Back to the basics....

Thursday, April 18, 2013

So today is my Day #2 ....a wise sparker suggested today that maybe I should tweak somethings.... so I decided that I just need to go back to the basics of tracking EVERYTHING I should be doing this anyways but, I have become a little relaxed on one bite here one bite there....one chip here on chip there....and it all adds up .... for 7 days I'm going to measure EVERYTHING...If I cant track I cant eat it...I'm also going to stay within my calorie ranges that Spark gives me ...Fitbit gives me more because of my activity but, for just 7 days starting today I'm going to stay below 10,850 for the 7days.

Goal:

Log everything and stay below 10,850
Thursday April 18th-Wednesday April 24th.
Starting Weight
188.2

Tracking really does help. I wish it wasn't the only way but it just makes it so much easier to hold yourself accountable. Good luck, you've already done it, I know you can.

I need to start over.....

Tuesday, April 16, 2013

I'm starting to get to relaxed ....I keep picking at this picking at that....and it all adds up! I know there is a fine line and I'm walking on the wrong side....my all or nothing mentality makes it so that either I'm on track or I'm not. I would like to enjoy myself once in a while but, it looks like until I get to my goal that may be imposable ....... So I'm starting over at Day #1!!!

I so know what you mean. Its too easy to go crazy when you have an all or nothing mentality, I'm the same way. More and more I'm realizing I may never get to really let loose. The good news is, food isn't the only way to have fun, but it sure is the tastiest way.

Maybe setting a goal weight on a certain day hinders rather than helps us. So, you went off track a couple of days. I agree with Fruityful. We're going to have days like that. You can do this! emoticon

You can do this. You had two days where you went off track. That's going to happen. It happened to both of us the first time we took this journey. It cannot be perfect. So, tomorrow is your new day 1. What kind of reward should you give yourself after 30 days? Time to set some rewards. You stopped planning for those and so did I. That's why I came up with the Toms. I need to pick an April reward though.

I'm going to figure something out for your 30 day reward too. Hmmm...I need to figure something out.

You've got this Kristi! I know you can do it....you're so close to your "Ellen" weight!

Congrats on not giving up completely. Sometimes we have to have to go off the wagon to recognize what is really important in our lives...and getting back on the right track is so worth it. Congrats on your decision!!!

That's the first article I've read that talked about a minimum amount of sodium. My breakfast of oatmeal, ground flax seed, brown sugar, and milk contains only 109mg of sodium. When I start my day off that way, it gives me a lot of room for the rest of the day's foods to have more sodium.

Thanks for sharing! emoticon
