Hubby is a little bummed.The bowling didn't go as good today.But he still had a good time.
I am tired of hotel room.
It looks like my other plans are a bust too.The Butterfly estate isn't opened yet.I called today and they said coming soon. The zoo is farther away than I thought and lady said it would probably be too much walking for me.The only wheelchairs they have are the small ones and that won't work. They have a lot of large cats which is what I wanted to take pictures of.Oh well it is really Bill's weekend anyway.
I will just plan something after the holidays where I can rent a motorized cart. I may drive home the long way along the coast and see what pops up.

Poor Bill. He still had a great accomplishment yesterday so he should still be happy. I was just telling my 7 year old son (almost 5 now) that he can't win all the time. I'm sorry about your plans. Your idea of driving along the coast sounds wonderful! You never know what you'll find. It'll be pretty, that's for sure. Plenty of scenery to photograph as well. Have a safe trip home!! Hubby and his brother did great yesterday.They placed 2nd out of 40 teams. Today is singles and he will have stiff competition. But he is having a good time and I am glad.I am relaxing in room and come to lobby so I can post and check my email. We are suppose to go to a butterfly estate tomorrow but there is a nice zoo close by.I may change plans and go to zoo.
We had to go out to eat with his bowling friends and they picked an all you can eat chinese. The last place I wanted to go. I did ok but still ate too much.Tried to stay with healthiestt choices. But I ate badly most of the day yesterday but starting out good today.Bill was able to get me some skim milk and cereal from front desk this morning so I had a low fat sensible breakfast. I have a can of healthy soup for lunch.
But I am dreading getting on scale when we get home. Will have a lot of damage control to work on.But am not going to stress over it.
PS Vegefarmer- I will explain grits when I get back home.I will teach you all about southern cooking and redneck cooking before you know it LOL LOL And you can teach me about New Zealand

Hurray for Bill and his brother!! Way to go!! Sounds you're enjoying your mini-vacation. You're doing okay with your meals. Your choices are limited when you're away from home. I know that all too well. Is the butterfly estate a like a butterfly garden? Where you walk through the garden with butterflies all around you? There was one at the New Orleans zoo one year when I lived there. It was a soooo cool and amazing. Butterflies would land on you. They were everywhere! I love zoos, too. Good luck to Bill today. Way to go Bill!!! I wish him luck today. It's never easy to eat away from home. Don't fret about it. You're already making better decisions than you would've before you started this weight loss journey. You're aware and that's a huge step. When you get back home you'll get back on track. You've already started the day on the right foot! Both choices for tomorrow, the zoo & butterfly estate sound fun! Enjoy which ever one you chose. Enjoy the beautiful weather too! I'm jealous!!! Woooohooooo, way to go Bill. Enjoy your little holiday Eleni, you are doing good, eat little of lots, and enjoy. You have started welll this morning & your lunch will be healthy and so if dinner is a little over it will be ok. I look forward to my Southern cooking lessons when you get home & I'd love to teach you or should I say inform you all about the beautiful country I live in. Ok I won't go into withdrawal for not have access to web.LOL
I am in lobby and they have 2 nice computers. Yesterday was a very long day and then drive was farther than we thought.It was 6:30 before we got to hotel. Did not eat great but traveling etc makes it hard. So i decided if I was going to blow my diet it was going to be for something good.So we ordered from a deli that delivered and I had 2 hotdogs covered in chilli sauce. But I will be more careful today.Altho hubby was trying to be nice and brought me an omelete for breakfast which would have been ok but he wanted to surprise me with grits.I did not need the grits.I brought some soup and a few things that I can fix in room.I asked for a fridge and microwave so I am set. And the guy was so nice when he came and he put fridge up on counter instead of floor so I wouldn't have to bend over.
Bill has left to do his bowling.He bowls at noon with his brother in the senior doubles. I found out last night that they have already made plans for supper.The worse possible place for me to go.An eat all you want chinese place.Chinese is so full of sodium that I avoid it even tho I like it.
I was a little disappointed as I haven't eaten out in so long and they know this and they know why. But people just don't stop to think.There are tons of places to eat here. Oh well I will try to do my best.
Thanks for all the well wishes yesterday. It isn't over yet until labs come back but it is looking good.Worse might be a biopsi which isn't bad.
I plan on reading and relaxing in room most of the day.I am still tired from yesterday

Oh my yes, traveling makes it hard to keep with the good choices. But you can do it, even at the all you can eat Chinese place. Portion control - that's the trick when on the road. Eat slowly, savor every bite and stop just before you're full. It's great you brought soup and things along. Lunch is in your control. Let us know how Bill and his brother do in bowling. Wow Eleni. That sure is a bonus being able to get on here. I did the same thing last week when we went out for dinner, I ordered the healthy wrap but it came with hot chips or fries I think you call them. I said to myself, you eat them all up & enjoy them cos it's been a long time since you had these. they tasted so good, I enjoyed them but couldn't finish them, I was so full. That night I paid the price for it sitting for ages & often in the little room LOL. I hope you don't have the same result. It is good to do this every so often I think. What is Grits ????? MMMMM, that chili dog sounded delicious!! My mouth was watering. I've been craving a Chicago style hot dog for a few days now, with greasy french fries!!! The things we put ourselves through to loose weight. LOL. The Chinese sounds yummy too. We had Chinese a week ago but I didn't over indulge. Chinese is a huge weakness for me. Just a quick note to say things went well this morning.Mammograms ( did them twice on both breast) and ultrasounds ( did both instead of just left)show mostly water cysts except for one spot which doc felt was not serious and benign..He recommended another ultra sound in 6 months.Now have to wait for lab work and then gyno doc will decide if she want to go further.But things look ok for now. Heading for Ft Myers in a few hours. Be back on Monday

Doctors visit

Saw my gyno doc today for left breast and ongoing fat girl rash.
She gave me some oral medicine for rash and told me some ointments to try. That was good part.
The not so good is left breast. I had some slight discharge a year ago and every thing turned out ok.I have a history of water cysts.
Well this time we were actually able to get a tiny bit on a slide which will be checked.I go early tomorrow for mammogram on both breast but ultra sound on left.If all of this turns out I will then have to have dye injected into breast and imaged again to pinpoint problem.That does not sound like fun. This is good news.The bad news will be if they find a tumor tomorrow.The doc feels that it is water cyst as we both know that discharge from nipple can indicate the most aggressive cancer and if it was that I would have had problems long before now. So I am fairly sure it is just a false scare but it does give me concern as it would anyone.
My sweet husband insists on going with me tomorrow.He took off time today to take me to doc. But that is just the way he is. I can't count the days this man has refused to leave my side when I have spent time in the hospital in the past. He is my greatest blessing. I know you are sick of hearing how great he is.So I will say he can also be a big pain at times.
So it is just another little mountain I have to get over.LOL
We are leaving tomorrow afternoon for Ft Myers so Bill can bowl and I won't be around. Unless I can use computer in lobby. So you may not hear from me until Monday night. I might get on shortly tomorrow if I get good news tomorrow.Now I have to check out my pals blogs.

What an awful thing to have to go through. I hope it is a water cyst and nothing more. No wonder you sounded so down in your e-mail. I am so sorry you have t go through this. Why you are at the doctors getting the tests done, think about the butterflies, it will help you through it. Have fun with Bill this weekend and no, we are not tired of hearing how great he is.
