I've posted this in a blog so I have it. I will post on my front page.
Today, we met for our morning walk, even as crummy as I am feeling, I met for my walk. This is a must do for us. We've even come up with a plan, that if it is raining, we will leave a couple minutes early, meet at South Center and walk the mall.
We are trying to take away "all excuses". Meaning, this is a must do. The cardio is together, but the strength is on our own. But we will check in with each other and we can make adjustments to it if need be. The only way a person will lose 2 pounds a week is exercise and having a deficit of 1000 calories a day, every day, but our goal is 1+ pounds a week.
Also, as of today, we picked a point, and jogged it. Thursday, we will pick two points and jog it. This is all in prep for the couch to 5K.
So far, we have faithfully kept our cardio plan, and we are both really enjoying it. It is making it way more fun and keeping us so on track.

Ok, we got up this morning, we got into truck, stopped by Jack-in-the-Box, got a breakfast sandwich, headed for McMillan Trail Head. We unloaded our bikes. Let me tell ya, hubby not feeling well, but off we went anyways. We rode for a total of 5 miles. It was a beautiful ride; however, too short. It was kind of a bummer that it was only a 5 mile ride, but I know that my right sinus is still giving me havoc, and he really doesn't feel well nor does daughter, but it was so pretty and nice out. Got the garden finished, watered, some weeding, and now installing wireless printer, a pain. My leg muscles are still sore from all the walking and hiking. It was refreshing to bike ride. In fact, I am hoping we feel well enough to go for a ride tomorrow. I meet with Tami in the morning to walk, then when get home, I am hoping hubby is up to going on a ride.
The National Anthem came on the radio when getting gas and both hubby and I started singing it. DD must have thought we were crazy, but we do honor today of all the men and woman that have served our country and remember Pearl Harbor. If you ever go to Hawaii, make a point to visit that Memorial, it really is awesome and touching.
I am being very lazy other than that.

Well, how many of you get really frustrated? Disappointed? Struggle? I bet it is a lot of us. Well, last week I lost "0". This week, I got on the scale nearly every day. It kept showing up, up, up. It actually showed 186, back to 185, 184, 184.6, 185, 184, and today, my weigh in, 183.0. That is right I was 183.6, so that is a .4 loss. I am not disappointed in the fact that I had a loss, I am thrilled that is is a loss, that I am seeing 183.0. I pushed myself, I really pushed hard. I am not lacking on trying, I am not lacking on motivation on trying. I struggle, I struggle big time. There are days I just don't want to do the burn, but I DO IT! I faithfully put on my HRM, I make a complete effort to make it get a burn of a minimum 250, but push for it 500+ I look at myself, I see the differences from where I started last year, but it is like not enough difference. It is like, I want my arms to shrink, the upper fat hanging over the elbow to be gone, the muffin top, or jelly roll, or fat roll, to be gone. My but to be smaller and firmer. I walk, ride, hike, and what runs through my mind every time is:
FAT FAT GO AWAY
FAT FAT GO AWAY
I DON'T WANT YOU ANYMORE
FAT FAT GO AWAY
FAT FAT GO AWAY AND STAY AWAY
YOU MAKE THIS SO HARD
ALL THIS LARD
FAT FAT GO AWAY
FAT FAT GO AWAY
I DISPISE YOU, I HATE YOU, I WANT YOU OFF MY BODY
I AM GOING TO BURN YOU, YES, BURN YOU AWAY
YOU CAN'T STAY
YOU MUST GO AWAY
FAT FAT GO AWAY
FAT FAT GO AWAY
MIND YOU NOT, MAKE THE MIND STRONG
RELEASE THE ENDORFENS
WHETHER YOU WANT TO MOVE BODY
YOU ARE GOING TO MOVE
YOU ARE GOING TO BURN BURN BURN
YOU ARE GOING TO FEEL THE PAIN
YOU ARE GOING TO FEEL THE BURN
UNTIL YOU RELEASE THE FAT AWAY
FAT FAT YOU ARE GOING TO GO AWAY
FAT FAT YOU ARE GOING TO GO AWAY
The words sometimes might get jumbled or change a little, but it is part of me training my brain to lose. But I am finding it is making me more determined. I don't want to be this fat person anymore, I can't magically make it disappear. I can only work at it and try my best. A big difference from last year, thinking I was doing so well, and was doing well, but it just was not good enough. A spark friend wrote a blog today, Krzykat, and one thing, look at how you were last year in comparison to this year. I've been doing that a lot, and let me tell ya, I am doing WAY WAY better this year. Last year was far from a failure, but has made me stronger for this journey. I've had some very well dedicated spark friends and some new friends, all so inspiring, all having struggles in different areas. I want to take a moment to mention some, but don't feel bad that I don't mention you, it is that I have over 126 friends and some I know more then others.
I am going to start with KRZYKAT, she was active last year, but one BIG change I've noticed on her, her determination, her burn, her activity level, her participation, she was there, right along side me last year, with many issues, and she has had her share of them. She has overcome a lot of obstacles. This year, not only is she overcoming the obstacles, she is burning those calories up, she challenges me, others, and herself. It's almost like a competition, but in a way to get each other to move and stay moving.
Ok, next, SHANSHE, She was one of the first people to welcome me to Sparks. She is such a wonderful compassionate person. She has had so many changes from last year to this year, that I don't even think she realizes how many changes/improvements that she has made in her life. I am so proud of her. I asked her if she remembered the dream I had. She said yes, that she has it in a blog, and thought she would go find it and refresh herself. She is getting closer in a lot of ways to my dream that I had that she was part of. She is a beautiful person, caring and loving and I cherish her friendship and support. She has become so active compared to last year, this is just one small or big difference...she has a huge list of them.
SONGBYRD: Well, she is the sweetest, and I just love her, and she has made a lot of changes too. I love to push her and she pushes me right back. I know she has been and is an awesome friend to SHANSHE, and I can't even explain in words, this beautiful woman, but a true inspiration and I've seen changes in her too! She is more active too.
08AMANDA - Wow, we've become closer friends this year. She challenges me and I challenge her. We are like virtual buddies. I have a few of those. But she too, has become more active, and we both are new to the LIME TEAM. She is inspirational, and a motivator and doing awesome with the burn!
MRSKRNR - She is one of my newest friends, she was also invited to the LIME TEAM, and we actually met on another team, but both of us are now LIME BUDDIES, we both have a lot in common, we both challenge each other, we both now have a walking schedule together, Tues. Thurs. Sat. to walk in the mornings. We found, after trying just one day, that we love it, it is almost like not exercising, because we chat, we laugh, and we push each other to take these pounds off. I love her to pieces. The funny thing is we both are not real social people outside of our homes, more hang with the family. Us actually meeting was like way outside our boxes, but we are so glad we did it!
Secondchance - she is a new friend this year, she is such a sweet person, and she is on the wii fit team that I joined. She actually leads the team. She is doing totally awesome. She is pushing for the burn. She encourages me. She inspires me. When I workout on the wii fit, her mii is working beside me...lol...form so perfect...lol...I go, man I need to improve my form...lol
CJSFITGOAL - She is a virtual buddy and friend along with 08Amanda. She loves the outdoors, she is going strong. Right now she is in middle of a big move, but keeps me updated, and I check on her. But when she is available, she goes strong with the challenges, and boy she pushes me, but I push her back...
BECCA_BEE - She is my inspiration. I love her to pieces too. She has gone from snail to runner.... she is so busy and active and loving life. She has become so much healthy and still working on it. She keeps on going. She sees weeks of 0, 0, 0, in loss, but she sticks to it, and she has lost over 70 pounds, and you can see so many differences. She was my inspiration last year and still is this year!
Debbie325 - She has become way more active. She is such an encourager.
I can't even begin to list everyone, but the ones I did mention have been on this journey a long time, or if new, have been a big part of my life in almost a daily part of my life. I have so many others too. I do have some friends that were like here, but are like gone, no clue, some that come back, some that stay gone. But the important thing is, each and everyone has something wonderful, and provided me some kind of support or learning.
So back to the scale, the 183.0 today was a big encouragement too me, particularly since I been seeing a 3 pound flex. I actually started getting scared, that I was some how failing, but to see it drop .4, tells me, my body is making adjustments, and that I am still moving down. Another big change, improvement, the big big hill yesterday, I actually did it way faster and hardly winded compared to two years ago. I still remember how hard that hill was and I was really wondering how bad of a struggle it was going to be this year. It wasn't easy, but it sure was compared to the last time.
All I can say to myself and everyone "DON'T GIVE UP" "KEEP ON GOING!" NO MATTER WHAT! AS HARD AS IT MAY BE, BELIEVE IN YOURSELF, YOU CAN DO IT! I CAN DO IT! WE CAN DO IT!
Thanks to everyone!

Wow, I am wiped out. I burned 1381 calories today! Ouch. I got up at 4:00 AM, and from previous blog, went walking with my Lime Friend. Well, I got home and off we went to Pt. Defiance to hike trails. We stopped at KFC for bucket of chicken for picnic before starting trail (breakfast/lunch combo). We all had a bottle of water.
Here is where we ate our lunch.
This is the start of the first trail head. This use to be Never Never Land, and cost and was really cool when I was a kid. Now it is primarily just a trail.
It has very few items left for kids or anyone to observe or for someone like me, that remembers it all.
This is slide that was preserved and left for kids to play on
This is a little itty bitty teetor totter preserved.
Dad and Shyanne having way too much fun!
Mom's turn!
The trail, we get to go down, but when you go down, you have to come back up!
old tree
The old well left over from Never Never Land and Dad being funny
Shyanne's turn
Reminence of never never land, most buildings, objects have been completely removed only the trail remains.
This is mushroom I found on trail of Never Never Land. Shyanne said that if the mushroom talked, she would scream. We laughed. It was rather funny.
This is the old shoe that still resides in Never Never Land, but it is sealed so you can't enter it, but at least the shoe is still there. Yes, I got my LIME shirt on! GO LIMES!
couldn't resist taking picture of this tree!
Old tree on trail
Finally arriving at the beach.
Getting ready to walk down cement path to beach, then walk the rocky/sandy beach.
This is the final part of trail getting to beach...Yes we climbed down that to get to the actual beach.
Big Rock on Beach.
My resting log
Hubby's Dream Boat
My devoted husband and I
It's part of the big never ending hill...LOL
Going up the hill
Part way up the hill
Up more of the hill...Shyanne not liking hill. She wanted dad to go get the car and come back for us...LOL...I said, nope, dad would never go walking again!
Nearing the top of the hill
This is a tiny tiny bird that we took pic of at top of hill on another trail. The bird fell off when I snapped picture.
GO LIMES GO! YOU CAN DO IT!
Shyanne and I on new trail top of hill wondering where it will take us, if to the Rhodadendrum gardens...but nope. It finally took us back to a main road.
This is hubby and me on trail
Finally to the road where the trail ended and on way back to car, and it turned out a lot closer going back then getting to the beach. It was all up hill going to car, but less steepness, but long, nothing like the never ending hill.
On our way out driving there was a cute raccoon on side of road.
We got to car, hubby says that he is tired, wiped out, and said, man, everytime you take me out you wipe me out...LOL
We stopped at McDonalds on way home, hubby got dipped cone, Shyanne and I got carmel sundays. I hit the high end of my range, but 35 calories over. I have a great deficit, and definitely, with the burn yesterday and today, I need to be on the higher end of my range.
There is nothing like being in nature. What a burn too! My hips and legs are quite sore. That never ending hill, we did two years ago, and I was a complete slug going up it with lots of stopping. This year, I did pretty well going up the hill and made it up a lot quicker than I did two years ago and not nearly as winded either. I do know that two years ago, I was 207, and boy what a difference, but I sure have a LONG WAY to go.

Ok, I met Tami this morning at 6:15. We both arrived at the trail head a little early, but we burned 609 calories. We both got some some sore muscles. It is now 9:00 AM and will be leaving to go get a chai tea, as I feel I can have one, and going to go to bank then the 5 mile drive with hubby and dd to hike trails and beach. We will do KFC for lunch, buy it and take it down to the beach to eat. I am curious as to what my burn will be for day 1 of my streak for 2nd 100 days. This being day 101, 609 calories to burn for first thing in the morning. I am basically done with my burn as far as being 500+ so if I did nothing I would be great, but I am actually excited about hiking trails and beach to see where my burn will be.
Tomorrow, we are planning a bike ride. NO, no spark friend until Tuesday. Tuesday, we will meet to do our walk. We will do at least 3 x and hoping for Saturday morning again, but need to see what we both have scheduled for Saturday. One thing, I believe, we both are finding, is we enjoy the walking together, keeps us moving, and no matter how sore we are, we got to do. The other thing, once we are done with our walk, close to 500, we are exceeding rest of day, so we definitely are both burning 500+ a day. This should make our scales move down. My scale has played havoc all week. It has flexed up down up up, down, and I am so Pre-TOM. DD is just finishing, so I should be seeing TOM any time this week, at least by next weekend, then I should see a good drop on scale. I will weigh tomorrow morning, no clue whether it will be up or down, but I know I am making progress and being physical and eating right, and on low side of range, and getting all or close to it of my water.
