I did do a little better last night with eating and today has been so so.It has been a slow process of getting back on track.
Sleep has been very bad the last two nights. If I could sleep better at night I think I would do better all over. Oh well.
I watched the small birds being bullied by the nasty looking mocking bird this morning. The blue jay stayed up on fence and watch everybody.

Then I saw this guy thru window.Took one thru window and then went outside and took some.

This is my favorite

Ok Nothing new.Very quiet day
Bill just told me my roses were getting some new buds. For some reason I couldn't get a good close up but I tried.

Have a good night

Looks like that big scary bug has sun glasses on. I'm thankful I don't see those kinds of bugs at my house!!

I love watching the birds. Some of them are down right mean. It's interesting to see them interact and chase each other. I still love our yellow finches.

It has been an ok day so far.
I got my hair cut and did a ride around looking for something to take pictures of. I will share them in a minute along to link to see all.
On way home I decided to check out a road I have never been on.Thought I might find something interesting. I do have a knack for getting myself into trouble sometimes. As I went down this road everything on left was fenced off and at first just saw abandoned houses falling down. The further back I went I was starting to think maybe this wasn't such a good idea. Very desolated looking.I finally came to a shabby house with some vehicles out front that said to get my butt turned around and out of there. Just barely had room to turn around. It was funny once I was on way out. This was not one of my brightest ideas.
So I stopped in Crystal Beach which is a great place to watch the sunset and took some pictures.
Made it home in one piece and got all the soup bagged up and in fridge and freezer. This batch came to about 60 calories per 2 cups which leaves plenty of room to add more veggies when I eat it. It was actually less than 60 but I added a few for good measure.
Angel was suppose to see specialist for her hand today but referral got messed up so she goes tomorrow. Our Brianna is in Key West with friends. She goes somewhere every year with this family. Usually Angel goes along but not this time.
Ok here are some of the pictures I took today. I saw this golf cart on side of road.

Here are some more. I have no idea what is on back of dragon fly.It is holding on to my car antenna.

And we must have a butterfly. I took this in late afternoon and thru a dirty window.

To see all I took today go to my flickr page

Hope link works. Ok Hope your day went well. I am still doing not so good but maybe tonight will be my night.

The dragonfly looks like it could be out of an animated movie. Singing a new tune into a microphone. You could add it to your next video blog and lip sync for it. emoticon emoticon
And the trees are the evil forest coming after the little guy to steal his next big hit. And of course it all started when they were driving down a lonely lane and ran into some scary creatures along the deserted street with run down houses.

What an imagination you have Eleni. emoticon

Hey there dear friend. Loving your photos. Went to the Flicker site and marveled at what a good eye you have for framing. My favs were the knurly looking trees (you KNOW what a tree hugger I am emoticon) I truly adored the sunset bench scene and the 'ride around' pics were grand. I also love your sunflowers and your butterflies and oh...oh...the BLACK swans...what a treat to see! The egrets were amazing and of course the cutie patootie Landon! In fact your butterfly pics inspired me for a new color design with my jewelry...I love the periwinkle blues, the oranges, reds and greens...very inspiring a few minutes with you are! Thanks sweetie pie! emoticon emoticon emoticon

    Hi Ms. Eleni,
I love your photos, I like to take road trips too but I tend to go into panic mode when I get lost. What kind of soup did you make? Was it vegetable? I think I'm going to make a chicken soup since I have leftover rotisserie chicken in frig. I only lost a pound this week even with working out everyday and watching what I eat. Hope Angel's hand gets better soon, what exactly is wrong with it? Well, hope you have another good day today, talk to you soon,

Margaret :)

Love you pictures. I always enjoy them. I like to take road trips, too. I once got stuck in the sand and sat for hours before someone came along to help me, That was before the days of cell phones, and I was about 10 miles from the nearest house and 7 months pregnant! Sorta learned my lesson...but have been known to do those things still!
Hope Angel's hand is okay...she is in my prayers.
Take care,

Darn it, I closed my comment! ARGH!!!

Anyway, that's one HUGE dragonfly!!! YIKES! That thing can eat people!

I'd be scared to go on a driving adventure. I get lost easily and panic when I don't know where I'm going. Jason has a sense and knows what direction he's traveling, even in the dark. Not me.

I love the golf carts. I'm sure you see them alot down there. My sister has one for her farm with mud tires and a souped up engine. Sam loved driving it when we visited.

I hope Brianna is having a good time in Key West. It looks like a fun and beautiful place to go.

Made a huge pot of my weekly soup.I ran out yesterday.I made myself some cauliflower and broccoli soup for lunch. It was very good if I do say so myself. My big pot of veggie soup is good too.I had a cup with my supper to test it. I can't bag it til it cools so I may have to bag it tomorrow.
I have done real good with eating today so far. Better than most days.
have not heard back about sleep test yet.Probably will tomorrow.
My Angel girl cut her hand real bad yesterday at work. Just talked to her and it isn't hurting too bad.She was smart enough to go get a sling and kept it in that so it was elevated so there isn't any swelling. She sees a specialist tomorrow.
Here is a small butterfly or moth that has been hanging around.Hard to get a good shot. His body is same color as flower. Only got one while sun was shining.

Ok Thats it for me. I like the new spark goodies that have been added.
Hope your day was good

I don't know why, but I couldn't leave you a comment before. I need to make some soup again - I have Pasta with beans, tomatoes, and other stuff in the fridge, along with some Spanish rice and chicken. We need to kill the leftovers and then I do some chili or bean soup.

My eating is under control today, but think I have set myself up for a gain this week. I weigh in on Thursdays.
The tomatoes have started ripening again. I have sure been enjoying them. When we had so much rain, they slowed down.

It was overcast around here today too. It was raining at Alex's ball game but I was comfortable in a t-shirt and shorts. Sure beats the 90+ degrees we've been having. Those nasty temps are coming back just in time for the weekend. Of course I have a ball game to go to.

So far it has been a quiet but good day. I slept somewhat better last night. I tried turning down the AC more and I think it helped. Plus Bill was quiet and arm didn't go numb so much. I do feel more rested today.
If the sky stays clear we are going out somewhere so I can get some pics of the Florida sunset.
Angel stopped by and was telling my how much she loves my photo's.That was nice. i know the folks on the shutter bug team put my pics to shame but I enjoy taking them.
I had another gain but did lose some fluid today.Dropped 10# in a few hours. But I am still up 2.5#.
Here is a bird that has been showing up a lot lately.I don't know what it is.It has marking like a sparrow etc but it is a larger bird like a mocking bird. I have birds come in yard with peanuts all the time. This guy was banging the nut on ground use his beck until it broke in half. I couldn't figure out why he keep slamming his beck in the ground and then I saw the peanut

These are plants Brianna and I rescued from front yard. They had no leaves on them and Bill was going to throw them away. They are looking good now.

And have to have at least one flower and another butterfly

Ok I hope you are all enjoying your weekend.

Here is a picture that Brianna took on the 4th.Good job

I'm glad you slept better in the cooler room. My whole self is not the same without enough sleep. I've kept up my workouts and calories where they should be last week so I should have a loss this week. Fantastic that you lost 10# even if it was fluid. We'll take it anyway we can get it. I love the photos as always. I can't wait to see the sunset pics. Brianna did a good job, chip off the old block. I had a good day yesterday also, although, just so darn hot. I wanted to go the Artscape festival but a friend needed me so I helped her out and was pretty much done for the day. I picked 3 cucumbers out of my garden. I'll be looking for recipes to make pickles. I'm going to take your advice and get the sleep study. I'll tell the doc when I go next month because I want to have before I get my knee replacement in September. Have a great day,

It's common knowledge that you sleep best in a cool room. I considered buying a window air conditioner for our bedroom so I could cool it down to 70 or 68, like it is in the winter. That's when I sleep well, with a blanket and a cool room.

You lost 10 pounds in a few hours - that's impressive. I hope you are recovering from your problems. Good Health! emoticon
