Glad Bill is feeling better, when you exercise you need more calories so maybe that is why your more hungry today. I am hungry right now I have a spaghetti squash in the oven for dinner and it smells so good. Great shots of the lil guy and he is so cute. Have a great evening. Sandy

WOW, I can't believe all the hair Landon has!! I love the curls. Has he had a hair cut yet? When Jason had Alex's hair cut (against my wishes) all his curls disappeared. Report Inappropriate Comment |

Today was strange day as since we got groceries last night I had to take care of veggies today.Got me out of sync. I am tired again today.I think I may need to take a couple extra potassium.
No 7-11 stories. He did have a chance to take a picture of hawk but he got out of his car first and then remembered camera. I had to remind him always grab camera first. But at least he is spotting stuff. The guy with him asked him how he saw it and he told him I had trained him. That I was always seeing stuff before him.
He is liking the Miss Julia book so i have plenty more of them for him.I have made a reader out of him.
I forgot to go over my daily goals for last week.
1.Exercise for 10 minutes This I did great at and most days did over 10
2.Lift hand weights for 2 reps of 12 This I slacked up on altho I do some lifting of hand weights with my exercises
3. Walk to bedroom and back often Also slacked on this some
4.Limit salt use This I am doing fantastic at
5.Stay in calorie range I am getting better at this but room for a lot of improvement. The night time is still messing me up
6. Use timer to eat slower when home I forgot a few times but use it most of the time
7. Huddle in all my teams I did miss a couple of days
So I still need a lot of improvement but I am working on it.
The finale of sister wives was on last night and altho I don't believe in polygamy I couldn't help but like the wives. Most men have enough problems trying to keep up with one wife. It takes a crazy man to have 4.
Ok i need to get supper in the oven. Hope you had a good day
Here is recipe for Dolmades for anyone that is interested. It is the one my sister gave me.
Fela or Dolmades
2 ½ # ground chuck
2 cans Delmonte Diced tomatoes (basil, garlic, oregano) chopped in food chopper
1 large onion (chopped in chopper)
1 cup uncooked white rice
4 teaspoons minced garlic( used minced garlic in jar)
4 teaspoons oregano
16oz jar of grape leaves.(Got Orlando California leaves from Acroplolis store inTarpon.) Need large leaves
2 ½ cans chicken broth.
Note Gently unwrap leaves and rinse.Cut off hard stem at end
Mix all ingredients at top. Then put about a tablespoon full in each leaf and roll up. Pack into pot.Leave at least 2” at top. Place a few leaves over all and place plate on top to hold fela in place.fill to top of leaves with chicken broth. Cover with lid and cook slow until tender. Aprox 2 or 3 hours.
I put mine in a crock pot on high. Cook until grape leaves are tender
I covered them in broth but I don’t think it needs that much.
Take them out of broth to serve
This made a lot.Too many for my crock pot.
This is a favorite Greek dish.It is like stuffed cabbage only grape leaves are used. It is an aquired taste, people either love them or not. I like them a lot.

Hi Ms. Eleni, I like dolmades too! If you like stuffed cabbage rolls, you'll like dolmades. Thanks for recipe. The little guy is so cute, is this at a pumpkin patch? Little ones truly make the world a better place. I'm glad Bill is finally feeling better. Did he get another antibiotic? I had the best breakfast last weekend. I was bad, I had creamed chipped beef on toast smothered with the chipped beef gravy and fried potatoes. Comfort food at it's best. We went to diner near us that has such good food. It's run by greeks so I'm sure I could get dolmades there too. It was delicious but I got right back on my diet for the most part. I don't want to gain all that weight back. I'm fitting into clothes I haven't worn in several years. Have a wonderful day, Margaret Report Inappropriate Comment |

Sounds like you have had a busy day. Love Dolmathas. Thanks for the recipe it sounds easier than mine., will try it. I love them and so does Ted. And I love the lemon sauce that is served with then, but I usually just put lemons out to squeeze over them. Not as many calories! lol What are the Mrs Julia books? Who writes them? I guess I have missed them, I read all the time. How is Bill feeling? Have a good night. Oh , and Thanks again for the surprise package. Used it this morning on my apple and loved it. I just know I will enjoy it and will think of you when I use it. You are a special friend, I'm so fortunate to be able to call you mine! Report Inappropriate Comment |

I am not particularly fond of grape leaves - they taste bitter to me. Do have a Wonderful Wednesday. I have my volunteer job in the afternoon then on to Church for Chuppers (Church Supper) and Bible study. Love you! Sunny Report Inappropriate Comment |

The Dolmades sound delicious! I'm sure nobody in my house would even try them except me. I wouldn't even know where to get the grape leaves. They sell them in a jar? Is the taste similar to stuffed cabbage? I'm looking forward to Bill's next 7-11 or Wal-Mart story. Can you tell I don't get out much? Report Inappropriate Comment |

Too much work to make them. At Greek Islands they serve them with a lemon flavered white sauce.
