It has been a tiring day for some reason. I haven't really felt bad . Just tired. Went back to bed after I had been up for a short time and then just now got up from a 2 hour nap. Now it is time to start supper. But I feel better. But this is usually the part of the day when I feel the best,
Scale was way down but so was fluid. But I am still doing better with eating. I started counting calories yesterday but quit by supper time. But Bonnie and I both did good at Bob Evans. And I did do super bad last night. I only had a small piece of cake with a small amount of ice cream.I am sure I went over but bot by a large amount. There is still a big piece of cake in kitchen and I haven't touched it.Good for me.
I wasn't up to doing a lot of exercises but I did go in there and do my 10 minutes. It has been a windy day but looks nice outside.
I thought I would quickly explain Angels trip to my heart doc.She has mitral valve prolaspe and also Atrial fibalation like I do.She has had ablation and it has helped so far.Chances are very good at some point in her life she will need a ICD implanted like mine. She can't afford a heart doc so my doc sees her for a small fee.
When I got up from my nap I had a message on my machine from a lady saying she had inspected the restaurant I reported. She said she did find a couple of roaches and did a return check to make sure they cleaned up the areas she told them to.They also hadto treat the restaurant, I still will never go back but they were very fast about inspecting the place.
Here are the flowers Bill brought me yesterday. I think maybe we will go to Fashion Bug and see if they have any clothes I want. He won't leave me alone until I let him get me something.

Kids did not get me anything. But they don't have any money anyway. They all call but 1 and he will be upset when he realizes he missed my bd. But I refuse to remind a grown man to call his mother. My oldest son is mr macho but he always calls.
My daughter Joy who tried to be spiderman went back to doc and he said she has an infection from fall and that is causing her pain.Gave her a couple of shots and she should feel better in a few days.
My sister Joanne's bd is tomorrow and my sister Martha's is friday and our daughter Heidi's is on sunday.Lots of BD's this week.
Bill will be bowling with his brother sat and Sun. His work week is already over.He is liking working 3 days. We just haven't gotten use to it yet.
Well I need to go see what needs to be done in kitchen. Hope you had a good day. Thanks again for all the BD goodies and well wishes.

Hi Eleni, I always enjoy reading about your day . . .I've been eating well the last couple of days but have been putting exercise off until evening and then I'm too tired or busy to even do them. Like you, I'm not sick but for some reason am dragging around and not getting anything really done today. . .My sink is full of dirty dishes--now I say to myself how hard is it to load up the DW but I guess for me it must be--LOL!! My middle son calls me almost every day on his long drive home from work--so I'd better fire up my cell phone as that will be in about 5-10 minutes. I hope we both get a good night's sleep tonight and I hope I exercise!

It has been a nice birthday

Tuesday, March 08, 2011

It has been a very nice birthday. Received several calls.cards and well wishes on spark and facebook. Thank you all.
Instead of going to a restaurant Bill grilled steaks and they were better than any restaurant. I took a piece of his cake I froze out of freezer. He did bring me one of my favorite ice creams for a treat.Chocolate mint.
Met with Bonnie who is a spark pal .Same lady I had the 5 hour lunch with. We cut it down to a couple of hours this time. We met the most interesting lady. She was 91 years old and sharp as could be.Told us she was Scottish and that she fought in the scottish war when she was young.Even sang us a song. She was a treat for sure.
Then came home and visited with my brother for a couple of hours. No nap today so I should sleep good.
All in all it has been a nice day. Going to go sit back and relax.I will catch up with my emails tomorrow.
Angel did get her 6 months check on her heart and doc said her heart sounded real good.
Ok I will get back tomorrow. Here is a picture that was taken with phone of us at Bob Evans. We both looked up calories before we ordered.

Monday

Monday, March 07, 2011

Bill came home early and brought me an early birthday present.I told him to not get anything. I had him. That was enough.

I finished the eagle. It isn't great but at least I did finish.

I did not sleep well last night. Both shoulder's and knee kept waking me up. It happens.I will sleep tonight.
I was very disappointed in myself last night.I did so good on calories all day and just messes up after supper.Sounds like a broken record. I did n't go over my calories by much but I shouldn't have gone over. Oh well.yesterday is gone.Tonight will be better.
Just thru a one pot meal in oven. Fresh green beans.new potatoes and chicken covered with can italian diced tomatoes. Ned to go make a salad to go with it.
I will be meeting spark pal Bonnie tomorrow for lunch.Looking forward to seeing her again.
I never did get my nails done so they are a mess. One broke and it even split the nail under. never had that happen before.
Okey dokey. Gotta run.Hope you all had a good day.
Tomorrow is my birthday and I am always glad to see another one.I am proud to say I will be 65.

Quiet Sunday

Sunday, March 06, 2011

Not much going on.Got up late and did get my exercises done. I did stay in my range yesterday.I was on high side but I am still happy. I am happy anytime I am below 2000.
Bill took Roxy to dog park and she had a grand time.
My brother who is visiting from Arizona came by for a couple of hours. He is super good about calling and making sure I feel like company. Last time he was here I didn't see him much as I wasn't feeling good. It was nice to see him.
Other than that just been hanging out doing pretty much nothing.
My calories are real good so far and I should be in range with no problem tonight.Hope so anyway.
Ok Hope you are enjoying your weekend.I know some of you are still getting snow. I won't tell you my AC has been on for days. I know Not funny.
take care my friends

Way to go for staying in your calorie range!! emoticon It's so hard, especially when there's yummy donuts and bakery cookies in the house! I've been very weak since the baby was born. It's more about convenience lately.

How nice that you got to see your Brother. I miss my brother and am headed to Columbus, Ohio in May for a weekend with him and my SIL. I am so looking forward to the trip and the time we will have together. My brother lives in Buffalo, New York so Columbus is about half way for both of us. Last time, we met in Cleveland and went to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. So much fun....

  Hi Eleni..........
No AC on here............although, I shouldn't complain because the snow is melting. We still have a lot of it to melt though! My company just left a few minutes ago. I had my oldest son's inlaws over for a Brunch and made the SP Recipe for Veggie Frittatas. It is so good and fairly low in calories. I also made French Toast and topped that with either Sugar-Free Maple Syrup or a mixture of Strawberries, Blackberries, Raspberries, and Blueberries and Light Cool Whip. The meal really turned out good and was pretty calorie-friendly.
Now that everyone has left, I am going to relax.........
Take Care..... emoticon

Saturday-- Grocery day

Saturday, March 05, 2011

Grocery day is so tiring.
We went to lunch and I did good. It was my pizza fix day. But we go where I get it by the slice. I had a cup of avolemono soup no bread no crackers,1 slice mushroom pizza. I had 5 of Bill's fries. He ate half of the crust on my slice. I made a point to eat as slow as I could.
The only thing I have eaten this afternoon is a few grapes and a few slices of cucumbers.
Supper will be oyster stew(soup0 and salad.
I did get a few different things to have around to snack on.I got some cinnamon graham crackers. I looked at vanilla wafers but I get more per calorie with graham crackers. As long as I stay out of peanut butter it should be ok. I have been getting pistachio nuts but have been eating them straight from bag. I know better than to do that. I bagged them in serving size and put calories on bags. Since I have trouble eating between meal i thought I would try a candy sucker. I know the suger isn't good for us but if it will keep me from eating a bunch of calories it will be worth it. I am going to try anyway.
Once again I got so aggravated at the baggers and Bill won't say anything and I am too far back to say anything. For awhile I separated stuff between our buggies and that helped. This time I grabbed one of those cards you filled out for how the service was. We take our own bags and they are bigger than the plastic bags. The baggers seem to think they have to fill them to the top. I weighted the 2 heaviest ones. One weighed 21# and the other 18#.That is way too heavy. Then after they filled the bottom of cart they started piling bags on top.I hate that.Especially when I am right behind Bill with nothing in my riding cart. That part worked better when I go first as once mine is full I head out and the rest goes in Bills. But the icing on the cake was when I started putting stuff away at the house. One bag had my grapes and tomatoes on the bottom with a bag of potatoes, cabbage ,cauliflower and a couple of more things on top. Tomatoes are very expensive and I don't mind paying it as it helps me to not overeat. But I don't want mashed ones. Once they put a package of meat on bottom and filled bag to top with cans.I found the meat the next daySo I am filling out a card requesting they better train baggers. It probably won't do any good but it will sure make me feel better.
I still have a few things to finish in kitchen. I have to rebag the grapes and wrap the celery up.
The bags of can stuff can be done tomorrow.
Hope you are enjoying your weekend.
Bill even got some of his outside honey do's done. He trimmed most of my plants and emptied some pots. He even got all the stuff for the earth box and all he needs now are 2 tomato plants.
Ok gotta go.

It is a beautiful day here today.

I know how aggravating baggers are. The last bagger forced a package of liver straight down and squashed my loaf of bread. I wanted to go back and exchange it, but John's cooler head prevailed. LOL From now on I'm telling that bagger that John will do the bagging for us.

  Hi Eleni.......
You have good reason to be upset with the baggers. They should certainly know better than to put meat underneath a pile of cans and tomatoes and grapes under the other heavier vegetables. The way groceries have gone up in price, we deserve to get them home intact!!!
You have to tell me what Avolemono Soup is. I have NOT heard of it before.
I bought both of the Nora Ephron books Used from Amazon. I really liked I Feel Bad About My Neck the best. You have a great sense of humor, so I know you will enjoy it too. Her newest was OK, but no where near as funny as "Neck."
Enjoy your Sunday. I am having company for Brunch......... emoticon

I will tell the person at the register stop and use more bags but don't smash my food. I even have them put the things like meat in a bag by itself and the same with yogurt, cheese and milk. I always make sure they put all the frozen thing in one bag and take a ice chest with me to put those things in the Jeep until I arrive at home. They will do it you just have to tell them how you want things done. I have not had any problems yet with anyone doing those things for me. I just smile and ask politely. emoticon

yes i agree with you with the baggers. i like bagging my own stuff so i can put boxes of things in one bag and the eggs are on the top shelf of cart with nothing on them. lighter things in another bag.caton of milk and margarine in a same bag. i will take 5 bags if i have too with me.and my bread i pay alot for my bread i don,t like it flatten that really bothers me.one thing i got to learn is not get as much groceries. seems like i need a lot more when i,m watching what i eat.i wish i could stand in the ailes to read labels but it seems like someone wants by or aisles are not wide enough to read to much.it seems you are always in someone way.that is around here anyways.i know one thing can soups are really high in salt so not to many soups better to make it.have a great day and talk again tomorrow.have a good sleep. emoticon

I have to be honest I do most of my grocery shopping online--I don't know if that's available in your area or not. It's probably a little more expensive but I can't do it myself with 2 bad knees and a weak back. If I were you, I would also be very irritated at the baggers as food is just too expensive to waste. . .

I've enjoyed exercising with you doing the Zookenesis--it's fun and doable as I have to sit down to exercise. I love your spunk and will do them again with you--LOL!!

Enjoy your weekend with your DH and family.

Hugs,

Jill

I've been eating pistachio nuts as well. They're at every store I go to and I couldn't resist. It's been a few years since I've eaten them.

WOW, your baggers are much worse than ours. Our baggers do the opposite. They only fill the backs 1/2 way. Sometimes they do stupid things and put heavy things on mushy things. We know what baggers not to go to and try to avoid them. I would definitely complain.
