lot.

So I am doing good today. I was even given a sample candy bar at Wal-mart and gave it to Bill.And at lunch they gave us a thing with ranch dressing and Bill commented on fact I only had a small amount. I usually would use it all and then some. So our first day is going good. I am going to go get some soup and small salad in a minute..
Of we also got Roxy a new toy. Yes we spoil her too much.
The pic Bill took in Wal-Mart is trimed but I have printed ut the original for me to look at each day so I can be reminded how big I am.Hope you are having a good weekend.

You are crazy with your Walmart trips. Gotta love it. We spoil our little Tucker too. I have had those chips before. They are good in the beginning but left way too much of a garlicy taste in my mouth. I think there are other flavors I could try though. Hi Eleni....... You and I would be dangerous shopping together for dishes. There is a store about 20 miles from us that is nothing but kitchen utensils and flatware and dishes, and ANYTHING that you could possibly want for your kitchen. I LOVE sets of dishes........the only thing that keeps me from going crazy and buying many sets (besides the cost) is that I haven't the storage space to keep the sets I wasn't using at the time!!! I don't think that you can spoil Roxy too much. Dogs return our kindnesses in so many ways. You are so lucky to have Bill working with you to lose weight. I wish I could get Ken to join me.
