As usual I did good all day til after dark.This time I went over my calories but at least only by a small amount.I wonder if I will ever get this excessive late night eating done with.I have been better but I need to be even better. I wil just keep working at it.
I did do extra exercise this morning. I woke up late as I didn't sleep well.I got up in time to get VCR taping SIt Fit and sat down and did it half asleep. Then since I was awake I did 10 minutes of good old Richard and then 10 minutes of another sit down tape I had.I rested a few minutes between tapes but still got them done.They are nothing like what most of you are doing but it is moving and stretching and is more than what I was doing.
The sit fit gal uses a small ball sometimes so we are going to stop at K-Mart after Bill gets his tattoo this afternoon and I will pick one up.She also uses a real small one for finger exercises but I have a set of those chinese balls that will work for that.

My daughter Angel has been helping with house work for a long time but she is just so busy right now.It looks like her sister Rebekah will start helping out.It is good to have grown kids sometimes LOL

    You really are getting it altogether with your exercises, well done.
Thankyou for the messages on my page & how to work out the difference from fahrenheit to celcius, I never would have searched the web for it, well not at the moment anyway. To tired LOL
All the time I have on computer is to spend in Spark people. It is rather addictive isn't it.
Hop Bills Tattoo turns out real good with the additiion of the flag. emoticon

    Great job with exercising today! I was bad and didn't exercise yesterday...My poor body was taking a beating so I decided to let it rest.

Is there a group for "night snackers"? If not, there should be because you are not alone!! I can be fine at work but when I come home I'm hungry. I'm busy doing things at home too. There's something about being home in the evening and being hungry....

I hope all goes well with Bill's tattoo.

I was going to get this done early but it didn't happen.I did my Sit and Be Fit and then did 10 minutes of Richard Simmons sitting tape and 1 set of my hand weights.Have 2 more sets of weights and that is done for the day.

Bill has just started working 4 days a week and I am not adjusted yet.I knew he was off tomorrow so brain was saying it was friday but it is Thursday.I had my big pot of soup half made when I realized it.LOL.SO my soup is made early. And that is done.I just have to bag and freeze it when it cools. I have stopped keeping some in fridge as I get into it too much.

The hawk was back in the yard this morning and I thought I got a good pic.This looked like a different one as he looked larger.Only thing worse than missing the shot is when the shot isn't clear. My camera is not a cheap one and it should have taken the pic easy. I was not happy. I will recheck pic later but it didn't look good.

Hubby is going to get an addition to his existing Tattoo.He has the Navy Seabee symbol and is getting it retouched and a flag put behind it. I may go and pester him. I would hate for him to pass out and me not be there. I really don't care for where he is going but you know men.He isn't listening to me.She left another shop under not good terms and that bothers me. I would like something fixed on mine but since I take coumidan I can't do it.

Ok My tummy says it is time to eat.So I am going to go sample my soup with a salad

    Well done on your exercisng Eleni, I went & brought weight today for doing the boot camp exercises. I havae been using two tins of Baked Beans until today. LOL

    I'm sorry you have not had the best days lately, of course you can vent any time you want to. That is what we are here for.
Glad to hear the good news from the Dr. I am having to go back for the 3rd time next month...

I have not been around for a few days, busy, not feeling well, busy! Today has been non stop.
I'm proud of you for the exercise you are doing...I have a video of chair dancing, also DVD walking in place. I have not been able to do those this week, sinus infection has made me dizzy and just didn't feel like doing them. I did walk today.
What kind of soup did you make???
I love the picture of the hawk! I am a bird watcher...we have 3 pair of cardinals who live in and around our back yard. If Ted forgets to put out food until afternoon, they set on the bird bath and chirp LOUD until he feeds them!
Remember, You are Important...so take care of your self

I have a nice camera too however at times it doesn't take the best pictures. I get so frustrated. I told my husband I needed a new model since mine will be 2 years old in May.

You'll have to post a picture to the addition of Bill's tattoo. I love my tattoo's and have an idea for a 6th one but won't get it for a while. Our tattoo artist moved 5 hours north of here so I'm in mourning.

It is a cloudy dreary looking day. It is only suppose to get to around 73 which makes a great day.Except it will be raining soon. Altho it is warm it is very wintery looking and I see some very black clouds over the gulf.
I am starting the day off good. I was going to set up VCR to tape "sit and be fit" but forgot.So when I got up to take my first pile of pills I stayed up.I taped the show and did the exercises.Two days in a row. So I have 2 shows taped which will be a big help.
All of a sudden it has gotten very dark and here comes lots of wind and rain.Glad I am inside looking out. I have an aulinum roof out here and you can really hear the rain.Wish I had a bed out here.I love to hear rain drops as I fall asleep. This is a hard rain but we always need rain.
Ok Enough about that.
There are some people who can't believe that you can get great support via the internet.Well they need to check out spark.I have "my friends" who I get to know better and better and are a constant support. Then I have my teams where I have another group to help and encourage and exchange ideas.Plus I have joined a challenge that is turning out great. I am now Granny Hawk and I just love that name.Because of one of the leaders I am using the sit anf be fit.I needed an exercise I could do and the challenge forces me to do it now.
As I get more involved in my web site I spend more time on it.But if I wasn't doing this I would be sitting watching TV,At least I get a lot of benefit out of this, Sparkpeople is the best site around.
I am going to get this last little bit of christmas odds and ends put up.I should have gotten it days ago.I will get it done even if I just throw it all in one box and mark "Go thru later"
Even tho I went over my calories yesterday it was only a small amount and I am happy with what I did yesterday.Scale is down and key is to keep it down til Sat.I am changing my weigh in day to Sat because of challenge but think it will work better anyway. emoticon

    I also love the sound of rain on the roof. Your temperatures must be in Fahrenheit where as ours are celcius and I don't undeerstand the conversion. All I know is that is was so so hot today.

    I love the soothing sound of rain. I love thunderstorms even better! We had snow last night. It was only an inch or so but it makes the commute into work slow going even though the roads were wet, not snow covered.

I'm spending WAAAAYY too much time on the internet! I could spend all night on SparkPeople. I'm part of the newsletter committee at work and I'm in charge of the health & fitness section because I'm so gung ho about it. Gives me more reason to be on health websites.

Great job on exercising today! I'm sure you'll be feeling a difference soon.

    It hasn't started raining here yet but it's gloomy and windy so it's heading our way soon. We do need the rain.

I agree that you can get a lot of support from the internet. I have to watch how much time I actually spend on the computer because sometimes I do it instead of something else that I SHOULD be doing! However, it helps keep me focused and, really, I find that most of the people in my physical life tend to get tired of talking about diet and weight loss and fitness and don't want to hear it anymore. At least you know that everyone at Spark People is interested in hearing it!

Sit and Be Fit

Below is a message I put on the White Hawk nest this morning that I wanted to share with all my friends.The challenge I joined will have exercise as an important part of it and I had nothing that was safe for me to do.Now I do.
And I love my nickname which is Granny Hawk.

Good morning. Isn't it amazing how things just seem to happen. I think of the word Karma even tho I am not completely sure what Karma means.I will look it up shortly tho. I looked it up and one meaning was fate.
I normally do not get up early as I don't sleep well at night.So it is usually 9 or 9:30 when I get up. This morning I got up a little before 9:30 and at nine I was flipping thru channels on TV and the sit and be fit program was on.I have seen it before and even done a little but not much.I am not a good morning person either.Takes me a while to be almost human. But this time I said to heck with it and grabbed a straight chair and started doing it.I then quickly got VCR to taping so I have most of it recorded.And this was one that I could do just about everything without straining my heart or knees. I did about 27 minutes of the 30 minute program.I looked on internet and found her site but why buy when I can tape. I will set VCR up to tape in morning. Then I will have something I can do.I do have a Richard Simmons sitting tape that is very good but as much as I like Richard I can only take so much of him. Plus parts of it are a little too much for me right now.So I now have a way to exercise without doing any harm to myself. I know this is long but Audra is reason I did the program this morning. She emailed me yesterday and we discussed fact that I am limited in exercises I can do.She was so thoughtful and understanding.I probably would have just kept flipping stations if it hadn't been for Audra in the back of my brain saying to sit my hiny down and do it.

Just wanted to share the above.

I did well with eating yesterday.Almost went over but was at top on my range which is still great.
Getting better and better with chop sticks.My new ones should be here soon. I have been eating more salads with meals and now I want to find a special bowl just for salads.I have discovered Romaine lettuce and I like it so much better than iceberg. Will look at one of local thrift stores.They are a great way to find stuff that you only want one of.Some of my small oval plates came from there.
Well Hubby surprised me about putting up Christmas boxes.He put them up right away.That was new for him.I thought they would sit there at least a week
emoticonI am one behind this time.I have a few odds and ends stuff I want to go thru and keep some and get rid of rest. It will be so much easier next year to find stuff as each room is in one box. My grand daughter Brianna will love that.

    Well done with the exercising, that is so kewl.
When you get motivated itall comes together and boy do you feel good for it. Puff your chest nout stand tall & be proud of yourself.
I have salads with most of my meals, I just love all the fresh produce straight from the garden to the plate. Try my herb dressing that I posted, it is so good, very tasty and low in bad things. You can also use it as a dip.
Right I'm out of here, i have just arrived home from a very big 35 min walk in the sweltering heatand I need a shower. LOL

    I'm so proud of you for exercising!! That's wonderful! I've actually watched that show once (yes, I watched it and NEVER did it) before. I agree with you about Richard Simmons! He's too much most of the time. I wanted to slap him silly on the tape I have. He does wonderful things for people but he's too high strung for me.

I like romaine better than iceberg which wasn't always the case. Do you put salad dressing on your salad or do you eat it dry? I love salad dressing and right now my favorite is Kraft's Light Raspberry Vinaigrette. YUM!!

Saw breast cancer surgeon today

And it went well.. emoticonTook a lot of stress off of me and Bill.He took off work and went with me.She assured me that she thinks things are fine but I have to go back in 6 months for another ultra scan. But it has been a heavy cloud on me.Of course if I get any new smptoms we will go back sooner but we don't expect that to happen.
Going there saved me a lot of calories.I put a pork tenderloin in crock pot and I wasn't here to get into broth like I usually do.I stayed in my calories good yesterday and I still have plenty for my soup later.
I joined a challenge on the 100# team.I am now on the white hawk team and my nickname is Granny Hawk.Fits me. I won't be able to do a lot of exercise things but can do the other things.
Ok I need to check my teams and friends.I hope the site isn't still super slow

    Great news!!! I have a breast cancer tattoo in remembrance of my mom. It's something I think about all the time. I'm glad your appointment went well.

The pork tenderloin sounds yummy!!! I didn't eat the best dinner (chicken nuggets & fries made in the oven, not fast food) and I still have calories left over.

I thought about joining the challenge but I don't know anything about them. Before I sign up I want to learn me. Maybe you can fill me in as it progresses.
