Would you like to play a game.....I was thinking about creating a challenge .......taking 7 days (we can decide which 7 when we figure out who is playing) anyways....take 7 days and challenge ourselves to increase our steps by 10% over those 7 days ... and decrease our calorie intake 10% ....just for 7 days and see what the scale has to say in the end......Does anyone want to play! emoticon

example:

March 18th-24th

I took 97992 steps
and ate 13,443 Calories

so for 7 days I would need to increase my steps to 107,791 (that's an average o 15,399 steps a day)
and I would need to decrease my Calories to 12,098 (that's an average of 1728 calories a day)

Does this make sense? You would be competing against your own numbers?

    I'm in! It won't be hard for me to beat last week's numbers by 10% since I was such a slug for three out of the seven days. It was a rough week. But today is a new day and a new week and I'm ready to knock off these last couple of pounds so I can get to 50 lbs total lost! Woo hoo!

Last week, (April 14-29), I took 65,687 steps and ate 11,214 calories.

Increasing my steps by 10% means I need to take 72,256 steps this week and I need to reduce my calories by 10% which would be 10,093 calories.

Daily, that means I need to take 10,322 steps per day and eat no more than 1442 calories per day.

I'm sure I can do the steps, but I worry about the calories. That's at the very low end of my range. But, I'm up for the challenge! Just let me know which days we're using!

    Hi! Sounds like a FUN! I'll try! MY nickname is Piper. I think this sounds great. I NEED some motivation to move more and eat less..as I have a wedding to go to on May 4th. And I would LOVE to drop a couple of extra pounds before I go to the wedding.

Back to the basics....

So today is my Day #2 ....a wise sparker suggested today that maybe I should tweak somethings.... so I decided that I just need to go back to the basics of tracking EVERYTHING I should be doing this anyways but, I have become a little relaxed on one bite here one bite there....one chip here on chip there....and it all adds up .... for 7 days I'm going to measure EVERYTHING...If I cant track I cant eat it...I'm also going to stay within my calorie ranges that Spark gives me ...Fitbit gives me more because of my activity but, for just 7 days starting today I'm going to stay below 10,850 for the 7days.

Goal:

Log everything and stay below 10,850
Thursday April 18th-Wednesday April 24th.
Starting Weight

    Tracking really does help. I wish it wasn't the only way but it just makes it so much easier to hold yourself accountable. Good luck, you've already done it, I know you can.
