I Need a good Day

I hate reading downer blogs and now I seem to be writing a lot of them. I have been in a downer mood for a few days and today was no different .Except. I accidentally hurt roxie and I feel terrible. She was laying under my recliner and i didn't know it. It hit her as i was lowering it..She can walk and doesn't cry but if you touch her in wrong place she whimpers.I hope it is just bruised. I am glad I have an electric one so I was lowering it slowly.
So I need a good day.
Bill helped or rather moved my plants around last night.
Here are some pics of my orange flowers

This is a small blue flower.

My first coneflower starting to bloom.

Here are two pots of coneflowers from last year. I did not know they would died away buy come back. I have been emptying the pots. I left these two alone and it started sprouting. Now I know not to dump pots.

and this one was started from seeds.

I will try to get caught up with my sparking tomorrow. I am so far behind. I have read all your comments but have responded back yet.

Hi Eleni........ I WISH YOU A BETTER DAY.......... After reading the part of your blog re: coneflowers, I have decided what to do with my West garden. I was weeding there yesterday afternoon and I need plants that will bloom in mid-summer and will self-seed. Thank you also for the well-wishes for Tyke. We brought him home this afternoon and he is worn out and sleeping on his pillow. The Vet found there was more wrong than he had originally thought, so he will have his cast on a week longer and the rehab will be more extensive. Awhhh sweetsie pie...I promise one day soon I will write an entirely "upper" blog just for you! I know my blogs sometimes make you sad and I surely don't intend to. I think writing how you really feel is very healing. Hi Ms. Eleni, You are due a very good day, I hope it comes soon for you! Your flowers are so beautiful. So far I'm growing some basil and tomatoes from seed. They are seedlings right now that are ready to be planted in soil. I also have some pansies and a couple other flowers going in a long pot. I will also plant some zuchini and more tomatoes soon. I caught a cold unfortunately :) probably because my immune system is not all the way back. Anyway, that's about it for me. I hope you get out of the blues ASAP. Are you pre or post menopausal? Hormones play tricks on your body and emotions. I started cone flowers from seed, last fall, and they don't look half as good as yours do. You most definitely have a green thumb! The yellow flower looks like coriopsis(sp?) What is the blue flower? Just a crappy day.No reason. Just getting thru it. Bill will soon be home and he always cheers me up.
Made a turkey meat loaf for supper.Saved half for another day.

It has been very quiet around here today. Bill is going to grill me a steak later
We went to a small get to gether for our grand daughter Tamara's 16th BD.
Did not sleep well last night but it happens some times. At least it is just once in awhile now.
Hope you are all having a good mothers day. It is not my favorite holiday for me.But I think it is a good one.Mothers deserve to have a day that just honors them.

Hi sweetness! You look like you had a happy momma's day after all. I LOVE all the pics...they are simply gorgeous. It's SUCH a great thing that you always have your camera on stand by...if I wish ANYTHING I wish I would have taken more pics of the Josher as he got older...I think I didn't like the camera much so just stopped taking a lot of pictures of events going on around me. I never took video either...I'd LOVE to hear and see him on video...I always thought they would just be a lot of clutter around the house..we always think things will last as they are forever don't we? Hi Ms. Eleni, Nice pics of the family, it looks like you had a nice day yesterday, I really don't like holidays much anymore but it is good that mothers are honored. We took the boys and wife out to lunch. Jason and his wife are having money problems so we picked up the tab. We had a nice time though. Jason and his wife gave me a flower pot with gardening gloves, clippers and flower seeds in it, it was real nice and Ryan gave me a rose. The car went kaput on us during this. Today has been much better. My son brought me lunch and visited for awhile. He brought Mexican which was interesting as I never eat it as I don't know what to get. I had my first chimi chunga which was good.But it must have been full of salt as I can't get enough to drink.
Have a few pictures to share.Bill bought me another plant yesterday and then my first gardenia bloom. Then some before and after pics of living room. I could not get the color of walls to show right.They are a light mint but they look blue or all kinds of color except what they are.

Ok I need to get ready to go. We are stopping by my other sons for our grand daughter Tamara's 16 bd.

Hi Eleni......... The Mint Green is wonderful........very calming.........and the painter isn't bad either. Gardenias are so beautiful........so multi-layered and such a great fragrance. have not felt good today and spent a lot of time going back to bed.Finally felt well enough to go get groceries. Bill got me another plant at grocery store.And since he said I was a good girl he bought me a small choco mint ice cream cone.
It looks like our 1st great grand daughter will be coming soon. Her mom has started to dilate. Will be a great mothers day gift. I have decided to have her call me Great Granny.
Ok i am really tired so I will say goodnight.

I'm sorry you are feeling so low - but also a little envious of a great-grandchild. We could have 15 year old great grandchildren if the kids had performed - but are lucky to have a 17 year old grandchild. Could have been coming up to the great-great, but no.
