The last 4 weeks....

I have spent the last 4 weeks trying to get back on track so that I could get a loss for the month...I have 2 days to go and so far I have only lost .6 pounds (176.2) is my current weight. If I look at the big picture I actually feel hopeless ..especially since I have two Vacations planed between now and the end of the year...but, you know what at the first of this year I was 210 pounds ..No, I didn't get to my goal of 129.9 but, I feel really good and there's always next year...I hope one year from now I'm sitting here at my goal but, if not that's okay!!
As long as I'm still pushing! emoticon

Staying off the scale

It's always hard for me to stay off the scale....not sure why and usually it helps me to see me weight but, right now it is not....so I'm making a goal to see how long I can stay off of it. 7 days is my goal! Sunday I weighed in at 178.2 .....I'm hoping if I can stay off until next Tuesday I will see a dramatic loss.

    I go back and forth on this issue all the time. Sometimes you just need a break from The constant stress of the scale.

    Wondergale- I need mine too most of the time but, sometimes it hurts more than helps...I'm still using it jut a little less.

I posted my blog..........and then 3 minutes later Fruitful and my Husband literally minutes apart sent me the same text "Are you out walking / jogging?" Nags!!! emoticon

So I got off my butt and went for my jog!

While jogging I think I had a memory of last Fall / Winter....if I remember right I used to get up and do 30 something minutes on my treadmill (until my treadmill over heated) and then if I wasn't being a big baby about the cold I would then walk outside. If the weather was bad or I had too much to do I would then do what I needed and then if I felt like it was nice outside or if I needed to d-stress or whatever other reason I would then take a walk or two or three in whatever time frames I had at that moment.....Yes, yes I believe this is how I did it....that way if I never walked outside that day at least I got my 30 something minutes first thing in the morning! And there's always another 30 something minutes in the evening if needed right? emoticon

Adjusting with the seasons

I'm finding it hard to adjust with the seasons......I know I walked outside all Winter long and Spring last year but, I cant remember my schedule...all I know is this Summer I had to be up and walking by 6 am otherwise it got to hot for me to walk until late in the evening. So that is what I am used to doing getting out of bed and getting a good portion of my steps out of the way first thing...it is now 11:30am and it's not going to get much warmer then the 46 degrees it is now so I should head out but, I find myself wanting to just take a nap! I know if I just get off my butt I will feel GREAT but, I'm worried about how I'm going to talk myself into walking day after day.....It's silly thought because I remember when Summer hit I was disappointed that I couldn't just walk when I felt like it because it was too Hot....I need to move to San Diego so I can walk anytime of the day!

Second issue I'm having is that I have started enjoying experimenting with cooking especially during the Winter months and I find myself getting frustrated with logging new recipes...I just don't want to log.....some might say then don't but, I have that all or nothing mentality if I don't log everything I will eat like crap and too much all day.....so I personally have too which is keeping me from making new yummy things emoticon .......

Well I guess the answer is stop being lazy ...go for a jog and come back and log my new recipe!

Once I figure it out I need to blog about it so that next October it isn't so traumatic! emoticon

    The cold weather does make it super hard. You could always try to find an indoor track, or get in some treadmill time. It's not as enjoyable as outside but it gets the job done.

    I hope you're out walking/jogging. I'm tempted to call you and make sure that you are! You can do this! You can still do your morning workouts in the cold, can't you? Do I need to buy you a new set of headlights???

    I understand your frustration! I'm a winter person myself -- I can barely drag myself out of doors in hot Georgia summers.

I do agree that you should log all recipes. It's a great benefit to know what's in your dishes and how the calories / carbs / fats / proteins add up.
