    JESSIHOVER2- my husband agrees with you emoticon I've decided that I'm going to go with out the drinks for the next 21-25 days and then try to add them in without the food. We shall see!

    In 2007 when I lost 100 pounds...I didn't have to worry about any day of the week because I didn't have a job and my husband was always at work so there was never a wind down day for us...now that I am working and he has Saturday nights off that has become our wind down night which usually (ok always) involves drinks and Carnitas which includes tortilla chips ....that is why Saturdays have become a problem for me. I just need to figure out another way to wind down and still enjoy the night.

    Saturdays are hard!! There is no way around it, just make the best out of the that you can and be really good the rest of the week. It all works out in the end. Best of luck to you, this will be a great year!!

    Hmm...Saturdays seem to be the consistent challenge for you. I think if you come up with a plan for Saturdays, the rest of the occcasions are so few and far between that if you do well the rest of the time, you can allow yourself a splurge here and there, along with making some simple substitutes.

Happy New Year 2013

So today I remind myself that 2007 was not easy but, it sure was worth it! emoticon

I am reminding myself how hard the first 3 weeks of being 100% on track actually was....I was very moody (Bitchy and cried a lot) once the first 21 days passed I still had hard days but, good decisions came so much easier!

I am reminding myself that these feelings of reservation are mearly the bad food and lack of exercise talking. If I fuel myself with healthy foods and lots of exercise I will want to stay on track.....if I feed myself full of crap I will feel like crap and I will want to give up.

So it's as simple as this ...I can make losing 80 ish pounds easy and enjoyable on myself by making the right decisions or I can continue to fight myself everyday .....so Mrshoneycomb what is it going to be?

    We can do this! Remember how nothing stopped us from tracking or exercising or doing what we needed to do for us? I remember going to the gym at 5am, waiting outside in the cold for the front door to open, with a chest cold and sore throat, and I still worked out! I used to go to lunch or dinner with friends, coworkers, or family, and order a salad and bring my own dressing, and I weighed and measured everything! I'm going back to that, damn it, and so should you. This is what worked for us before....so let's do it again!!!!!

    This is what I wrote in my blog last January 1st 2012 "Well 1 year ago I was sitting here at 240 pounds wondering if I ate right and exercised some of the time and didn't worry about the all or nothing ...would I even lose any weight? I am happy to say that I am now sitting her at 210 lbs and happy to say yes ... I spent less than half of my time really focused on losing weight and I was able to get off 30lbs ... not the 101 pounds that I lost in 2007 but, I think I've learned a lot more about maintenance and honestly I think maintaining is a lot harder then losing."

I didn't lose any weight this year but, maintaining was a success! emoticon

One month on Fitbit

It's been 1 month since I started wearing my Fitbit...according to the numbers I burned 82596 calories over the last month so if I'm calculating it correct that means in order to maintain my weight I can eat 3000 calories a day and 2000 if I want to lose 2 pounds a week....Well Holy Crap....do I really eat that much when I am not counting calories? emoticon

Fitbit Test Week #1

So I decided to test my fitbit and eat the amount of calories that It said I could for an entire week. I only did two 50 min. workouts in the last 7 days (the rest is just my normal weekly routine).

That means I ate an average of 2007 calories a day and still lost 1.4 pounds! emoticon

The test was supposed to be a 2 pound loss...but, I know that Calories are not exact (especially when you are measuring or eating out) so my plan this week is to do this again but, with daily exercise (I would like to burn 300 planned cardio min. a day)

    Yep ... I took a walk on Tuesday and Thursday and that's it! This week I plan to get in at least 7 hours of cardio.
