Friday More PicturesFriday, May 21, 2010
My sister has been telling me about the pair of rare Heron birds that built a nest in tree next to her house. So after I got home from grocery store I grabbed my better camera and away I went. I couldn't see the babies and she is high in the tree. She is hard to spot if you don't know she is there. Interesting thing you will see is that she has a film that she lets down over her eyes. Some pics have her eyes showing and some the film. I can't pick just one or two so here are several. Check out her yellow hair on top. ![]()

I am new to your blog, but I enjoyed your pictures. I am a retired Pharmacist and if the Dr. gave you pills to help you loose weight then by all means do so. We all have to have a little help now and then.

Hi, your sister is on the same team as me and she put me on to your blog site so I could see the Heron you took photos of and that's fantastic. Reason I wanted to see it is cause we have a Heron snitching the fish out of our pond and I didn't even know what this bird looked like! Sure is a pretty bird. Others have seen Herons taking fish out of their ponds around here but I haven't caught them in the act yet, lol. You write great blogs, I've been reading some of them ~ loved the one about steaming veggies and the photos, they looked delicious! Have a nice weekend. Gloria Report Inappropriate Comment |

Neat pictures, losing weight gets harder the older we get and our metabolism is not as active. Make sure to eat healthy no matter how you lose the weight.

I love you pics and I think you are doing a good thing with accepting the doctors help in your journey. I do not think its a cop-out. I think they are a good tool, like someone else said already, like glasses or a walker. I hope the best for you. Dee Report Inappropriate Comment |

Once again, awesome pix! I left note on your page about medication. It is a great appetite suppressant, just go easy with it. You may want to have your doctor give you a lower dose until you get used to it.

What is the medication? I hope you do not have the side effects and that they work for you. That would be GREAT! I am off soon to the Farmer's Market and then tomorrow, fishing with my Father, Son and DH. We just hope the path down to the lake dries out some. Take care and have a Super Saturday. I loved the pics! Incredible that you were able to get that close to the bird....and the flowers are beautiful. As for the heart pills, I would look at them like crutches, glasses or other items that are needed to help live life. If your Dr. thinks they will help your condition, than by all means you should take them...your heart will get stronger, and then you can discontinue using them....it's not a cop out....it's taking care of your body....and sometimes we need a little help with that!! You my dear should take the medication as you said the Doctor wants you to take it and if he thinks it will help you and your condition I say go for it. Heck you got any extra I love the photos of the heron, as you know we have a lonely heron on the bay. This morning Hubby said he saw about six out on the point and then they flew off, all except our heron. You have a wonderful weekend and don't worry about others just yourself so you can get better. Your heron birds look so big compared to ours. The beaks are not as wide and strong looking. Great pics! Even your trees are so different from ours. I enjoy seeing these pictures. Otherwise I wouldn't get to know the what the other side of the country looks like. I bet you feel the same when you see our trees and wildlife. Glad that you are going to give the pills a try. If the doctor suggested them. I wouldn't think he would have you try if he didn't think it was for the best. Knowing that you have control whether you want to continue or quit them makes it easier to swallow...(sorry about the pun). You enjoy the weekend with your sweetie! Funny, I call my DH that too. Not dear, not honey, just sweetie... Report Inappropriate Comment |

They sure make birds big in Florida! If the weight loss pill will help, the side effects aren't bad, and you don't have to be dependent on them forever there's no reason not to give it a try. If they work, that's great. You know that it's still going to be a struggle. My co-worker had tried weight loss pills but she still ate horribly and didn't exercise so they didn't work. I hope they give you that jump start. I can't be in the sun and heat too much either. The heat and humidity has bothered me all my life. They will understand. MMMMM, grilled vegetables sound yummy. Enjoy your evening and stay cool. We're going to get hot and humid here starting Sunday. I can't wait for warmer weather. Report Inappropriate Comment |

Great pictures!!! digital or film? what kind of camera? what setting? I also love photography. Your grandson will understand, at least our graduation is at 8am but at bright house stadium, heaven only knows what they will do if it rains. Good for you with the pills, it just may be the spark that you need to get back on track. Report Inappropriate Comment |

Oh, a Monarch. Wonderful for you to have such a royal visitor. I love them. Our Granddaughter was born in September in Southeast Kansas on the day the Monarch's were migrating south and there must have been a bazillion of them in the courtyard of the hospital. I wrote a poem for her titled "Born on the day of The Butterflies". Every time, I see a Monarch, it brings back such wonderful memories. Hugs to you, Sunny Report Inappropriate Comment |

Loved the pics of the monarch butterflies, they are so pretty! The birds are nice too.....had a bird fly into the window yesterday...he must have knocked hmself out. We gave him some water....and then he eventually flew away. When he hit the screen, poor little guy took some fur from the top of his head. Hope you are feeling more energetic today!!
