Ha, how ironic, as I type this, the Biggest Loser is on TV...
Today was circuit 2, the focus was my biceps, back and hamstrings. The circuit took 50 minutes total and was another massive sweat producing workout. According to my heart rate monitor, I burned 585 calories... My max heart rate was 183 and I averaged 152. I didn't feel that it was as difficult as day 1's circuit. But I actually think that I knew what to expect so it felt easier. By no means was it easier! I did make sure that I streched all muscles worked, my neck is sore and I can feel that my legs will be heavy and sore tomorrow. I find that you have to be really motivated to push through this workout since there is no one there to tell you what to do. I find that rewriting the workouts in a notebook to be benificial. It allows you to see, in print, what is expected that day. Also forces you to look up any exercises that seem unfamiliar. I also did a 48 minute kickboxing dvd after I was done. WOW, what a killer workout. NOTE* I do not have a lat pull down machine, so to substitute and mimic the movement, I tied a knot in one of my resistance bands, closed it in my door and used a broom handle to "make" a lat pull down type machine. I had to get on my knees (so that it was taught enough) and could do many more than suggested... it worked for what I needed since I am not truly looking to build my lats to much*
Tomorrow is a rest day, although I will still go for my run.
The diet isn't hard to stick to, I find that more fat keeps me much fuller than I normally am. My sodium is way to high. I will have to take a look at my food choices and try to lower that.
Ahh, well I am tired :)
