One month on Fitbit

Wednesday, December 26, 2012

It's been 1 month since I started wearing my Fitbit...according to the numbers I burned 82596 calories over the last month so if I'm calculating it correct that means in order to maintain my weight I can eat 3000 calories a day and 2000 if I want to lose 2 pounds a week....Well Holy Crap....do I really eat that much when I am not counting calories? emoticon

No, I'm eating plenty ....anytime I get anxiety which is most of the time. It's just eye opening to see it in black and white.

Fitbit Test Week #1

Tuesday, December 11, 2012

So I decided to test my fitbit and eat the amount of calories that It said I could for an entire week. I only did two 50 min. workouts in the last 7 days (the rest is just my normal weekly routine).

Total Burned Total Eaten Deficit
21273 cals 2% 14053 cals 238% -7220 cals

That means I ate an average of 2007 calories a day and still lost 1.4 pounds! emoticon

117972 steps taken
61 floors climbed
49.26 miles traveled

Time active (excluding sleep)
sedentary
52.9
fairly active
18.7
lightly active
26.3
very active
2.1

Starting Weight 208.2
Current Weight 206.8

The test was supposed to be a 2 pound loss...but, I know that Calories are not exact (especially when you are measuring or eating out) so my plan this week is to do this again but, with daily exercise (I would like to burn 300 planned cardio min. a day)

See you next week with the results!!! emoticon

Yep ... I took a walk on Tuesday and Thursday and that's it! This week I plan to get in at least 7 hours of cardio.

That's awesome! I didn't realize that you only did two workouts this week. Those results are pretty darn good. I can't wait to get my Fitbit!

I'm glad to hear that others are happy with their Fitbit.
I really liked my BodyBugg, but it was just so big.

Day before Thanksgiving 2012

Wednesday, November 21, 2012

When I woke up this morning and stood on the scale...I almost went back to bed...which would have lead to eating too much later ....but, I instead decided that I need to walk outside today despite the fact that is below 40 and the wind is blowing 15 miles an hour... emoticon I found a pair of gloves and ear muffs and off I went. Not for my usual 2.5 miles but, this time I decided I needed to walk 6+ miles......Well I made it! emoticon And when I got home the scale was nice to me 206.8 ....tomorrow is my weight in day....I'm hoping for 206.2 .....I have my whole day laid out in front of me all I have to do is stick to the plan!!!

I am so proud of you! No matter what the scale says tomorrow, you have done an excellent job and you are building a foundation that will help burn off those calories more efficiently as you go. You're getting in shape and your metabolism will speed up and you will sleep better....and the list goes on. Way to go!!
