Struggling

I'm really struggling since Spring started. I'm fine in the morning and most afternoons its not until the evening usually right after dinner. It used to be that if I told myself I was not going to do something I didnt do it. But now I tell myself I'm not going to do it and it's like I challenged myself to do it and I end up doing what I did not do???????? I dont know if this is making any sense but, it's really frusterating. I sure hope Spark is around for the rest of my life because I think I will need it that long.

    Oh Kristi, I know how you feel. I'm going through the same exact thing. I just try not to beat myself up about it and say that tomorrow is a new day. I have been quite successful with just trying to keep busy in the evenings. With the nice weather, I've just found things to do outside, or I get the family to walk to the grocery store or wherever we need to go. Just keep plugging away. I too hope that sparkpeople is here forever!

    Do you have any favorite guilt free foods that you could enjoy that you might have tucked away for yourself for such occasions. Your pictures of before and current are trully inspirational. You are doing sooo good!

    When this occurs get up and go, walk/play a board game/ drink water just get busy...also decide early in the day to save calories for the late cravings and choose a jello, or fruit with whipped topping...if its activity you decided on and you are not doing it, get someone else involved, make a walk date...or such so you are accountable...you have come so far and with patience the rest will come.

POISON

I have decided that pasta is poison to me! 2 oz is 200 calories.......I dont know if any of you have measured 2 oz of pasta before but, that is not a lot. Of course I measure mine wet not dry so mabey that is the problem. All I know is that any time I have any type of pasta dish all of the sudden I'm craving everything and I'm never full I feel so out of control like it's some kind of drug. I think I might have to give up pasta all together it has way too much control over me.

  Oh I do understand the pasta problem. My husband loves pasta salads. Do you know what a PATHETIC amount I get to have??

What I've started doing is having spaghetti squash with red sauce. Ok, it's not pasta but it looks like spaghetti and is pretty good with red sauce (and is insanely low in calories). When I make pasta salads I now add tons of veggies and some beans (I make an individual serving for myself). We've also switched to whole wheat pasta which seems to keep me full longer.
(Oh, but I do miss those days of carb loading with a big plate of pasta, some garlic bread, a glass of wine, and something carby for... oops, sorry got a bit off track there.)

Anyway, I completely understand. We rarely have pasta anymore.

WEEK 33 DONE!

I'm down 2 lbs this week Yeah me! That puts me at 177. My birthday is in 2 weeks and my goal was to be at 173. I JUST MIGHT MAKE IT!

I'm still not doing exactly what I need to be doing to reach my goals but, I'm working on it and that's what counts.

8 Month's (32 weeks)

Well I'm down 2lbs this week for a total of 81lbs. That mean I lost 5 lbs this month.


I'm not really happy with a 5lb loss, I think 7 is ok so next month I'm going to start focusing on the things that I have started letting go of.

HERE IS MY REMINDER LIST:
I'm going to up my water to 20 cups a day
I'm going to track ALL my food the night before or the morning of. (and stick with it)
I'm going to make sure that my fat is as close to 30% as poss.
Protien 15% or higher and Carbo's at 55% that seemed to make a difference.
I'm going to start working out 6 days a week again.
I'm going to do my last chance workout every Saturday Night!

If I do all these things and next month I only lose 5lbs again then I will know I did everything I could do but, if I lose 8-10lbs again I will know that I just need to keep stepping it up.

I admire your dedication. Reading this and looking at your progress, it's amazing to see how far you've come, and it's obvious that you have gotten good results from your hard work. I hope I'm next. Meant to get over here sooner and say hi to a fellow camp counselor, but today is the first day that's been slow enough for me to do it, LOL!
