For once we went to grocery store and bill was not huge. But we are well stocked up on a lot of things. But I alway have a fridge full of fruits and veggies. In fact we are trying to decide whether we want to get an extra small fridge. Bill is going to look around tomorrow.
I did good with my calories last night. I am in great shape now so I am optimistic for tonight.
I got all my exercises done before we went to grocery store.
Tomorrow night is my night for grilling veggies and I am going to try an acorn squash. Tonight was every man for himself so I had oysters.Just sautéed them in a pan and had a low cal veggies egg roll with it and sliced tomatoes.
Tomorrow is weigh in day and wouldn't you just guess the scale went up today.Has to be fluid. I hope it is gone by morning as I had more good days than bad.
Tomorrow afternoon is plant day. Bill has to pick up some more potting soil in the morning.
That's about it for now.The tall orchid has one little bloom on it.Will take a pic when more bloom. Today was another beautiful sunny day. Ok have a good night and get ready to enjoy your weekend.

Glad you had a good grocery trip today.. always nice to come out with the grocery bill being smaller.. never tried acorn squash, so let us know what it taste like..

I saw some orchid plants the other day, but still didn't get one.. I did get some burnt orange merigolds, and some purple varigated patunias.. they are looking good, and my Easter Lily has 4 or 5 big blooms opened on it.. it's so pretty.. should have taken a picture of it, but I forgot..lately we've been having a small steer that belongs to another man get out of the pasture and comes to eat the grass in the yard and in our garden area.. hope he doesn't decide to eat my flowers.. he's a hoot..he has learned how to climb through the barbwire fence without getting hurt..and he never gets out in the road.. so we just let him be.. helps cut the grass and gives fertilizer to boot.. LOL..

Hope you don't have that fluid building up so fast again..I've got it in my feet and legs, and have something going on in my jawbone.. all I need is another problem.. well I'm tired so hope we both rest good tonight..

Love ya Ladybug,
Pat

Your day sounds like a really good one! Watch the salt, especially the hidden kind, tonight if you're weight tomorrow.

I've got to go out to see my buddy at the Sanford Flea Market soon so that I can get some plants to replace the ones that didn't make it through the cold weather this year. He's got everything from houseplants and orchids to trees and shrubs. Last year I got an awesome tea olive tree that I planted next to my patio - the delicate, little, white blossoms have a really soft, pretty fragrance!

Last night was not good for eating. Actually it was one of those days that was a struggle all day long. But it is over and done with. Can't undo what I did.
Today has been the complete opposite. Because of getting up late etc I was real low on calories at supper so even tho we ate out I a have plenty of calories for later.
I got my exercises done before I left the house.Altho I hate exercising and will never like it I feel better mentally when I have done it.
Today was my day to go see my hypnosis friend for a session. Since we are friends and she reads my blogs she knows me very well. She tried a different attack so to say this time. I am optimistic that it will be a help. We concentrated on controlling what I eat at night instead of not eating at night. I do not want to stop eating at night.I want to not overeat and control what I eat. One important key to using hypnosis as an aid is to be sure you have a good hypnotist. All are not equal. Some are much better than others. Mine is top notch and I rate her as the best. And the fact I consider her a friend makes it an extra bonus. Hypnosis is no easy cure or short cut.I still have to do the work of eating healthy and exercising. It just helps give me a better frame of mind. I will keep you posted on how I do at night
I still don't have those new plants repotted.Brianna got sick so Bill is going to help me this weekend.
Our veggies are looking good. I even found a tiny tomato on the end of one of the blossoms on my plant.
Well I need to see what I need to tape tonight. I was very happy with the results of DWTS and BL this week. Master Chef is back and I watched that last night. I was only familiar with one of them this week. He didn't make it to the final 8 I think it is. I think Kat is on tonight. There is either nothing on or too many for me to watch and tape.
OK Have a good night friends.

So Bill didn't get out of it after all. Too bad Brianna got sick though. But now he doesn't owe her LOL. I love your little girl pics. I am curious to see how the hypnosis goes. I have always been one skeptical of that.

So far it has been a good day. I did good last night with my eating. I wasn't as long on calories but I was under 1600 and I am happy with that. Angel is cooking supper and I looked up what she is fixing and came up with 35 cal per oz. So I am not sure how that will turn out.Won't know til later. I told her it was her turn to cook. She comes and does some cleaning for me on Wednesday and I always feed them.
I got all my exercises done plus a little extra. I sat out in sun for a while and then decided to see how cold the pool was. I stepped down on top step and it didn't seem to bad.I ended up going all the way n.It was on the cool side LOL. I walked around some and swam a few laps. So I can now use the pool as long as temps stay up.Bill is going to change timer so solar panels will warm it up better.
I am going to go see a friend of mine who is a hypnotist tomorrow. I was her client and we became friends. I do believe hypnosis is a viable help for many things. I am a big believer in it. It doesn't always work but it always is helpful. Until I went to Debbie I never ever drank water. I do drink water now. I am going to have one session to see if it will help some with night over eating. It didn't help before but she wants to try again so I am game. Maybe it will this time.
The pollen is really messing people up around here. Lucky me it doesn't bother me. But then I am not out in it a lot. But it is bad.
Here are some blooms I just took a picture of. This is the first bloom on this small orchid. It has more buds on it that will bloom later.
This is just a pretty little flower on one of my plants

This is that tall orchid I have been showing you. It hasn't bloomed yet but wanted to show how large the bulbs are getting. I had poor Brianna dragging it all over the place so I could get a good picture.

Well Angel has supper ready so I am going to go make a salad to go with it. It is nice when they can cook for us once in awhile. emoticon
Ok I hope you are all having a good day.I think winter is about over for all of us.
Oh I forgot. Her is a picture of the earth box Bill got.Someone asked me about it. So far it is working good. The plants are growing great.

Beautiful Afternoon

Tuesday, April 06, 2010

It is a fabulous day today. The sun is shining and it is nice and warm outside. We are finished with cold weather. It will just keep getting hotter here.
I got all my exercises done this morning and then sat out side on deck for awhile in the sunshine. That sun was hot real quick.I didn't stay out long. A little sunshine is good but not too much.
It has been a nice quiet day. Hubby is going to a car show with his truck after work so I don't have to cook supper per se. I get to eat stuff he doesn't like when he doesn't eat at home. I eat what he calls the stinky stuff like shrimp.LOL Sometimes chicken livers.LOL
I did great on my calories last night. I ended up with 1334 which is lowest in a long time. And I did not starve myself.I am not into that.I am into volume for the least amount of calories.
I want to thank the person that gave me the sleep tip. I can't remember who it was and I tried checking my blogs and page and can't find it.But she told me to try counting to help me get to sleep.I tried it and it does help.Like she said if I am concentrating on counting I am not thinking about everything else.
Bill heard from the mechanic and it looks like it might not cost as much as we thought to fix his van. We just put some big bucks in it last month.
Well It is past my nap time so I am going to go take a short nap.I have a big mess in kitchen to clean up.Will feel more like doing it when I have my nap.
Hope you are all having a good day

I'm so happy that you kept your calorie count down..one day at a time is all you can do, and that will keep your scale going down. I'm soooo proud of you, Ladybug..

I do the counting when I feel the onset of a panic attack, and if I count slow and concentrate on how the numbers look inside my mind it helps to relax me and slows my heart rate down..I voice/say the random numbers thing inside my head to go to sleep.. for example I think of the numbers like 1, 55, 3001, 33, 749 on and on till I'm in dreamtown and snoring.. I count numbers silently in my head when I'm anxious, like in the doctors office..it does work most of the time..

Glad that Bills van won't be as much as they said at first..that means more money to spend on flowers and the good stuff like grocerys.. LOL..

very windy but sunshine here.. *hugs* - Pat

It has been a not too bad day. Altho I have been somewhat tired I did get a few things done.
I got all my exercises done. Even tho I tried to talk myself out it I made myself go back there. My goal is only 10 minutes a day but I always do more unless I am really not feel good. I got a lot done today. I always start with the easy sit and be fit.
Bill's van is broke again and he came home to pay AAA when they came to get it.Since it was lunch time he went and got us a 6 inch sub. I always get just a turkey with lettuce, tomato , cucumber and onion. I put my deli mustard on it when I get it. Sometimes I will add more tomato. I did cut up half a cucumber to eat on the side.
I have done real good with eating today. Since I just made a huge pot of soup that is what I had for supper.I did have a boiled egg after. Won't know the calories until I bag it. I got a big bag of kale and put a lot of that in it. I like kale in soup.Too bitter in a salad.
Altho my eating wasn't the best over the weekend I am back on track.
I do have some pictures to share. I showed some flowers from this bush last week but it was only blooming at bottom. The whole thing is blooming now.Bill took a pic from bottom of drive way for me. I have had this bush for a long time.

And I was happy to see a butterfly going to my new plants. The wind was blowing and I had to take so many pictures to get some good ones.

And this is Landon

And this is Bill's son Chris and his wife Kim and our grand daughter Alyssa
Ok I need to go bag up soup. Hope you are all getting back on track too.I know several of us didn't do too good this weekend.

I am so glad to hear that you are feeling better, that is scary when you have so much extra fluid, makes everything hurt plus the breathing gets difficult. Have you found the name of that daisy looking flower with the blue center? What kind of bush is that with the pink flowers?
Love the new pictures of the family and the butterfly, did you use a max exposure or a special lens?
Enjoy this glorious weather, soon we will be doing the exercises in the pool but for now because of your blog am going to hit the treadmill, thanks.

Every time I see Subway I want a sub but I'm taking a risk if I eat lunchmeat while pregnant. Lunchmeat can carry listeria but my OB hasn't seen any cases. Listeria is a type of bacteria that can be found in some contaminated foods. It's a warning but I'd rather do without lunchmeat for the next 6 months and be safe.

I love all your flowers. Your yard must smell so good!!
