before....I never would have counted my day at work as exercise.....before I never would have taken a quick ten min. walk....before I never would have decided to do things around the house after my husband got home from work just to rack up steps...before I never would have walk my butt, in 20 degree weather...before I never would have realized that the days I work I can eat over 2000 calories and the days I don't I'm lucky to be able to eat 1200 ...before I never knew how much I would LOVE IT! Yesterday (Sunday I was determined to figure out how to hit my day off goal of 10,000 without ruining my lazy when I got up the first thing I did was take a quick 25 min. walk on my Treadmill....then I did a few things....a few hours later I bundled up and took a 50 min walk outside (the time goes by so much quicker) and I ended my day at over 12,000 steps .... emoticon the more I walk the more I want to walk! Thank you Spark & Fitbit!

    I agree! I don't mind walking up and down the isles at the grocery store or making several trips to bring in the groceries. Its an amazing gadget that is holding me accountable. Who knew a "personal trainer" could be so inexpensive? emoticon

    That little gadget is very motivating isn't it?

I'm the same way, i used to sit in the break room on my breaks, now I run laps around the conference room table. Never would have done that if fitbit hadn't made me very aware of my inactive life.

Sundays are for laying around

This is the hardest day for me to get steps on my Fitbit..... It's the only day my husband and I both have off I just want to lay around and watch t.v. .....I think that would be fine except I also want to eat and according to my fitbit ...if I dont move I only have 700 calories that I can eat today....and I need at least 1500 to feel happy emoticon So today when I first got out of bed I did 25 minutes on my treadmill and then did a few things around the house I'm going to take a quick (50 min) walk in the freezing cold outside and then call it good for the day...I'm hoping those two things will help me hit my goal of 10,000 steps today and will allow me to be able to eat what I want (ok maybe now what I want but, smaller portions of what I want).     Steps are a good goal - you don't have to do a heavy duty workout on Sunday, a day of rest is perfectly fine. You could just go for a stroll together.

I made it! I made it! I made it!

I logged all my food...( I even had 3 drinks ) after hours of pouting.

I baked pastries for my brothers birthday party today and I ate Carnitas.


I was down another..1.8lbs this morning emoticon

Last January I started the year off at 209.6 and this year I am starting it off at 208.8.

I would now say I have finally figured out how to maintain!

So....this year it's time to take off 80 pounds...reach my goal...and start my maintenance program (I think fitbit will be perfect for that)

Happy New Year everyone 2013 is going to be my year...Did I mention I booked A 7 day cruise to the Eastern Caribbean for this year? emoticon

    It's just Saturdays after 2pm until bedtime that I have a problem....I'm fine Fridays,Sundays and all morning Saturdays.

So my mom text me the other day and asked me to make the dessert for my brother's birthday party Sunday.....I swear I always get assigned to dessert when I am dieting....anyways I think she actually does it to help me (so I can make something healthy). I used to bake all the time when I dieted when I was in my early 20's living at home.... I would bake it and everyone would eat it ( I am the oldest of 6) and then I would feel better. Now that I'm married the last thing I want to do is make sugary crap form my own kids.... emoticon so I don't bake often. Well today I decided I was going to make something really bad "Chocolate Chip Cupcakes" and I'm not going to stop there I'm also going to make "Moist Almond Cake" and last but, not least a recipe from Fruityful "Easy Applesauce Pumpkin Muffins" so that I have something I can eat when they are all eating the other crap...I haven't figured out the calories on the Chocolate Chip Muffins yet but, the Almond Cake is 148 Calories ...If I don't put anything on it and the Apple-Pumpkin Muffins are 97 Calories. Anyways I just wanted to share....BTW this is what I am doing to keep myself from eating Chips and drinking Rum all night emoticon
